First of all the packaging - very 'natural' and rather plain which for a natural product I guess is pretty good but if I was buying for the first time, I have to admit it wouldn't get my attention. However the pottle inside was a total different story.
Opened the pottle up, excited to be trialing another great Trilogy product and the first thing that put me off was the smell. I'm afraid that it's just not a smell that's for me so I was quite hesitant about trying it. The balm was extremely hard to get out so warming first was an absolute must do and I was curious about trying it across my forehead as I have really dry skin there and I'm always looking for something that will eliminate the dryness. This product wasn't it. I did find it helped with dry elbows etc and other less sensitive areas but for my face this wasn't a product I would personally use again. However my friend tried it and absolutely loved it so it just shows how different we all are and how different products affect us in different ways
At first, I was a little skeptical about using the balm anywhere, but after reading on the box that it is perfectly fine to use on babies, I was reassured. On the first day I tried it on my lips as they were suffering chapped winter lips and I haven't used anything else since. It conditions your lips really well, I apply before bed and when I wake up I have soft smooth lips. I like the Everything Balm as it has a beeswax base (rather than a petroleum base) which is absorbed rather quickly. I also tried it on my acne on my face, it seemed to have cleared up a lot by the next day! I like that the balm is semi-hard in the pottle as it means that it doesn't move around a lot and you only get a little bit out. I also tried it on my elbows, as elbows are always dry and I didn't see a huge difference, but maybe I didn't put enough on? The scent of the balm is really nice, it reminds me of a oil mum had when I was a kid. Another thing I like about the Trilogy Everything Balm is that it is made in New Zealand, as the Trilogy products are. Thanks BR and Trilogy for giving me a chance to review the Everything Balm
Tips: Leave your finger in the pottle for a little while until the balm melts, then it is easier to apply.
