This Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is my daily go-to and a super quick and easy product to use! Always leaves my skin feeling clean and free of build-up from the day without drying my skin
Tips: Pair with a reusable cotton pad to reduce waste
Easy and fast after a night out or daily makeup use, better for your skin than just using water and is helpful for removing eyeliner or mascara which can be a pain to wipe off without it smudging everywhere. Good price for product
Tips: I find it easiest to rinse face with water first then use with a cotton pad then rinse with water again
Works amazing my face feels so fresh and clean after taking my makeup off with it or using it in the morning to get anything dirt off my skin. Smells amazing so simple to use just apply to a cotton pad and wipe face with it and you feel so clean and fresh.
Tips: You can use this to clean you makeup brushes aswell you can use this to clean your mascara brush if it's got any dry mascara on it. Just let it soak in some of the micellar water and all that clumping mascara is washed off and it's like new.
This cleansing water is the only one I use to take off my make-up and especially my mascara. What is even better you do not need to use water as with other make up removers.
Tips: It depends on how thick your eye make and mascara is then I would suggest using more of it to take off more stubborn make up.
I have used several different brands of micellar water since the product was first launched on the market (and that includes Garnier’s variations on their original micellar water) and this is the one that I keep coming back to.
The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water comes in a 400ml clear plastic bottle with a pink flip top lid. The water itself is clear. On the bottle the label states that it is for “Normal to sensitive skin”. It also says that it is fragrance free, and that it has been “dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested”. The directions say to use it on the eyes, lips, and face, and that it does not need to be rinsed off.
I have used this micellar water on and off for the past few years. I apply the product to a cotton pad, which is how the bottle’s instructions say to use it. I then use the cotton pad to remove the makeup from my face. The small opening in the bottle’s flip top lid makes it easy to control how much product you are pouring out. The remover looks clear on the cotton pad, and it has no scent. As a makeup remover I have found that this effectively removes all makeup including, eye shadow, eyeliner, foundation, and lipstick, bar the most stubborn of matte lipsticks, which require an oil to remove.
Altogether I have found this to be one of the most effective and most affordable micellar waters on the market. It does not irritate my eyes, which some other micellar waters have done, and it removes nearly all makeup except for the most stubborn waterproof ones. It also lasts a long time. The 400ml bottle takes a lone time to get through, even if you are removing makeup on most days of the week! This has become my go-to micellar water, and I will keep on purchasing this product.
I've tried other brands of micellar makeup remover and this is by far the best in value. I pour about 3 squirts on one end of a makeup remover towel (I use the Manicare Reusable remover towel) with the eyes as this is the heaviest part of my make up, pat down for at least 2 seconds on the eye before wiping out. Then I rinse the towel, and do the rest of my face, and then finally a last one to remove lipstick. The micellar water itself is not strong enough to remove the make up in one go, especially if use a long-wear one like what I use.
Tips: If you don't have a make up brush/sponge cleaner, you can also use the micellar water to clean it! Bear in mind though that it needs a lot of this liquid to clean it effectively.
My skin never feels completely clean after using this. It does not remove all the makeup on my face. I usually have to use a cleanser afterwards to remove any excess makeup that is left on my face. However, it is still handy to have when travelling when there it little access to water
I find Micellar Cleansing Water is great for those days when you wear light makeup, and don't have the time or energy for a full nighttime skin routine. I prefer to use it with the Garnier reusable pads, and find I can get most mascara and foundation off - however medium wear products might need a few attempts. Gentle on my skin, and doesn't dry my skin out.
Tips: Great to use with Garnier reusable pads!
I have tried lots of different products to remove makeup and this is the one I highly recommend! It's really amazing! I usually wash my face with water first then soak cotton balls with this micellar water and press it to my skin for a few seconds on my eyes to remove stubborn mascara and eyeliner. Works every time!
