Revlon ColorStay Foundation - Combination/Oily Review

This used to always be my go to foundation, however I kept getting alot of breakouts all over my face so i changed my brand of foundation and no longer have that problem. It looked nice when freshly applied but wasnt long lasting on my skin, especially the tzone (being oily).

Have used this product for years every day. Lasts all day long and doesn't rub off. Perfect cover and looks flawless.

this was the first foundation i ever bought. i was so nervous in the store but the lady helping me was helpful and took the time to help me choose the right colour. i has been very forgiving and as i get better, it gets better and easier to use every day. will investigate other products from this line in the near future

I have been using this for years and have tried others and always come back to it. I find that this lasts longer than any other foundation I have tried. Lasts about 7-8 hours, definitely not 24 hours as it claims but then what foundation does. It dries quickly when applied and I find that I can't add any more on top as it just takes the bottom layer off so you do have to move pretty quickly. I think this is moderate to full coverage but if you apply to much can look a bit thick. Revlon does have a great range of shades. For a cheaper foundation it works great.

I recently switched to this product from Revlon photoready. This foundation is a medium to full coverage and applies nicely. I find that it lasts a full day on my face but don't know if it would last 24 hours like it suggests that it would. I like the colour range of this product I wear the lightest shade and its a good value for money because one bottle will last me at least 6 months of everyday use.

I LOVE Revlon products but I have found this foundation doesn't last as long as it says it will, certainly not 24 hours. I have normal to oily skin (more normal than oily) and I found by late afternoon I would have to apply powder as it had gone quite shiny and looked a little like it was wearing off (I use a face primer as well). Also if you're after a full coverage foundation this is only a medium I would say. An overall good product but there are better foundations out there if you're after a long lasting all day wear make-up, especially in summer time! :)

This was my first foundation and after years of using other foundations have returned to this one. The coverage is as good as mac but it still looks like your own skin. It battles the problem of oily skin for most of the day while still having a glow, so you aren't completely matt. I LOVE this product however for my oily/combination skin, it does tend to wear off towards the end of the day, however it still lasts longer then other drug store brands I've tried. It lasts over 24h as it claims on the areas away from my T-zone.

This foundation was the first foundation I ever used, i have tried alot of foundations and always come back to this one! The combination/oily combo is very easily to apply with a foundation brush and to blend in it doesnt have a thick consistency which is good. They have heaps of colours for your skin which I found was good to! Its very affordable and lasts quite a long time. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a foundation that would be there everyday wear as you can apply a light coverage and a fuller coverage to.

I have to admit, when it comes to makeup, foundation is one thing i dont mind spending extra money on to find a good one, However lately ive been really loving these "Drugstore" brands, My go to foundation is Rimmel match perfection and i find this one to be very similar in consistency and coverage, the one difference is Rimmel has a refreshing feel and a pleasant scent, where as this has no scent and feels like..... well like foundation.

Coverage: I would say is medium coverage, is build able but too easy to cake.

Consistency: A semi-thick liquid, definitely feels like your wearing foundation but isnt heavy.

Blend ability: GREAT for blending, and with a wide shade range its easy to find a color that matches or comes extremely close

Oxidization: I thought at first that there wasnt an oxidizing problem with this foundation, and compared to alot of other foundations ive used, there isnt, BUT after a few hours on the face i did notice a very slight color difference. Darker and a little faded.

Also just a random side note, After a few hours wear this foundation does have that nasty sweaty damp smell that some foundations get after a few hours wear. I use a facial spritz to get rid of it though.

This is my favourite lower end foundation that I have uses for years now .it is a thick consistency and you would need to moisturize or use a primer before. It dries up quick so try to work with sections for better and smooth application. Although it says 24hours, I haven't had it on for that long.i think it lasts about 7-8hours and needs to be touched up again.ofcourse you would need to power over it to last longer.overall, this is a very good foundation and rated as one of the best foundations
