Tips: I find using a cotton pad to wipe around the eye are then rinse in warm water and go over again with the cotton pad
I used to use other supermarket bought make up removers, until I saw this on special in the pharmacy. I've had problems before with Nivea etc. as my eye area seems to be quite sensitive - I would get red rashes and scaly skin on my eyelids from using these other make up removers so something else was definitely needed. After I started using this make up remover I've had no problems at all with irritation of the skin around my eye even though I'm the type of person who rubs at their eye make up to remove it rather than using a more gentle technique.
This was on special for $9.99 when I purchased it, definitely a "get what you pay for" situation. While Simple was great for light make up, you needed to have a few goes and a good scrub to get off heavier make up especially eye liner and mascara. In saying that it is easy on my skin and didn't leave me feeling dried out. Definitely a great product for basic make up just perhaps not for big nights out.
So I went into K-mart on a friday night (in my slippers) to get something. I had no idea what this something was.... Hanging at K-mart on a friday.... And I overheard a lady talking about this my ears pricked up over comments like "easily removes eye liner" and "cheap and does a great job" she sold me.
First of all I liked that I didnt have to mix the too together (because while visually I like that about my eye make up removers it can be a pain if you forget to - hey it happens!). It was gentle on the eye and did remove make up.
However it took a few goes when I had "going out" make up on to remove it.
The packaging is very "simple" (funny that) and not as fancy as some of the others. But it was cheap and overall I was happy with the product for everyday removal. I will be going back to my old fav though just because when I wear more make up it took too many times to get it off.
Tips: Like most eye make up removers it works best with cotton balls. I put mine in a pretty jar which looks like clouds in a jar....... but then perhaps I am on my own tour ;)
I love this stuff, I do love the whole brand in general. It doesnt hurt/react with my face its very soft and caring for my face and removes all my makeup amazingly!
I have sensitive skin so of course I gravitated towards the Simple range. I bought the Eye makeup remover and cleansing wipes as well. After my first use of the eye makeup remover my skin felt tight and dry. The lids of my eyes turned red and my skin was even more sensitive. It didn't remove my mascara. I almost had to scrub my eyes with it. Not gentle at all. I thought maybe my skin just has to get use to the new stuff, the second use was it for me, it felt like my eyes were burning. It hurt to move them! And after all that hassle my mascara and liquid liner still didn't come off. I gave it away to a friend who uses Simple. And she says it's alright not that great.
Tips: Do a patch test on ur skin before using something on ur face ur unfamiliar with. Somewhere like the back of ur hand or behind the ear.
A few days ago my usual makeup remover ran out and after searching through three different stores for it, found they had stopped selling it altogether! I was forced to try something new so I decided to give this a go. This isn't a bad makeup remover, it does remove the majority of my eye makeup but it doesn't do quite as good a job as my old one. It doesn't quite remove the makeup that is close to my lash line. However what I like about this makeup remover is that it did not irritate my eyes which is great for me because my eyes are SUPER sensitive! Also it doesn't leave a greasy residue which I like. I will continue to use up my little bottle but I will not be repurchasing.
i really did not like this! its smudged my eye makeup everywere!!!!!!! i dont know if its just me but it stung my eyes and they were red and puffy the next day. i really wouldnt recommend this to my friends/family
This is one of my favourite eye make up removers for the price. But unfortunately it doesnt do a great job at getting off my waterproof mascara (which I hardly use anyway) but it seems to get everything else off nicely. My favourite thing about it is that it doesnt sting my eyes at all. Its a good eye makeup remover if you dont have heavy eye makeup
Tips: Use to remove light eye makeup
I love this product I use it every night it works so well had it never hurts as I have very sensitive eyes it is great
Tips: I use this all on my eyes, lips and face it is amazing!!!
