I am not usually a fan of rose based fragrances and fine them heavy and heady, but I like Stella. It is a sophisticated scent with a musky almost sandalwood note that balances the rose. There is something fresh too, but I can't put my finger on what! I enjoyed this scent for summer evenings or winter during the day.

Stella McCartney Stella
The first fragrance by STELLA McCARTNEY, inspired by the fragile beauty of a rose, is contrasted by sensuality of amber.
Playing with the opposition of the masculine and the feminine as well, the bottle’s lines, both precious and sharp, frame a seemingly infinite plum dégradé.

this is by far my fav perume it smells so devine and stays on all day and plus the name is beautiful (my daughter is called Stella)
Tips: i always put a dab on back of neck stays all day long
BEAUTIFUL!! I love this perfume my b/f buys me a lot of Stella perfumes and although I think they all pretty much smell the same I love them nonetheless.
Just like all the other Stella perfumes this one is sexy, sweet (but not too sweet), long lasting and has an almost seductive fresh aroma. It is very feminine, a true girls perfume.
I love it and I love Stella in general, I always get compliments from this Stella perfume and the others. Will always purchase.
I was given this fragrance as a gift. This was the first time I had ever smelt this before and was in love! It has a floral scent mixed with a sweet smell. It doesn't last very long though so I did have to keep re-applying.
Gorgeous feminine empowered and enchantingly seductive! Not for the faint or meek this scent is for a bold woman who takes charge is unapologetic in her confidence.
Tips: If it's a too heavy strong but you like the smell try her summer version
I got a bottle with my Fly Buys points, I'd never smelled it before, but I'm glad I got it. I've never smelled another perfume like it. It reminds me of a talc powder or a really nice bubblebath lol, but it's not sickly sweet or old person smelling at all. I would buy a bottle of it again for sure.
Tips: Doesn't last all day, I take my perfume of the day everywhere anyway, but this one you kind of need to if you want to smell pretty all day.
30ml EDP, purchased myself on sale -- I probably wouldn't pay full price for it.
This isn't a terribly complicated perfume, but will probably garner a few "you smell good" comments. The initial blast is full on rose, but that dies down pretty quickly. For a couple of hours I get the sweetness of the amber, and it almost makes me think of candy -- it's a really well blended perfume, and I find it hard to pick out the notes. It's just like a warm hug, and has a little whiff of incense to it too. It is a totally feminine perfume, but not girly -- more sophisticated and slightly edgy.
It doesn't last very long on my skin, and I would recommend layering it with the lotion if you are really keen on it. Alone, it doesn't have much silage and sits quite close to the skin.
(If you're after something fresher and sharper, I would recommend Balenciaga Florabotanica -- rose with a bit of mint.)
My 30ml bottle is a sleeker design than the larger sizes -- the whole thing including the cap is shaped like a rectangle with the corners cut off, and is faceted like a cut diamond. It would be quite handy to travel with as it isn't awkwardly shaped.
Tips: Layer it with the matching lotion if you want it to last longer. Even plain unscented lotion might work.
A new friend was wearing a beautiful fragrance and I asked her what it was, and it was Stella.......my husband loved it too, so we bought some on our way out of the country a couple of weeks ago. It's a beautiful, light perfume that smells of roses and lasts all day. Great for day, night or weekends. I'm usually a Gucci girl, but Stella has expanded my perfume preference into florals. You can't go wrong adding Stella into your collection.
Stella makes the top two for my all time favourite fragrances. It has been unavailable in NZ for the past few years, and there really isn't anything remotely similar. It is the perfect combination of floral and sweet, classy and girly. It is not a sharp scent, but it does grab your attention. To my taste, no notes stand out more than another and they blend together perfectly.
Stella has just recently been released into the NZ market again, and I was quick to pick up a 100ml bottle. It smells as delicious and 'me' as ever. I love this as an everyday scent, as it doesn't scream for attention, but is still noticed by many. It lasts well on the skin - although perhaps not quite as well as Armani fragrances. The bottle is nothing fancy, but sturdy, practical and great for travelling. The final selling point for me is that this fragrance isn't widely worn. Not many people have tried it, know about it or wear it, so it is more of a signature scent. I will continue to reach for this fragrance and am very likely to repurchase in the future.
Tips: Leave this to settle for a few minutes as it is sharp as soon as it is applied.
As a woman in my 40s, this fragrance is light enough to feel 'young', but subtle enough for this 'mature' woman to wear. Incredibly feminine, the rose smell of the perfume is not overwhelming, nor like your Grandma's perfume. It's more fresh and youthful. Love it!
