This was one of the very first brushes i bought 6 years ago and even with being washed a lot, it still stands as a very good foundation brush on my vanity. With sigma you get what you pay for a brush that will last the distance, feels amazing on your skin and will do its job. This brush is the best first staple brush for anyone to have as it makes it easy to apply your foundation with, it glides across the face and is easy to handle and is easy to wash whilst still keeping its form. I have bought the cheap alternatives from eBay and whilst they are cheaper and good for while, the bristles do not feel as good as the ones on the sigma brushes and they wear and tear a lot faster.

I purchased this brush because I was desperate for something different and it's now my favourite way to apply my foundations that are really thin liquids. I have found that this brush is the best application method when I'm using the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless foundation which is extremely thin, it distributes this foundation evenly onto my skin without soaking up too much of the actual product. I find when I use this brush my foundation often takes slightly less time to blend and I'm not left with streaks of makeup, its also great for buffing foundation into the skin and helps to create a flawless look.
The only downside however is that this brush can be difficult to clean I find the easiest way is to soak it in Micellar water first and then wash with brush soap as this helps to dislodge foundation from the centre of the bristles
Tips: Soak in micellar water when cleaning for best results in super quick time
If I am not using a beauty blender I am using this brush to blend in my foundation,I dab the foundation in spots over my face, then blend and stipple the foundation over my face,it leaves your foundation looking flawless, the brush is so soft but dence enough to do the stipple motion,it has a black handle with silver trim,I have washed the brush many times, and it does not shed any bristles,I would recomend to others
Tips: Stipple foundation into the skin then blend out with the f80
I don't know what I was doing before I bought this brush, it makes my foundation go on so perfectly, I have no idea how I survived without it. It's super dense so it doesn't absorb excess product and it buffs the product into your skin so it's not just sitting on the surface looking cakey. So far it hasn't shed on me at all and I've washed it heaps. The quality of this brush is amazing and I can't recommend it enough!
Well who doesn't like this brush, its flat out a great tool for everyone, beginner to MUA. This was my first flat top and I still to this day love it but am currently going through the beauty blender phase. This brush is great for apply liquid and cream foundation even BB creams. This used to be my everyday foundation brush if you are going to use it on a daily basis make sure to regularly wash it as its so dense product builds up quickly, I used to wash mine every other day and I've never had an issue with the bristles shedding or the ferrule becoming loose. The bristles are really soft and dense which helps blend the product flawlessly into your skin not just leaving it sitting on the surface and making blending easier but don't get me wrong you still need to work to get a flawless finish. I personally think that this works its best with a dewy or satin finish foundation I just really don't like using a brush with matte foundation. This is a really sturdy brush the handle is quite thick which is great you can apply a bit more pressure without feeling the the handle will eventually give out. I've you've been on the fence as it is getting a bit pricey I see it a lot at around the $34 - $36 mark, I would invest in one I've had mine 2 years and its still going strong. Great product!
I love this brush with every being in my body, it is what revolutionised my foundation application and is why I have 2 backups that are in constant rotation.
How can a brush change your life! well easy, when you find that one brush that makes the very art of applying makeup fun, easy and gets the flawless effect every single time, then that is a brush that changes your life. This is what Sigma have done to me with their F80 flat kabuki brush.
Having 2 brushes in their normal silver barrel, and 1 in their copper barrel, all 3 of them have the same easy grip handle in a shiny black coat that is just the right length and girth to be comfortable to handle as you spot, swirl and blend liquid foundations into place on your skin. The bristles are tightly bounded to make a dense flat top that allows only the minimal amount of makeup to be sucked up into the brush so you don't waste any makeup, but yet keeps a softness that feels like velvet upon your face. After multiple washes (all 3 get at least 1 wash every week) these brushes show their quality with no loss of bristles, no loosen of compaction and when washed properly where you prevent water from entering the barrel, no movement of the bristles, retaining the shape of the brush head.
My F80 is a brush I rely on daily, to make my skin look like it does. Before I was using either my fingers or a sponge as the flat foundation brushes were forever leaving streaks, but my F80 never does.
This is my everyday foundation brush. I purchased it after reading many great reviews and it has not disappointed.
I use this brush to buff in any liquid foundation or BB cream. It is just the right size to be used on large flat areas as well as in little creases. The end result of 'buffing' in foundation with this brush looks truly airbrushed. The density of the bristles means makeup build up in the brush is minimal and you can get away with only washing once every 5 days or so (I used to wash my flat foundation brush daily). I have been using this brush for several months now and it hasn't shed yet which is always a sign of a good quality brush!
I. Freaking. Love. this brush!! It is absolutely AMAZING for applying foundation and blending out liquid and/or cream products on the face. My foundation never looks streaky, and this provides a much more natural (in my opinion) look than the traditional 'paint brush' type foundation brushes.
Tips: Spray with Fix+ before buffing in foundation to sheer out the product, and give a more dewy look. Buff/press rather than swipe for an even finish!
You don't even need to read this review, I'll sum it up in the first two lines. Go and buy this.
This was a item I had put in my cart time and time again, only to delete it at the last minute, or make up some sort of reason why I didn't need it. Spending so much money on a makeup brush just didn't make sense to me, even though I had heard good things about it.
So when I managed to find this in a sale, I jumped for joy and brought it straight away, and I can honestly say its one of my favourite beauty purchases from 2015. No joke (and i brought a lot of makeup last year)
So this brush comes with a a beautiful black handle which just seems to be the perfect length, and lets you control the brush with ease and precision. The bristles on this brush are so soft, and dense and packed tighly with a flat head. This combination is amazing because it means the brush doesnt abosrb to much makeup, aswell as the brush being gentle on skin, but dense enough to buff out foundation to perfection.
Can you tell how much I love this brush yet?
Literally, my foundation has never looked so good. I love this brush, and would repurchase it again in a heart beat. Truthfully, I'm already thinking about getting a back up so i will always have a clean one handy.
I have two flat top foundation brushes, a no-brand brush and this sigma one. There is very little difference between them honestly. I do prefer the sigma one more as it feels a bit nicer on the skin and is ever so slightly less streaky but the no brand was a lot cheaper. So take from that what you will ;)
Tips: I like to spray my setting spray on my brush before applying foundation (just a spritz) as I like to think it helps the foundation set nicely and helps blend.
