CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I have dry to normal skin, and use a serum morning and night.

I was quite surprised when I received this product how small the bottle was (30ml), which is a standard sized serum bottle...BUT this product isn't, in my opinion, like any serum I've used before. The serum is not thin/runny like other serums, it is more like a thick soft cream. It felt like I was putting on two moisturisers, as opposed to a serum then moisturiser..this is like a barrier cream I guess (the packaging uses the words "reinforce the protective skin barrier").

However I did find this product does absorb within a minute or two like other serums. I found one full push down of the pump gives me the right amount of coverage for my face, half a pump wasn't enough, pump & a bit was too much. The product is non-scented which is great for people who don't like scented products but in my opinion it did have an ever so slight smell..like a medical smell (if ya know what I mean).

The bottle is solid plastic, it feels very travel friendly and would have no issues if you dropped it. It's slightly annoying I can't see the product inside so I have no idea how much product I've used and when I need to think about buying a new serum. It seems like this product wouldn't last long given how much product I need to use.

In terms of results, unfortunately I haven't noticed any difference to my skin other then feeling smooth straight after application. I always felt like I needed to apply a more hydrating moisturiser after, this serum didn't really give me any hydration.

This serum is amazing! I've been slacking on my skincare lately because uni has been so busy, but this has done wonders for me.

The packaging is so easy to use, I love the pump because it's faster and more hygienic than a jar, and it dispenses the perfect amount of product.

The texture is nice, not too heavy and soaks into the face quickly. My skin felt immediately more hydrated and it has definitely been feeling softer lately.

The price is definitely reasonable for the results in my opinion. Highly recommend!

This serum is different to other serums I've used. It is more like a cream than a gel or liquid. It definitely made my skin feel nice and soft, but I can't say it really made my skin anymore hydrated. I couldn't find on the box or the product, how much Hyaluronic Acid was actually in it. It was however quite nice to use as a hand cream. I don't think I'd purchase it myself as I think there are better products on the market and maybe an older skin needs a little more oopmh than what this product had to offer.

Although I’ve seen CeraVe products everywhere, I haven’t previously tried any of their products so I was very excited to try out the CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum. My skin has been feeling and looking very dull after being exposed to the current wintery weather conditions.

The directions advise that the serum can be used on its own or layered under a moisturiser. I tried it both ways. The first time I tried it, I used it on its own and found my skin felt very smooth and hydrated after applying it. There is not really much of a fragrance which is great for people that are not keen on too many fragranced skin care products.

The next time I tried it with my moisturiser layered over the top and I found that this worked even better as my skin felt hydrated for longer. I also noticed more of a change in my skin as I've used it continually for the past couple of weeks.

It has definitely brightened up my dull skin and it feels much softer and more hydrated. It has made a big difference when I’ve been outside in windy weather on playground duty, or watching my children play weekend sports for hours on end. The wind usually causes havoc with my skin but I feel the serum combined with my SPF moisturiser provided a really good barrier from the elements.

Everyone is finding the cost of living a struggle at the moment, but I think this is a really affordable option for a quality hyaluronic acid serum. I'm really keen to try out some more products made by CeraVe, perhaps their cleanser and moisturiser.

I was very excited to be picked as part of the trial team for the CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid Serum, this product has been on my wishlist for months!

The packaging is nice and simple, with a pump-style bottle, however, I feel this product will need to be cut open to get everything out of it.

My initial reaction to the serum was that it stayed in more of a solid cream form as opposed to other varieties which were more liquidy, for me this was great as I didn't have to rush to pat it into my skin, and there was also no scent which is great for sensitive skin types like myself.

On first use, my skin felt smoother and hydrated, I also found that my skin didn't dry out during the day in the cold winter air which was fantastic!

After a week of using this morning and night, I've found that particular dry spots on my face have made a slight improvement, however, I can't say how well it's working with my psoriasis until I've tested it for a bit longer.

I would say if you've been on the fence about trying this, it is definitely worth a go, I'll be continuing to use it!

I typically use liquid serums in my routine, more often than a 'cream' based serum, so this definitely had a different finish when applied. The packaging allows for a set measure of the serum so you don't over do it. It applies like any moisturiser really, and absorbs easily.

It definitely left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated with each use. Not sure it felt like it lasted 24hrs as I often felt like my skin was a bit tight by the end of the day, but it is also winter, and the weather is tough on skin, this time of year. Overall, my skin has felt smoother and softer - and no breakouts from this product either. I do still prefer liquid serums more than cream as I feel instant hydration from them, but thats simply a preference, because this CeraVe serum definitely delivers on what it says This was the first time using CeraVe product, so would definitely be keen to look at others, now I've tried this serum.

I'm always on the hunt for affordable, hydrating serums for by perpetually dehydrated skin. I jumped at the chance to trial this one!

First off, I'm a fan of the pump top. Often serums are more watery and come in dropper bottles which I just find cumbersome and messy. The pump top allows you to dispense just the right amount to apply to your face.

The serum it's self is lightweight, with a gel-cream texture. Gel texture is my favourite for moisturisers, so I appreciated this aspect. Upon application, the serum didn't leave me with a tight-skin feeling. It feels smooth and hydrated, with no residue.

You can wear it stand alone, or under other products. I find it sits nicely under a moisturiser and SPF.

This is a budget-friendly serum, and like other CeraVe products, I'd say it's simple yet effective.

I will be continuing to trial this product for a number of weeks to see if there are noticeable improvements to my skin.

I found the CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum super easy to use. One pump was enough to cover my face and I apply it morning and night. It is quite a light cream so I definitely need to apply a moisturiser over the top. I found it absorbs really fast so I didn’t need to wait more than 10 seconds before I could layer over moisturiser. The non-greasiness of the product meant makeup doesn’t flake either. I feel that it has kept my skin hydrated and plump and overall helped to reduce some fine lines on my forehead. It’s a good day to day serum, especially for the price.

This serum idoesn’t really have a serum-y feel. The consistency is more like a normal moisturiser. I like that there is no fragrance to this product. I have sensitive skin and this product was fine for me.

One pump of the serum was enough to cover my face so while the bottle looks small I think it would last for a while.

I like the packaging of this product - it’s super easy to get a pump of product and the serum isn’t exposed to air every time you open it like a jar of product would be.

I tried this product both under makeup during the day and at night time. It wore perfectly fine under makeup and did help to make my skin feel moisturised at night. I would agree that this product delivers long lasting hydration.

Overall, even though it largely did what it said it would, I’m just not sure this serum added that much to my skincare. It might be good to replace a night cream, but I’m not sure you need it with a night cream.

The reason I won’t be buying this again is because I’m not sure if they are truly cruelty free. While the Cerave website says they do not test on animals, Cerave is owned by the L’Oreal Group and my understanding is that they aren’t cruelty free.
