Sensodyne Sensodyne Repair & Protect Toothpaste Whitening Toothpaste Review

I was actually really excited to get two sample sizes of this from the dentist - I'd never been given freebies at the dentist before lol. I got the non-whitening version of this. I'd just gotten a huge filling and was hoping this would help the tooth be less sensitive whilst it settled down. It didn't help at all and I felt like all my teeth became a wee bit sensitive whilst I used it (they're not normally). It did leave my teeth feeling clean and had a pleasant taste. I wouldn't purchase it though as it is quite expensive and did not help sensitivity at all.

i keep getting sensodyne toothpaste in goodie bags which makes me think they either love freebies or they domt have a big following.

The toothpaste bubbles up nicely but its always so hot! It burns my tongue with its icy freshness its ridiculous! But i cant deny my mouth feels clean after!

As for whitening i dont think it's done much of anything, teeth are marginally whiter after a brush but look the same as before after a few hours. Definitely not a miracle product for me! Wouldn't repurchase solely for how hot the mint is haha

I had high hopes for this when it first came out. I've had sensitive teeth since the end of 2013 and have been using Sensodyne ever since. With this product, my teeth felt uncomfortable when I first used it. I thought it needed getting used to but every time I used it, it was the same feeling! I used it for a few days then gave it to my husband (who does NOT have sensitive teeth btw), and went back to the original formulas.

A couple of my teeth are really sensitive while others are fine. Switched to this one from Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief as it was on special at the supermarket and because it's known as a good toothpaste brand for sensitive teeth. After about three days of use, my two sensitive teeth have become sensitive again, making it difficult to brush my teeth and rinsing my mouth. After using it for a few more days, my teeth were still sensitive but they weren't as sensitive as before I started using toothpaste targeted for sensitive teeth. So I guess Sensodyne does help with sensitive teeth to some degree, but I'm now switching back to Colgate

I found this toothpaste really nice on my teeth which are quite sensitive! It has a refreshing scent but I didn’t really notice any whitening happening, even after four months use. While I recommend for sensitive teeth, if you’re looking for a whitening toothpaste then I suggest looking elsewhere for the best results.

This was recommened to me by my dental hygienist as I have sensitive teeth and find after a visit with her ny sensitivity gets higher, Its on the higher side to purchase but I figured it must be good. The taste is ok and I was very happy to find it did really work . I don't buy any other toothpaste now and its nice to be able to indulge in a cold ice cream without cringing. However it has done nothing to whiten my teeth at all.

I only starting using this toothpaste the last few months (after having my baby). I have always had sensitive teeth and gums but since baby they have been much worse and following some dental work (fillings and clean etc) my teeth couldn't handle anything so I went and picked this up.

It is really expensive for a toothpaste but when your teeth are really fragile you'll do anything to stop it lol.

Its a normal sized tube of toothpaste, no special or strong odour. I have been using this twice a day for the last few months. The taste is pleasant nothing out of the ordinary.

It has definitely helped with my sensitivity it took about a week or two to really kick in but I don't find my teeth anywhere near as sensitive as they were.

In regard to the whitening I haven't noticed any significant changes but I have had my teeth scaled and cleaned so its quite hard to tell at this point.

I will continue to use this toothpaste for as long as I can

I go through fazes of sensitive teeth vs REALLY sensitive teeth. Normally the only issues I have is with biting into ice cream, but once drinking water from the tap becomes an act of pain I know I need Sensodyne. Sensodyne is one of those brands that I trust because I've seen that it actually works. And I figure that while I'm using Sensodyne I might as well try whiten my teeth at the same time. The taste takes a while to get used to because it's not the normal minty, but instead is more bitter, but I don't find it unpleasant.
