This moisturizer does not blend in very well and it feels so greasy! I still have it and I got it for xmas a couple of years ago that's how bad it is..Still, this is my own experience and I must admit that my skin prefers gels. Anyway I hope this helps...

Love Trilogy products and this is one of my favourites. Its almost like a gel/cream its not to thick and not to runny. It is expensive but it is worth it.
The thing I love most about the BRBB is the fact that skincare is a big yes, and I was more than delighted to see this in the box. I wouldn't spend $50 on a moisturizer, I barely spend that much on clothes. So 'delighted' doesn't even begin to cover my happiness.
The tube is gorgeous. Bigger than I expected a Trilogy item to be. The lid is gorgeous - it looks like cool metal, and feels a bit like it too. It's a gorgeous silver and a twist top. The product itself is a gorgeous creamy white, and as with a lot of Trilogy products it has a strong scent of roses.
I don't mind the rose smell, but it is a little overpowering sometimes. I squeeze a pea sized amount out and rub it all over my face. It's so gorgeous and creamy! I rub it in over rose hip oil, as well. I find though that I need to use more or a different moisturizer on top, as this one sinks in, but it sinks in too much that my skin feels dry again. Maybe it's a mindset thing, but I personally don't like having to use more product when this one states it provides hydration, and for the price you would think it would do as it says.
I haven't seen any improvement in my skin, but I haven't broken out in rashes either, so that's a big fat plus. It also absorbs really well, which I thought was good as I could get on with my makeup quicker. I have since passed it on to my mum as I have far too many, but it really was a nice moisturizer. If it weren't $50 I would repurchase gladly, just for the smell alone!
Trilogy's Vital Moisturising Cream is absolutely divine. This was definitely the best score in the March Beauty Box. It has a delicious warm rose/orange scent that I really love and is a real delight to put on in the morning. And anything that makes my mornings more pleasant is a winner in my books!
It has a rich thick creamy consistency, but not too heavy. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and moisturised, without feeling like it is too oily or that it is clogging my pores. Too early to tell if it helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but that is not my main reason for using a moisturiser.
I would love to buy this again if it wasn't so expensive. I will keep an eye out for specials though.
This stuff is unreal, I was lucky enough to receive it in the March Beauty Box and it has become my holy grail product ever since. I suffer from very dry, sensitive skin which gets a lot of eczema break outs. It is always a struggle for me to find facial products that wont sting or aggravate my delicate skin. Prior to discovering this cream every time I would get really bad eczema on my face the only thing that could treat it was steroid based ointments from the doctor. I no longer need these ointments as this simple moisturizer heals my skin beautifully.
This is a very hydrating moisturizer with a lovely soft rose scent. It is NZ made, organic and natural. This is the best cream I have ever used in my life! No matter how badly inflamed or broken my skin is this cream never stings and will heal every skin problem I have in a relevantly short time. I LOVE this stuff. I suffer from dry patches on my face but this cream takes care of that and leaves me with soft, smooth, glowing skin that is flawless.
Thanks to the BRBB I was introduced to trilogy moisturizers and my collection has exploded! I love love trilogy!
So the tube is typical trilogy, the lid looks like luxury matches perfect with the rest of the range. Even the grey tubes I have.
The cream is a nice consistency. It's not as thick as another one of the range I have. It smells lovely. I can smell orange and when ypu rub it between your hands I smell anaceed.
It doesn't sit on the skin to make it greasy. It soaks in nicely. This one is gorgeous under mineral foundation. It kind of helps the mineral cling to your skin.
As for the wrinkle bit, i have put it on the back of my hand now, rubbed it in and watching some wrinkles, yes they sort of lift up and make them way less noticeable. Doesn't totally hide them. When my skin is on the dry side I do feel a very very slight tingle. It's ok though.
Will I buy this again?? Yes!!
I did like this product. It is rich and nourishing, yet easily absorbed, just as advertised. I'm not so sure about the smoothing of wrinkles though..? I received this in a beauty box which is why I am using it. I do like the product, but feel there are other similar products on the market for cheaper.
Tips: A little does go a fairly long way.
The first impression was it smells exactly like the Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Night Cream I used before (smell like herb with a bit of orange rosy smell). Probably the 2 two products have some identical ingredients. It absorbs quickly, feel lightweight, very moisturising and not oily. It makes my skin look healthy, feel smoother. It is a good night cream and not heavy for a day cream either.
Tips: can use it for under eyes areas.
I was really excited to see a Trilogy product in the latest BRBB. I have been interested in this brand for quite some time. They seem to be making strides around the world with their products, and as a kiwi brand I thought I should probably try some more of it. I have tried their Rosehip Oil and wasn't particularly impressed. I had nearly finished my Essano Night Moisturiser so this was next to be tried!
I like the packaging. A simple white tube that has a tiny bit of iridescence to it which looks nice. The lid is really nice, covered in metal. When you take it off it is dark red on the inside which I like. Somehow Trilogy do dark red in a classy way rather than Moisture Mists old lady dark red.
I love the scent of this cream, although I do love roses. It has a lovely orange flower scent to it as well which stops it smelling too old. The cream is quite thick, but it smooths over the skin quite nicely. You do only need a small amount of it though as it gets thinner as your skin warms the product. The first night I used this I used far too much and I did end up having a break-out from too much richness on the skin. Since then I have been using it a bit more sparingly (which is great for the expensive price) and while I haven't noticed any major improvements to my skin I do like it, and it hasn't broken me out at all. Will I purchase this again, probably not. I do not feel like this expensive cream does anything special that a cheaper cream wouldn't. I will be back to the Essano Night Cream once this is finished. But I must say I was impressed enough I will be trying other Trilogy products when I have the opportunity.
I first tried this as a miniature in the travel collection and most recently from the Beauty Review Beauty Box. It is a wonderfully thick, indulgent moisturiser. I do find it very rich for my blemish prone skin but if I only apply it to around my eyes, forehead or neck area (areas I have fine lines appearing) then I don't have a problem. I also only apply it at night rather than as a day cream as I personally feel it is too heavy and by morning my skin feels like an oil slick.
The scent is very natural smelling, I'd say very rose/floral. It's strong but not sickly strong (and not a fan of floral scents normally). The very thick cream squeezes out of the tube easily and spreads well, it feels a bit greasy to start but soon absorbs into the skin leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.
I saw an improvement in skin plumpness around my dehydrated eye area fine lines are vanishing before my eyes (the deeper ones not as fast but still an improvement). My frown lines are diminished but still visible.
