Having not ever used serums regularly nor tried many at all, I was looking forward to see what this little beauty could do. No irritation of my Rosacea at all, which can be an issue with Retinol, so I’m extremely impressed with that. The hydrating effects are instant and lasting, with my skin feeling soft and looking radiant. My face appears smoother and firmer, with fine lines also seemingly softened. The serum has a lovely light scent, although it is a little on the runny side which I found rather off putting. The dropper/dispenser is a rather nifty way of preventing wastage of excess product, especially as you don’t need a huge amount, a little goes a long way. The one let down I feel is the price, it’s not affordable at all for me personally so it’s highly unlikely I will ever purchase this serum unfortunately.

Granted I was only able to trial this for just over 2 weeks due to a delay with the courier, but in those two weeks I haven't noticed any difference in my skin appearance or texture. I did like how you were able to just pump the product out by pressing on the supplied pump and then unscrewing it and applying it to your face/hand by pressing that pump again to release the product, however I did find that the recommended two drops wasn't enough to do my entire face. I found that I needed one full pump of product to completely cover all surfaces. No scent as well which I do like so if you're looking for a retinol that has no scent or you are sensitive to fragrance then this could be for you. It has quite a thin consistency as well, I'm used to more thicker products, so maybe that's why I found the recommended amount not enough. My main concern with my face is the one wrinkle I have near my right eyebrow but in the two weeks I used this product I noticed no difference in its reduction.
I think what I liked the most about this product was how soft it left my skin. I hate to say it but it was probably the only thing i liked about it.
I was really excited to try this product when I got chosen after reading all the claims with what it would do, however after these two weeks I can't say that I have been that impressed. I think I have used better retinols. Or it could be that I need more time to see a better result. I will probably continue to use it until it runs out to see if my opinion changes.
For context I am 45 years old and have combination skin. I also didn't use this after a toner as suggested. I just applied it after washing my face, am and pm
This was the first time I have tried anything by this brand. This is a Serum that promotes smoorhing, firming and reducing lines and wrinkles. The serum contains Retinol and Beauactive and Vitamin E. After using for 3weeks I notice my skin is firmer and I can see some subtle changes in the smile lines on my cheeks, the look plumper and more hydrated. My skin is pretty happy using this product, I have been able to apply morning and night without any issues. My skin is definitely looking radiant and the texture is smooth. It's working with my existing skincare. The pump packaging is easy to use and dispense the right amount to use. The texture of the Serum is light and smooth and easily absorbs into the skin, not sticky. It doesn't really have a heavy fragrance, delicate and clean smelling. Works fine under makeup. A great addition to my skincare routine.
Tips: Cleanse skin first. Tone. Apply a couple of drops into palms and apply all over face and neck and chest, avoiding eyes. Apply usual moisturiser.
Wear an SPF daily while using this product.
First of all I would like to thank Beauty Review for the chance to trial a product. I always feel quite special when I an entrusted with a trial product.
WOW! I am sure I have found my holy grail serum. This serum comes in a 30ml white plastic bottle with the top of the dropper on the lid. The instructions [which I follow] say to place 1-2 drops onto your palm or fingers. Then apply to your face and décolletage. Do this morning and night after cleansing and toning. I have had this serum for a good length of time so I have really seen the benefits. The serum is very lightly scented, nothing offensive, it is very subtle. The consistency is a bit thicker than water, as in it doesn't quickly run off your fingertips. It feels absolutely beautiful as you apply it to your skin. It absorbs very well and leaves your skin feeling very well loved. The big win for me was a reduction in the two lines between my eyes, frown lines I suppose. They were super deep and always visible, however, now they are much less visible and I am extremely happy. My skin looks more lively now, not so dull and dry, I think it looks like a younger persons skin, and I don't mind that at all. Overall I am really happy with the results of using this serum.
Tips: Always do a patch test, you never know if you will have a bad reaction to an ingredient and make sure the patch is not very visible.
I was lucky enough to trial this Dr LeWinns Serum, and it is the first product from this brand that I've tried.
Firstly, the packaging is nice and I love the bottle. The dropper bottle has a soft squeeze top lid which makes for easy application of the product. The serum itself is milky in colour, and I really liked that the serum isn't sticky, thick or oily like some other serums I've tried. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave any type of greasy residue. After using this at night, I would wake up with my skin feeling soft and hydrated.
No irritation - it was very gentle on my skin. Also, when I had blemishes, this didn't sting or aggravate them. I actually found that this helped to reduce the redness of any pimples.
It has been a while that I've been using this now and I think it has made my skin appear more radiant and hydrated overall. My skin texture seems to have improved, but I haven't yet noticed any reduction of fine lines. This may come with more time using it.
As this product was not yet on the market when I have trialed it, I am unsure of the price point so I can't comment on whether I think it is good value for money, however I would imagine that it would sit somewhere between the $50 - $65 range (which I would be happy to pay).
Great product and I intend to keep using it!
Tips: Only apply a little bit- it goes further than you probably expect.
It's safe to say my usual retinol serum has been replaced! First of all the packaging. Straight off I was drawn to the pretty white bottle and the top contains a neat push button dispenser which dishes out the perfect amount of product. The texture of this serum is delightful. I'm used to the oiliness of The Ordinary retinol which is my usual, but this product isn't oily at all and absorbs super fast with no stickiness, leaving skin feeling ever so slightly moisturised. Effectiveness- I haven't noticed my frown lines between my eyes or my fine lines on my forehead as much, so it must be doing the trick! I didn't notice a difference to my deeper wrinkles around my mouth and eyes, although to be honest I think this is a job only botox can fix! My dark spots seemed less noticeable and my skin overall looks brighter.amd feels healthier. Retinol can irritate the skin but I didn't notice any at all with this product. In saying that, I was already using retinol before this product so I'm interested to see if others found it to be irritating. This is a great all rounder and I love that it boasts more than just retinol. Looking forward to trying other products from this range if there are any.
Where to start... this serum is just lovely and ticks so many boxes! I saw an improvement in my skin straight after first application. My skin appeared plumper, brighter and those fine lines disappeared! My pores also looked smaller! It doesn't last long though, after a while I notice the magic slowly disappearing. Fine lines returning but face still appears somewhat plump and bright. I seriously loooove how light it is, especially for a serum. You don't feel it on your skin as it soaks right in. It has a very light fragrance that I love as I am very sensitive to smells. You don't need to use a lot as it spreads easily. I'm not crazy about the idea of using a product containing Retinol during the day as we were taught not to. I didn't like the applicator, it definitely isn't easy to use, it can be improved. It is a bit pricey but on the other hand this one product gave me the same results that all my other serums combined do. I would like to pair this with a moisturizer and or other products from this brand to see if it would maximize the results.
I've never been disappointed with Dr LeWinn's products, and this serum is no different. Wow! I'm a bit of a fan of a high end serum, but that just got knocked off the pedestal.
This renew serum has a wow factor, and the wow happened quite quickly.
The packaging is very simple but sophisticated. The dropper is pretty simple, so you can easily dispurse too much, if you're a bit heavy handed. You only need the few drops recommended.
The serum itself is very light but packs some punch. I used it morning and night for the duration of the trial and after about a week, my skin was looking bright and clear. Being late 40's I have the wrinkles and the sun damage, so I love a serum that helps repair some of my youthful failings with my skin care. This serum definitely reduced the visibility of sun damage and the wrinkles softened a little too.
I have a scar above my lip that tends to look very red first thing in the morning and 3+ weeks on, it's a very pale pink first thing in the morning. My skin generally - very bright and clear. A healthy glow I'd call it. The serum itself used morning and night will last quite a while especially if you stick to the 2 or so drops, rather than dispursing everything in the dropper. I patted it on my skin rather than rubbing and it absorbed really well, and my skin felt great. I used this straight after toner morning and night.
Given the results I'll definitely continue with this serum. Great for my skin type and age bracket and delivers on its claims. The price is at the higher end, but I've used a serum I thought was the holy grail and was a lot more expensive, and I think the Dr LeWinn's Renew serum is as good - maybe better! I'm looking forward to trying more of the range and incorporating the serums into my daily regime!
Thanks BR Team for yet another awesome trial!
I was thrilled to be chosen for this review. I love Dr. Lewinn's skin care range and have used many in the past.
As with this whole range, the packaging is simple and clean. It has a drop applicator inbuilt to the screw-top lid which is pretty great. I worked out fairly quickly that the best way to fill up the applicator is to depress the top first so the serum fills it, then unscrew the lid and depress the serum into your hand. Unscrewing the lid and then filling the applicator is awkward and potentially risky of knocking the bottle over, which I found out a couple of times by doing exactly that! I'm sure this is obvious to most of you, but without clear instructions of how to apply, these things can take me a while to work out, lol.
The serum itself is light and glides on. A little goes a long way. I love that. You can definitely feel that a serum is helping deliver the benefits of your moisturiser as well, as it leaves your skin feeling dewy and hydrated. Top marks for that.
This serum is targeted at aging skin, with the aim being to brighten, smooth and renew. Used religiously for 4 weeks, I can't say that it has delivered visibly, but I've thoroughly enjoyed using it in my daily routine and enjoyed what feels like smoother skin, especially when applying moisturiser or BB cream.
Overall, I enjoyed this product, but I don't see any real benefits from using it over others I've used in the past.
Tips: Depress the application BEFORE unscrewing the lid to fill applicator. Works a treat!
I was really excited to be able to try the Dr. LeWinn's Serum Series - Renew and it certainly has exceeded all expectations. I have been a fan of Dr. LeWinn's for a long time but haven't been using their products recently. This serum has changed that completely and I'm off to treat myself to the whole series of this product. The serum comes in the coolest container - always nice to have something a little bit different. Even better is what is in the bottle itself. This serum is so light, not at all greasy and leaves your skin feeling very fresh. My skin is currently in a bit of a state as I've just come through my third dose of Covid. It was very dry, blotchy and I really started to look my age - the 'deweyness' of youth was long gone! After using this gorgeous product for a few weeks, however, I have noticed so many differences and honestly can't believe how good this product is. The redness has just about disappeared and my skin has a far better tone to it than I've seen in years. The fine lines, which I'm lucky to have not too many of, have also reduced and my skin is without doubt a whole lot firmer. It looks better than it has in years! I've been using the serum twice a day as suggested and the difference is so obvious that I've had comments about how well I'm looking. This means the world to me as apart from the Covid experiences, my skin has also had to deal with a couple of different cancers which really had a horrible impact. I've finally got my lovely skin back!
Tips: Use twice daily as recommended and definitely grab the other products in this range. You really do only need a couple of drops - I possibly used a little bit more due to the dire skin situation, but I've gone back to the two drops and they are more than enough to do the trick.
