The Garnier Green Labs Pinea-C Gel cleanser was a pleasant surprise for me, it was gentle on my skin and left my skin feeling fresh and hydrated unlike other cleansers which have left my skin feeling dry. The cleansing gel was effective at removing make up and general day to day build up from my face and left my skin feeling refreshed. I have been using this in combination with the Garnier serum and I can visibly see a difference in my overall skin appearance in just one week.

Tips: Use the Garnier cleansing gel in combination with Garnier serum for best results.
I really wanted to like this, it promised to be so good!
Not a fan of this one.
Firstly, the packaging was nice and I quite liked the tiny spout as it let me really control the amount I wanted. The whole package is quite large though.
I liked the texture initially but it did lather too much for my liking. The smell was very overpowering and will be too much for many I think. It didn't totally remove my makeup and needed to double cleanse to remove everything.
I also felt like it left my skin too dry and tight and I really needed to moisturize after.
I wouldn't buy this again and probably will gift it away to someone who isn't sensitive.
Tips: If you have drier skin, this is best avoided.
You don't need a huge amount.
Thanks so much beauty review for giving me the opportunity to review this cleanser. I have been using this every night in the shower since I got it. I love a good gel cleanser and this is definitely in my top favourites. It’s gentle, light weight when applied, leaves you feeling fresh and clean. The scent is also pleasant which is a must, who wants to put something on their face they don’t like the smell of right? I’d highly recommend this product! It’s affordable and beautiful.
Tips: Only use a small amount . A little goes a long way!
The smell of this cleanser is frankly way too strong (although I am very sensitive to smells so YMMV). To me it has a strong chemical smell with hints of pineapple. However it does work well as a cleanser and removes makeup with no issue. It also had no adverse effect on my sensitive skin, though I would refrain from using it more than once a day at most. I don't know how effective the vitamin C and pineapple extract would be in a cleanser since it only contacts the skin for a minute or so before being washed away, but they are still nice additions. Overall I would recommend if strong smells aren't an issue
Tips: Avoid if sensitive to strong smells
I only wash my face with a cleansing product at night, morning I prefer just to use warm water which works out well for my skin. After three days I found this cleanser to be a bit drying on my skin so I switched to using every second night and found that to be a great balance; soft glowing skin without any irritation or dryness. Sometimes simple packaging is the best, that’s what Garnier have stuck to for their Green Labs Pinea-C gel cleanser. The tube is easy to grab with wet hands, the cap has a somewhat small hole meaning I’m not accidentally squeezing out giant globs of product I’ll easily be able to get the last dregs out. I love the consistency, it almost has a lubricating slip to it which makes it feel like I’m gently rubbing silk onto my skin, I can’t think of any cleansing products I’ve used with a similar feeling! I do wish the scent was either absent or just toned down a bit. It is kind of sweet and fruity with a chemically undertone which I find to be a bit much, however, I do really like the cleanser and the scent hasn’t caused any irritation so I would repurchase as is.
I picked up the Garnier Green Labs Pinea-C Gel Cleanser from the Beauty Vault when I needed a new cleanser. It's in a plastic tube made of 20% recycled materials with has proven itself not to leak in my gym bag and squeezes the required amount of product out nicely.
The fruity smell always gives me a lift in the morning when I use it and it seems to do the cleansing job really well without leaving my skin feeling dry or stripped of oil. I have uneven skin tone and am using a number of products which claim to address this without seeing massive improvements, but it does leave me looking a bit glowy and brighter!
Garnier are doing some great stuff - this cleanser contains no sulfates, microbeads, parabens, or dyes, is cruelty free, dermatologist tested and impacts on the planet have been considered and reduced.
I have been using this product for Just under a week now and overall it’s a really nice cleaner to use. However, after only a week I have not noticed any change to my skin. My skin does appear to be brighter or less dull. So I will need to continue to use this product to see if I can see long term results.
My skin: I have combination oily skin, with redness and acne scars that I would like to brighten and reduce the appearance of. I was excited to try these products as they contain vitamin c which is good for brightening pigmentation.
Cleanser: this cleanser was a gel texture, on the thinner side. I could definitely smell the pineapple in this product. The product foams up well and feels quite gentle on your skin. The bottle was easy to squeeze and get the desired amount of product out. I also have sensitive skin and found tim his to be quite gentle. It didn’t leave my skin feeling right afterwards. My skin felt soft and smooth afterwards, similar feeling to my normal cream cleanser. However as mentioned I have not noticed a difference to the appearance in my skin yet.
I also like that is product is really affordable. It’s also vegan!
I will continue to use this product to see if my skin brightens over time
Loved the packaging on this product. It definitely looks like a premium product, and i would pay more for it. It foams really nicely and doesnt have an overpowering scent like some cleansers. I am not sure about the brightening effect, as I feel like this product would need to be used for a month plus to see the effects of a brightening cleanser. I used this morning and night and felt like my skin was squeaky clean afterwards! It removed my makeup seamlessly.
I was interested to trial this cleanser- not only is it paraben and sulfate free, but it’s made with pineapple extract and vitamin C!
I love that the packaging is 100% made from recycled plastic. The squeeze style bottle was clear, green and white. The lid clicked open/close easily and there was a small opening where the cleaner came out of. The consistency of the cleanser is quite runny, so I thought the inside of the lid might get messy or that it would come out too quickly, however because the opening is really small, it really only comes out when the tube is squeezed! It wasn’t messy at all and really easy to control how much product came out.
The cleanser itself is a very light green/almost clear gel. It was really smooth and lathered a little bit when on the skin. It was really easy to massage into my face and was quite creamy when it lathered, very easy to work in. It smelt sort of sweet (like the pineapple ingredients) and wasn’t too strong. I wouldn’t say it was a ‘nice’ smell, however I didn’t hate it and didn’t mind it.
My skin is dry and sensitive with some uneven skin tone. This cleanser was absolutely fine with my sensitive skin- no reaction at all! My skin didn’t feel tight or stripped or dried out after use as well, which is definitely something I look for in a cleanser. My skin did feel clean after using it. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in my skin, (in terms of brightness or dullness as it claims to help improve) perhaps it is a bit brighter- it’s really hard to tell! More time will tell, as a week may not be long enough to tell a true difference.
Overall, I did like this cleanser! It felt really nice to use on my face and worked well with my sensitive and dry skin type. I will continue to use it over time and see if the brightness and skin tone does improve.
Tips: This cleaner worked with my dry and sensitive skin!
A summary in one line: It isn't bad, but it didn't do anything good either.
What I liked: 1. A gel formula - this is the first gel cleanser I have used and it was great that it didn't dry my skin out! 2. The scent was really summer-y - this is a double-edged sword but it was a really feminine, summer scent 3. Removed makeup to an acceptable level - there was still some residue but for the most part it did a pretty good job!
What I didn't like: 1. The scent - I told you, double-edged sword - It was quite overpowering and quite artificial smelling 2. It didn't really do anything - although it didn't negatively impact my sensitive skin, it didn't really do anything positive for it; it didn't feel any better, look any better, etc.
Overall, I wouldn't buy it again - but I won't be throwing out the product either. It did the cleanser basics for me, but I would prefer to put that money towards something else that worked for me a bit better.
Tips: For fragrance-sensitive people, stay away! I found the scent quite overpowering - and I quite like a fragranced product!
