SugarBaby Glow Your Own Way Micro-Needle Facial Roller

Have loved trialling the Glow Baby micro needling roller. I was a little nervous at first (who wouldn’t be rolling needles over your face!) but it’s a really nice end to my skin care routine. It’s really easy to use, I teamed it with my nightly serum and was left with a glowy complexion. I really think this works! The lines on my forehead seem to have visibly reduced, and my skin feels smoother. I must admit, I did feel like the branding was maybe something that I wouldn’t have picked if I’d seen it in a shop, it maybe would appeal to someone a little younger than myself. I also think it would be great if you got a small alcohol/sanitiser spray with the product so that you can clean it a few times.

I don't really know where to start with this and maybe if I keep using it I'll change my mind but here goes.

This is the biggest gimmick I've ever come across.

Does it do what it says it will? Considering the spiel says its magic, ingenious and transforming to rid my face of fine lines, uneven skins tones and other age related imperfections then I have to say NO.

Does it feel cool? Yes. Is it weird laying in bed running some tiny, prickly needle thing over my face? Yes. Did my boyfriend want a go and like the feel? Also yes (not recommended according to the instructions).

While packaged prettily, its very light and slightly rattly leaving me with the impression its cheaply made.

2/5 lips for using again in the hopes that if I add a third week of trialling I will see a difference. I wouldn't recommend to anyone but you don't know until you try so go spend that $33 if you have literally nothing better to spend your money on. But I'd suggest a local charity first.

The microneedle facial roller comes in a sturdy plastic storage box which is great for keeping it clean between uses.

It doesn't look that spiky but start rolling it over your skin and the tingle hurts. Definitely not painful but you do feel the spikes as you roll over your face.

After use you can feel your skin reacting to the roller in a positive way.

I don't think a week was long enough to notice huge differences but it was long enough to know I want to keep trying it as the tingle was enough for me to almost feel my skin rejuvenate

A must add to your beauty routine

I'd never tried a micro-needle facial roller, but wanted too! If you love serums and all the goodness with them, then the SugarBaby Glow is the amplifier to your beauty routine! I'm obsessed and it's been a bit over a week!

The packaging is awesome. The roller has a little container to keep it in after use/cleaning. It's light weight and easy to use. The design definitely encourages the light touch the instructions recommend.

First use - definitely an odd experience. the needles you feel, but it's not sore. Definitely follow instructions with the roller. No pressure, just light rolling. I used this only at night and alternated with my retinol serum and vitamin c serum.

The results were amazing compared to just using the serums on their own. My skin very plump and hydrated in the morning, so much so I haven't worn makeup this weekend. The deeper wrinkles not much change but I don't think a week is long enough to judge on that one.

I couldn't not have this roller in my routine. It's definitely made my serum's work better and best of all my skin look better, if not amazing. Sooooo Happy!!

I have been using this roller every three days as directed and as instructed have been rolling each direction up to five times on all the recommended areas. My routine consisted of cleansing, patting dry and applying serum and then immediately used the roller, resisting the temptation to press in and just letting the weight of the roller be the guide. I am glad that I didn’t press it in as the gentle rolling method recommended on the box was just enough to puncture the skin allowing it to absorb the serum and then the night cream. Even so my skin did slightly redden and tingle a bit for about 30 minutes - alerting me to the fact that I had used it correctly and also realising why the under eye area is off limits ! Already my skin is starting to feel well nourished and tighter, and some of the finer wrinkles are looking hydrated and less obvious, plus a welcome glow that I haven’t seen for a while. So, would I recommend it to a friend - yes I would as even though its early days I can see a very welcome improvement and more to follow.

At first I was a bit intimidated by this, I was worried that I would push too hard on my skin or not hard enough etc... but my worries were unfounded. It's absolutely fantastic to use. I have big pores on either side of my nose which have always been a problem for me and I have notice a huge change in that area which I'm so happy about it. The difference is very noticeable, especially under foundation. My skin is usually very combination but now it's taken on a lovely... for lack of a better word... youthfull complexion. My skin looks and feels so much more healthy and full of life. I couldn't have asked for a better result. Cleaning the roller is so easy, I just use a bit of alcohol and let it dry. The handle is a great design and easy to hold which makes using it very simple. I didn't think this would do anything but I was proven wrong which I'm so glad about.

I am loving this dermal roller! The sleek silver design is very chic. The potential benefits of dermal rolling are immense and I'm excited to see if I will get the great results too. I have used this roller twice and it's super easy. After rolling in a criss cross fashion by skin was red and inflamed - I was crossing y fingers that it would not be the case in the morning! Luckily, redness had passed and I was good to go! I am yet to see any real difference to my skin so will continue to use twice a week and see what happens in a few months time.

I'll admit to being a little scared by this tool when I first took it out of its pretty pink and white box. Needles! Eek! And the fact they're visibly tiny sharp needles on a roller head didn't exactly soothe those fears either. But there was only one way to find out just how it would feel, and I was keen to try it for the benefits it is said to have. Softened lines, correcting uneven skin tone and enlarged pores - I'm here for it!

The roller is presented in a really cool clear case that helps keep the needles sharp as the head is elevated, with the case providing protection from germs once cleaned, which is crucial for anything that pierces the skin.

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, stressing the point to allow the roller to roll over your skin without any downward pressure, side-to-side, up and down, before finally diagonally over each section. Much to my relief and enjoyment, I found the sensation really pleasant. My skin felt refreshed straight after, and in the following week, my skin tone looked more dewy and freshened. I'm not sure if it's helped soften the fine lines yet, but I'm very keen to keep using it as it feels like it reaches deep into those problem areas.

It is advised to be used up to x3 times a week, so I used it every second day, and I found myself looking forward to my micro-needle days.

Thank you for choosing me to trial this roller, BR team. I would have been too scared to buy it myself, but I love it and am a convert. I would absolutely recommend this simple and easy tool to anyone wanting something a little more intensive to revive their complexion.

So I’ve only been able to use this 3 times in the review period due to courier delays (thanks covid!) but I found after rolling my skin my serum absorbed easier, moisturiser went on smoothly and while I got some tingling “pain” it wasn’t uncomfortable. My skin was red post using it but that was gone by morning. I’m intrigued to see results over a longer period of time. I will definitely continue to use as I’ve seen excellent results on other people from using these and excited to see what it does.

I have tried a micro-needle roller in the past and quite liked it so I expected the SugarBaby roller to be the same. Firstly, the packaging is simple but eye-catching with the holo writing on the box - I can't resist cute packaging. When opening the box I was pleased to see the roller was sitting is a plastic storage case which was then hygienically packaged in a sterile pack. When using the Micro-needle roller I found that it stung slightly which I haven't experienced with rollers in the past, however it wasn't a super painful sting, more a bit of a tingle or prickly feeling. I also found that my skin tingled for a good 10-15 minutes after using it, but it wasn't overly uncomfortable and I had no redness from it. I really like that I could see and feel results straight away. My skin instantly looked smoother and more plump, and it felt so soft and smooth. Even better, my skin still felt smooth the next morning. The instructions on the packaging are easy to understand and follow, making the roller simple to get the hang of quickly. The SugarBaby facial roller is cheaper than other brands, which would probably make me want to repurchase this instead of the previous brand I've used, as they are very comparable to each other in terms of results and ease of use. It would be good if SugarBaby stated on the packaging how long you should use the facial roller for before you replace it, as I know facial rollers usually tend to have a lifespan of a few months before they no longer work as they should. I couldn't find anything on their website to give an indication of this either. Overall, I quite liked the SugarBaby Micro-needle facial roller and I would use it again in the future. I was happy with the instant results of soft, smooth skin,. The only downfall I would say is that if you have a low pain tolerance or can't handle prickly sensations then this may not be the tool for you, but it is to be expected when using small needles on your skin.
