A'kin Daily Shine Conditioner

Pairing perfectly with the shampoo, this conditioner was very lovely. It promotes itself with saying shiney after 1 wash. I definitely felt It left my hair feeling smooth silky and very shiney (but mainly the shine was only on the top half of my hair).

I really liked that I loved how this product was 100% vegan, is dermatologically tested and has 100% recycled packaging, this made it very admirable. The bottle size is nice and generous and has an awesome pop top for the conditioner to come out nice and easy.

It has a beautiful scent, a few of my family members even commented saying how nice my hair smelt as it lasted long after being washed.

This product will definitely last me a while as it kept my hair clean and refreshed for longer than usual and only a small amount of conditioner was required.

Overall I really enjoyed trying this product, I would definitely recommend it.

Just like its shampoo counterpart the packaging of the A’Kin Daily shine conditioner is very plain and understated - nothing to stand out or grab a buyers attention if browsing the shelves. Although I must say it is a generous sized 375ml bottle.

I was surprised that the label did not highlight that it was vegan, as well sulphate & silicone free as that would be a big drawcard for purchase.

The conditioner itself was white and creamy, the smell was thankfully not as strong and intense as the Shampoo - a mild but pleasant musky / woody scent.

The bottle promises to increase shine after just one use and also promises smoother hair after one week - believe it!

Despite my initial doubts that a product can work after one use this product does deliver on its promise. I did not need to use any other products to smooth my hair before using my hair dryer and the end result was super shiny and soft hair both times.

I highly recommend using the A’Kin Daily Shine duo to anyone who loves natural alternatives or is seeking sleek and shiny hair.

I found A'kin Daily Shine Conditioner applied to my hair very nicely and also rinsed out no problems.

The level of aroma was perfect, not overpowering at all (not like the matching shampoo, which was very overpowering)

I have long, fine hair and really struggle to find a great conditioner. I did find my hair was left nice and smooth, it was not quite tangle free (which is usual for my hair).

I like that the bottle was tall and slim, which meant it took up less room in my shower., though once I had used part of the bottle, I did struggle squeezing the conditioner out of the bottle, as it is quite thick.

I think this is a nice conditioner, especially for its price point and considering A'kin is a cruelty free and ethical brand.

For reference, I have hair that is oily on the roots and dry on the ends. I apply this conditioner to my mid-lengths and ends and it works well. If you are prone to oily roots like me, I wouldn’t apply this conditioner any higher up than mid-lengths.

The conditioner is rich and easy to spread across your hair. A little goes a pretty long way.

I really like the smell of this product - it’s pleasant without being overwhelming and it doesn’t cling to your hair after you’ve washed it out which is my preference.

Overall, this conditioner made my hair feel pretty nourished. I can’t say I really noticed it making my hair more shiny, but maybe that comes with more use or is more applicable to people with dark hair (I’m blonde).

The A’kin Daily Conditioner is a gentle and nourishing conditioner made with Australian Jojoba Oil, Yerba Mate and Niacinamide and is fragranced with Geranium, Cedarwood and Patchouli. It is a great environmental choice as it is free of harsh chemicals, is sulphate and silicone free and has 100% recycled packaging. I really appreciate that it is dermatologically tested on humans and not on animals. My only gripe is that I don’t find the tall bottles particularly attractive or user friendly. I would rather a tube that I could take to the gym or when travelling. I’m very careful with hair products I use as my fine hair is very highlighted with a darker colour underneath. I regularly go to the gym and swim plus I use a blow drier and a straightener. I need a conditioner that is moisturising but not to the point of making my hair more oily or too heavy - a big ask in Auckland’s humidity coupled with sweat from the gym and chlorine from swimming. I am also aware that as I age my hair colour can appear more dull. After shampooing I apply the conditioner to my damp hair. It has a creamy texture and you don’t need much. I rub it into the ends where my hair needs the most hydration. I work the conditioner upwards towards the roots but stop midway keeping it off my roots so that they don’t become greasy. I shower and after 5 minutes give it a good rinse. My hair has no tangles; it combs easily and does not have a straw like feel. After drying it feels soft and full and wonder of wonders - the frizz is gone. It is super shiny and I am pleased that it hasn’t affected the darker colour in my hair by bringing out the red undertones. I really like this conditioner and find its lightweight, nourishing formula just right for my ageing colour treated hair.

I trialled this conditioner in conjunction with the A'kin shampoo. The conditioner is white in colour, quite thick and comes in the same tall, sleek bottle that the shampoo comes in. I like how nourishing the conditioner felt in hair. You don't need very much at all (I have long hair) as it works through the hair really well. My hair felt soft and nourished after using this conditioner. Would recommend and will be buying again!

I love trying out new conditioner so when I got an invite for this trial I was excited. It comes in a very generous size bottle with a pop up lid. I had a look and it is around the twenty dollar mark. I usually just buy supermarket conditioner so it's a bit more than I'd usually pay but if it is amazing I would definitely purchase myself.

It smells really nice, quite herbal. It reminds me of something but i can't think of what it is....it's a familiar smell. Consistency wise it is super duper thick which I love. However I have to unscrew the lid to get it out and bang the bottle upside otherwise it won't budge, so that is kinda annoying.

After using the matching shampoo I banged out a good amount and massaged it throughout my hair, I then let it sit for a good 5 minutes. It washed out easily and my hair felt smooth and tangle free.

Upon drying my hair looked OK However I was expecting it to be really soft and it just wasn't. I also didn't get any amazing shine. I've definitely had better results with a $5 shampoo and conditioner. Such a shame as I had high hopes for this. Not something I would purchase myself.

The bottle for this conditioner comes in a long skinny shape - which looks aesthetically pleasing but the plastic is kind of hard and makes it somewhat hard to squeeze out, so I have ended up storing it upside down.

The smell is divine - a lovely botanical scent. It is thick and creamy, applies well and doesn't weigh down my fine hair.

After using in conjunction with the matching shampoo - I am not sure it looks shinier yet, but it definitely feels softer and my hair is less frizzy.

I was asked to trial this conditioner as part of a shampoo/conditioner duo Not really a fan of the smell of the shampoo I wasn't a fan of the Smell of the conditioner either, but it was a nice thick consistency which I like, U always think thinner conditioners don't work as well. The only problem was it was so thick I had to really squeeze the bottle hard with two hands to get any out. This may be a problem for anyone with low strength in their hands, arthritis or anyone who can only use one hand or whatever personal reason. I left the conditioner on for your standard two minutes then rinsed well. The results were fabulous , I was able to slide a comb easily through my wet hair. It left my hair soft and manageable and toned down my frizz so well I have only used my hair straightener once since using this conditioner. Would I use it again? Yes, even though the smell isn't quite to my liking, and at $21.99 a bottle, it would be just me allowed to use it.

I love this conditioner. The scent - the feel of it upon application - and the finish it gives to my hair. My hair has never been so soft and shiny, without adding a whole load of products. The softness lasts for days also, so it feels like it's had the benefit of deep conditioning without the weighing down feeling that some conditioners can give.

I didn't love the shampoo, but the conditioner makes them a really good pairing and I'm sure aids to release the benefits of the shampoo.
