I absolutely love this cleanser! I can't get enough of the luxurious silk foam bubbling over my face as I clean it. This is actually my mums cleanser which I have been sneakily using (I can't afford shiseido), and after using this and getting seriously hooked to it I considered buying one for myself until I saw the price in the description above. I pretty much died at the price tag! Oh my gawd.
As you squeeze the bottle out comes a velvety smooth pearl white cream. I squeeze a tiny amount in my fingers then rub the cleanser together in my fingers to lather the product hen apply to my face I circular motions. The cream texture then becomes foam and it feels so smooth and silky on your face. You can really feel it cleaning your face and getting rid of all the dirt. But at the same time it's gentle enough so that it doesn't strip the natural oils off your face or leave my face dry and dehydrated. My face has never felt so smooth and soft after cleansing my face. It actually feels clean and refreshed, but not squeaky clean.
This cleanser comes in a ombré colour bottle, a smokey silver colour lunging down in a deep black. The kid is a screw top lid, whereas I usually prefer a flip lid for ease of use in the shower, however I didn't do much mind the screw lid. The bottle is really easy to squeeze. Be careful not to squeeze too hard though as you only need the teeny tiniest bit of product. And I mean a minuscule amount. I literally use a tiny dot, like less than half a pea. Even though this product is uber expensive, it will last you forever! I would say this tube would last me about a year at least with using it once a day.
I have oily skin, but at the moment in the winter my skin is pretty dry. I have found this cleanser to be still effective and really gentle on both my oily and dry skin. I would therefore say it is suitable for both skin types. As my mum also uses this cleanser I would also say that this cleanser is suitable for both young and mature skin too. I didn't actually like the smell to begin with. It smelt a tad chemically to me. But I actually don't notice that now and it hasn't put me off or stopped me using the product.
I would defiantly recommend this cleanser. The only thing putting me off buying one myself (I plan to use my mums as I'm sure she doesn't mind seeing as I only use a smidgen each time and you would hardly notice I'm using it) is the price. But if you can I would at least ask for a sample anyway.
You would think. logically, if a cleanser is over $100 it must be amazing. It must be incredible. If must be holy grail. You sound just like me, and let me tell you, you are wrong wrong wrong.
This was a cleanser i was gifted (thankfully) from a family friend who loves the brand and thought i would too. I was stoked. I cant afford shiseido so to receive it as a gift was awesome.
This cleanser is packaged simply, but it is classy. It comes in a soft plastic squeeze tube, with a smooth curved lid, and it has a black and grey ombre look to it, with gold writing. Simple, classy and elegant.
This cleanser is kind of like a cream in consistency, but i have to say, something about the smell reminds me of the Marzena hair removal stuff. Its probably just a personal comparison, but still worth mentioning. It may be because the product just smells quite soapy and artificial, im not sure.
A little of this stuff goes a long way, and yes it create a cleansing foam so the product meets its claims here. It removes most of my daily makeup really easily, so im happy about that. The one thing that i am hugely unhappy about is how stripped and squeaky clean my face feels after using this cleanser. Seriously, its feel so stripped, i cant even believe it, especially because it claims to retains skins moisture.
I wont lie, i dont use this on my face anymore because it is too harsh and drying for my skin. Instead im finishing the tube off by using it as a very very expensive body wash, and im just hoping this does not get brought for me again.
