After using this product I have decided I don't like the matte finish as I find it looks cakey. However it does give the matte finish it claims to give so no complaints on that behalf.

This good stuff lasts all day I don't go shinny super cheap but good quality. I do have to be light handed with this or it can make me look a little cakey
Tips: Be light handed
I am so in love with this powder. It has become one of my holy grail products. Love the fact that its so cheap and easy to find.
I have oily skin so its imperative for me to use a good setting powder. I like the translucent one the best. i find colored powders can easily make my foundation look cakey and change the color of it.
I use a kabuki brush and swirl it around. i really dont need much at all. it helps my makeup last all day! it gives a great matte finish also.
I love this powder and will be using forever!
Like most of us, we can't always afford the most expensive product on the shelf, well sometimes you don't need too!
The Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder is perfect for just that, low price (only $16.95) and easy to get your hands on! I do notice it goes pretty quickly, but when your wanting to duck in to your local Farmers and grab a great powder before payday or your next big splurge on high-end products this is for you!
Tips: I apply with a big powder brush all over the face, I then go back over any oily areas (for myself, nose & chin) with a sponge and dab a little extra on.
For a cheap-er powder it seems to do its job well! I use this to set my eye primer as I have terribly oily eye lids and it really helps to set it all day! It gives something for my eye shadow to cling onto, and since I have started doing this there has been no creasing! Even with cheaper eye shadows. It doesn't work as good when I use my FitMe powder so that's made me think that it is this powder that is helping! There are probably other powders that do the same thing, but this is it for me :) Also quite good for setting my foundation in my oilier moments haha
Tips: Wait a couple minutes for everything to dry before putting the powder on! :) Foundation, concealer, eye primer etc.. Fill in your eyebrows in the mean time
My current go to powder at the moment in the shade transulant. I love this powder especially when I can't find the shade for my skin tone. The application of the powder is so easy to apply and with some powders it doesn't blend out well were you see powder spots, with this powder it doesn't do that
Tips: For a flawless finish instead of sweeping the powder over your skin firstly stipple it on then sweep afterwards so this doesn't disturb the foundation
This is just that powder that I will always come back to in the end, it gives such a matte finish which I appreciate when my skin is at its oiliest. It fights off shine for hours, and if it does break through you don't look like a complete oil slick which I love!
Tips: Liquid highlights underneath the powder still show through nicely, but are best when topped off with a powder highlight!
Absolutely love Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I have Combination oily skin and I sometimes find when powdering my face it can look cakey, But I don't get that with this product. And it can be super cheap depending where you find it.
Tips: I also find using a flat top brush also works best rather then a big powder brush
First seeing this bland power hanging on a shelf at the warehouse for $15.00.. I walked past it.
I later came back and grabbed it - why not? It's cheap.
I applied this with a brush over the top of my foundation and wow! Love it!
The light pressed powder was just the right tone to even out my hastily applied liquid foundation and made my face so smooth! Even applying to the wet foundation didn't make it cake or gather, went on so evenly!
My friend recently raved about this before we went out one night, I pulled out mine too when we were getting ready - we are both so in love with our powders.
The only down-fall is that I do have to reapply after a while as I start to get shiny. I still haven't come across a product that won't stop my face becoming shiny so I'm still on the look out!
But until then, this powder will happily do. Definitely recommend it. Cheap, effective - what more could you want in a powder!
I bought this on ASOS conjoint with the rimmel stay matte foundation and I absolutely loved it! It's good to use as a setting powder on regular foundations but not so much on the rimmel foundation as it makes already flawless finish of the stay matte foundation a bit cakey and too powdered. It is good with this foundation however as a touch up during the day when you see your foundation beginning to shine. Love it!
