I was using the Essano oil but when it finished, I thought I would try the Trilogy based on great reviews and minimal price difference.
Whilst it worked almost the same as Essano (I doubt here is much difference actually), I found this had a weird smell on my skin - almost like fish oil. Even though I only use it in the evening, the smell is pretty gross.
Yes it did what it claimed it would - left my skin soft smooth and evened out, but the smell puts me off. Luckily I only bought the small bottle!
I am keen to try other Trilogy rosehip products to see if they all smell like this!
I was lucky enough to get a 2.5ml sample off a friend of this. I was really wanting to try this anyway after seeing the amazing reviews here on BR and elsewhere on the internet. I had also been looking for a serum, or another product which would give my skin some more moisture when needed. I wasn't put off by putting an oil on my skin as I know these can be just what dry skin needs.
The product itself is very thin as you would expect for a oil. I find the smell of the product really puts me off and will be the main reason that I won't be repurchasing this (other than the fact I have so many other products to use up!). I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like, but I find it quite strong and it puts me off.
I have been using this on my face at night before moisturiser and I feel like it doesn't sink in to my skin at all. I wake up and go to do my morning cleanse and it my skin feels oily like this hasn't sunk in at all. However I must say my skin does feel very moisturised.
Overall I just don't think I am a fan of putting oils all over my skin. For me this might be something for particularly dry spots, and not an all over fix.
