This ultrabalm is so affordable and I use it for just about everything. From the kids scrapes and scratches to my dry skin on my elbows. I also pop a bit on my lips which is gtreat. I have recommended this to many people and they have enjoyed it as well.

Lush Ultrabalm
LUSH Ultrabalm is bringing petroleum-free lubrication to the nation.
This moisturising balm is made with plant waxes and nothing else. No petroleum jelly, no mineral oils, just natural goodness.
Our mix of candelilla wax and jojoba oil is a vegan alternative to beeswax; it creates a protective barrier on the skin and locks in moisture, while rose wax soothes irritations.
You can apply the balm to scuffs and scrapes to relieve discomfort, use it as a barrier cream when applying henna, or even use it as a lip balm. There's nothing crude about our lube.
Ultrabalm is also perfect for babies to relieve nappy rash and hydrate dry skin.

This was a product i received as part of a gift pack from Lush. Honestly, it wasn't something that really appealed to me, but i was grateful to get it all the same.
I have this in the mini size, as-well as the normal tin. Both are packaged in the exact same way, just in different size scales, but i'll base the review on the normal size one so it doesn't get confusing. This balm comes in a tin, which might sound heavy, but the packaging itself is really light-weight. It has a screw top lid, which works really well for this balm based product.
The ultra balm is a yellowish colour, and is exactly what it says it is. A balm. It sort of has a vaseline texture, but less sticky, which is nice. I notice a slight smell, which i really like because it smells familiar to me. I can't place my finger on what it smells like but nothing too intense.
This balm feels really nice to use. The consistency is smooth, and it almost ... melts into your skin! I love how it feels when applying it, and find i can find a good range of uses for it from lip balm, to moisturizing the heels on my feet. However, its not as multi-purposeful as one might think. I thought it might help as a barrier for my partners dry hands, but it didnt do him much good.
Overall, a good balm, but nothing.. special! And although il keep the mini one in my handbag just-in case, i probably don't use this product enough to repurchase it.
This is a great product, multiuse and very moisturising! Many different uses and for the cost it is great.
Tips: Use this for all skin, a little goes a long way.
I love lush... so this was a big disappointment for me. I have had a few of their bath products and love the lip scrub so when I invested in the ultra balm I was so un-impressed. It feels nice on the skin and glides on nicely but I just don't feel that it moisturises anything. I have tried lucas paw paw and trilogy everything balm and this doesn't even compare. I tried on my sons nappy rash, and nothing I tried as a barrier cream... that too was a no, a lip balm.. no, doesn't seem to do anything at all. But maybe someone else may have had a better experience. Overall, I wouldn't waste my money!
This has become my go-to for softening up and repairing skin. I have used it on my lips, the heels of my feet, dryness on my fingers after damage from cleaning chemicals from my job and has the same kind of texture as Blistex, but without the nastiness. It's great. Would totally recommend.
Tips: Slather over your dry heels and rest your feet up while it dries to sooth and save dry feet. Or use as a lip balm when they are dry or suffering through the harsh wind and dry days. Even use it on dry elbows!
This is a really nice lipbalm and spot moisuriser. I love keeping it in my bag and just popping it on any areas that need some more hydration. I love that it's a generous size and you only need a tiny bit as it's so hydrating. I can't describe the smell really as it's so unoffensive and light. It's really nice!
Tips: A little bit goes a long way!
This is a pretty decent moisturiser (I use it as a lip balm as well). I love how effective it is in fixing the dry, flaky but sensitive skin around the corners of my mouth. It works as a moisturiser elsewhere on the body as well!
This is also a pretty decent amount of product for the price compared to other Lush products and thumbs up for 100% natural
Tips: Apply a layer of Ultrabalm over your elbows right before you sleep for softer elbows in the morning!
For me it works as the same as Lucas pawpaw ointment and Vaseline petroleum jelly, but higher price.
What i like about it is it contain jojoba oil, which is supposed to be close to your natural oil so that it reduces the produce of oil, doesnt clock pores (which may happens if you use the heavy petroleum).
For now i use it as a lip balm only, its melt quite easy after some glides from your finger.
Although i think the tin is a bit un-hygienic, it always feel cool when pulling out a cute Lush tint from the bag, instead of the plastic Vaseline tint.
I purchased this as an animal testing free alternative to paw paw ointment, which is known to be the healer of all things. At the store, the lady told me that this too, was known as the healer of all things. However I realised upon using this, and dealing labels etc. that this is not the case, and it's really just a moisturising like balm.
The first thing I noticed, was that it is much bigger than I expected. Lush usually has really expensive products with little content, but this one was different.
It comes in a nice sturdy screw top aluminium tin, filled with the potion. The smell is really nice, one of my favourite smells from lush products, it reminds me of a middle eastern dessert, although I can't put my finger on which one! It also smells like those kewpie plastic dolls I had when I was little. I loved the sweet smelling plastic they were made from and the scent of this sort of reminds me of that as well. Either way it is delicious.!
It's a soft consistency, that melts almost instantly with the touch of you fingers, and spreads really easily as well. I do find that while you do spread it, it does leave a bit of residue on the fingers.
It does a really good job of softening the skin, although you don't get the result right away. When I put it on, it just feels like an oily film on my skin, however 24 hours later, I am amazed by how soft my skin is! It really is amazing.
While it's not necessarily like the pawpaw ointment, in terms of helping heal/remove scars, I found that this kind of did that. I've had the same scar on my thigh from when i accidently cut myself 6 months or so ago. After one application of this, the redness is significantly reduced!
Tips: Buy two of these things, and have one in your handbag at all times.
I got this in the 45g tin for $11.50. I had heard many good things from dedicated Lush lovers who I know and trust so had to try this for myself. The tine is comes in is very lightweight and has a screw top lid which in my mind would keep the balm fresher and away from any nasties. I have something similar from an age old company Rawleighs and have found theirs to be about as good as you can get so wanted to put this to the test against it.
The tin itself isn't terribly big but then it lasts for so long you don't need a huge one. The consistency is smooth and spreads effortlessly on my skin. It had a melting effect when it touches and warms to your skin. I use this on my lips as a lip balm, on my nail cuticles because I feed calves on our farm. The calves suck on your fingers and of course my fingers dry out so this does wonders. I also have sensitive scalp which means I get itchy on one spot of my head and scratch it till it bleeds so this rubbed in to it helps heal it and it actually prevents me from itching.
I wouldn't say it's as fantabulous as they make our but it definitely has its uses for me. It has saved my fingers and my scalp so I am a happy chappy. For a mere $11.50 I would be happy to have this on hand at all times. It has even come in handy for my son when he falls over and skins his knees. He loves the smell and he feels as if it's a magic cream to help him feel better. If he believes then so do I!
Tips: Use it as a cuticle balm. It helps dry withered farm or worker type fingers keep moisturized.
