SugarBaby Glow Your Own Way Micro-Needle Facial Roller

I hate needles, so the idea of me rolling needles across my face was a little daunting! It took a bit of courage to actually take it out of the box to try, but I did it and I don't hate it. Opening the box, I see the micro-needle roller in its protective case and enclosed in a sterile wrap. It took a bit of fumbling to open the plastic protective case, trying be careful not to drop it! I think a hinged lid may be better than this one which comes right off. The silver handle looks nice and although it looks metal, it is actually plastic which makes it nice and light but I'm not sure how long it would last. Following the instructions, I tried the micro-needle facial roller on 1 side of my face so I could see the difference. There was no pain as such, more of a light cat scratch sort of feeling. Afterwards, my face had a mild burning sensation for a while before falling asleep. Overall, I have seen a reduction in fine lines and my skin tone has improved on the side I have been using it on. As good as it is, I don't look forward to the burning sensation after using it so I'm not sure how long I will keep it up if at all.

…not going to lie, the name of this just automatically got Fleetwood Mac stuck in my head! So starting off on that good note:

What I loved: the packaging! An embossed matte box felt really lux and something a little special. This roller comes in its own clear storage case and it was sealed - especially in this current climate and as this product contains (tiny) needles, it felt sterile and safe to use from the get go.

The product: honestly I can’t say whether it has done much for my skin - but that’s not to say it’s bad. Rather, I expect this is more of a long-term skincare routine situation to see noticeable results. It didn’t hurt to use at all and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin so far. So that’s a win in my book!

Will I keep using it? Sure - it hasn’t had any negative effect. However I will likely use it more on my hair than skin - I had read somewhere that rollers like this can help stimulate hair growth. So dual purpose makes this even better!

I was definitely very excited to try the mirco-needle facial roller and it was an interesting experience. This instructions say to just lightly roll it over the skin without too much pressure - this is barely felt at all and almost has that feeling of something that would make your face itchy, so don't worry if you think it'll hurt. For the amount of time that I've used this product, I don't know if I'd say I've noticed a huge difference in my skin, it does look a bit clearer, but I think the fine lines have not improved. However, I do have high hopes that the fine lines will start to disappear and I have that faith from the way my skin feels the next morning after using the micro-needle roller. My skin feels soft and so much plumper, this happened just after the first use and continues to happen, which is why I'll continue to use this product as I love the way my skin feels afterwards. I do recommend it, and it's worth trying.

If I'm being honest, I was a bit scared at first because derma rolling sounded daunting but after reading the instructions and watching a few videos I gave it a shot.

In the time I've had to test it I've used it 3 times, this is to stop overuse and damaging your skin.

I cleansed and used a night cream before my first rolling. It felt like the cream did penetrate deeper. The next day my face was noticeably hydrated all day with a subtle dewiness. I couldn't help feeling my face, it was so smooth.

The second time, I added an essano collagen boost serum before rolling.

The third time I included the combination of the serum and my night cream into the routine. Serum before rolling, night cream after.

I think this is actually an amazing thing to do once in a while, I'm converted. I feel like my skin texture has improved. You will probably need more than 3 goes before any drastic improvements to wrinkles or skin tone. I hope it will eventually reduce my sun spots.

Totally love how it makes me face feel, I feel blessed to have been able to trial this product! Skin care products just melt into my skin and I’m sure they penetrate deeper than when used on its own. The texture of my skin has improved – it feels firmer and looks healthier. I’ve been getting comments that I look younger – the best compliment a women in her 40s can wish for! I'm going to get this tool as gifts for my girlfriends - it's so affordable!

The roller comes in a plastic case, which is ideal, keeping it clean and sterile. I poured the alcohol to clean into the dip where the roller head sits and cleaned it in the case. I have found my skin glowing, tighter more youthful after using this micro-needle roller. My age spots may have slightly changed but not as obvious as the smooth texture, which was straight away. After cleaning my face at night I put my HA serum on and rolled vertically then horizontally afterwards on an angle, going over lines and wrinkles more intensely. My face instantly looks and feels tighter. It does go red/pink so good to do when you are just going bed or at home for the evening. It does sting a little, good to not put too much pressure on, just let it roll. I put serum on afterwards as well as before, my skin soaks up the serum. Then put night cream afterwards once my skin settles down a bit. My husband has noticed that my skin looks tighter after using the roller. I’m really pleased with the results so far.

Packing is nice and like how the micro roller comes all sealed in a clear container which protects the small needles from damage. After cleansing I apply my serum then roll the roller lightly over my face horizontally and vertically 4 to 5 times. You can feel the small needles on your skin but it doesn't hurt at all remembering to just hold lightly. Afterwards my face had a nice tingly sensation all over and skin does feel fresh. Personally I haven't noticed too much difference but think with longer use I will. Easy to clean and keep in the case.

What an ingenious idea for a facial tool. And so simple to use!

I felt very grateful to have the opportunity to trial this product. The idea very much appealed to me. The product comes in a box with cute pink branding, and I like the plastic cover that the tool comes in that keeps it clean and safe, and that it is able to be returned there after each use.

I have been following the instructions and using the roller after cleansing and using my night oil, rolling it over sections of my skin as recommended. It has taken a few times of using it, but I feel like I am starting to see an improvement in my uneven skin tone. My skin is also starting to lose some of it's dullness. I am very encouraged by the improvement and hope with longer term use I can come back and report ongoing improvement. So far I think it is a very good little tool, good quality, economical, easy to use, and does what it says it will do, which is to send uneven skin tone and aging imperfections packing. It is early days as I have only used it 3 - 4 times to date, but I am expecting even better results with more use and will happily update my review in another month or so, hopefully using the words 'miracle' and 'magic' as outlined in the product claim.

In the meantime though, I do recommend trying it as my results so far have been very good..
