essano Vitamin C Super Glow Facial Oil

It comes in a medium sized bottle with a drop applicator. The scent is a lovely mild sweet scent. The consistency is a semi thick oil.

Simply put 3-4 drops in the palm of your hand and gently pat on your face after cleansing, apply moisturizer on afterwards. Suitable for use in the morning and evening.

I found this product to be extremely gentle on my skin, absorbs easily and left my skin feeling great. Each morning my skin was soft and had a natural glow to it instead of looking dull. I also have alot of uneven skin tones and I feel after 3 weeks the appearance of it has lightened leaving my skin looking more glowing.

I would highly recommend and I will definitely be repurchasing again.

I was sent a full sized 20ml dropper bottle of this Vitamin C facial oil as part of a Beauty Review Trail Team.

The splurb on Essano's website says: “Harnessing the power of the super source of Vitamin C Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate to nourish and boost skin radiance. This low-irritation, easily absorbed Vitamin C Super Glow Facial Oil contains 8 natural oils and extracts including Turmeric and Jojoba to even out skin tone, lighten the appearance of dark spots and leave the skin glowing. Benefits: 5% Vitamin C, Brightens dull skin, 8 super oils and extracts for a radiant glow, Light & easily absorbed. After cleansing and toning, apply 3-4 drops onto fingertips and gently pat onto face avoiding the eye area. Follow with your favourite essano moisturiser or night crème. Patch test before use. Vegan-friendly.”

Armed with that information, I was really keen to start using this facial oil to see if it could lighten the dark pigmentation spots on my cheeks. I know the box said to use morning and evening, but I've been told by a beautician before to avoid using Vitamin C products during the day, as it can react with sunlight, so I only applied this in the evenings, after cleansing and toning. Some nights, I'd apply my night cream over the top, if my skin was feeling particularly dry, but other nights, just using the facial oil was enough (I have oily skin). The oil is light and easily absorbed, unless too much is applied, then it can feel quite oily on the skin. Start off with two drops and then add another drop if needed.

After using this product every evening for two weeks, I think I can see an improvement in my skin. My skin is definitely more radiant and nourished, and the dark marks don't seem as prominent as they were before. My skin has always reacted to Essano's products, and I tend to get a breakout around my chin and along my jawbone every time I use Essano, but that didn't happen with this product, so I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to try a Vitamin C Facial Oil.

I took before and after photos and have put these up on the Photo Wall. The photos were taken in the same place with the same lighting, to try and show true effects of this oil.

I'm all in to the Vitamin C at the moment and I love that it makes my skin glow like it says it will!

My texture is smoothed and my skin tone has evened out. I think this has even had an impact on my wrinkles and fine lines! My skin feels firmer and much more hydrated.

The only reason I would probably reach for another Vit C serum over this, is that I found this a little greasy.

Love this oil!

It smells natural and is really silky and smooth. I found it rubbed in well and instantly smoothed my face.

The dry patches seemed to disappear as soon as it touched my skin. My skin after use felt very balanced - my oily t-zone was sorted out!

I think this is a great daily use product. It would be a great starter oil, or just a really nice addition to any skin routine.

Like most Essano products, this oil comes in nice pink packaging. The oil is in a small glass bottle with a dropper. The dropper works well (unlike many droppers!) and you can easily control how much of the oil you use. I used this facial oil morning and night under my moisturiser. You only need a small amount and it really is absorbed easily into the skin. I wasn't left with any oily residue at all. I found it a good base for my moisturiser and make up. My skin felt nicely hydrated after using it. I didn't notice any real change in my skin tone, although it is early days, so fingers crossed!

Clickbait title alert! This oil doesn't really give you rosy cheeks, but it makes them SMELL rosy. Not an old-timey, faded potpourri, grandmother's wrinkly hands sort of smell, but an uplifting, frolicking in summer fields sort of smell. Rather nice actually.

This oil is very light and goes a loooong way. Four drops is enough, which means this bottle is going to last forrrrevvverrrrr. I applied after toning with a spritzer spray. If I'm late with the moisturiser, all that wet spray evaporates off leaving my skin feeling tighter and drier than before. BUT if you add some drops of Essano Vitamin E oil, it holds all that moisture in. And then I have longer to faff about before moisturising.

The oil is quite a nice step to include in the nightly routine and although I didn't use it every day, I liked how it made my skin feel softer. I'm not sure about the 'super glow', although it definitely gives a dewy look - because it's oil, der.

I was hoping the Vitamin C boost would help lighten my pesky dark melanin spots on my cheekbones, but it didn't make much of a difference there during the trial weeks (thank you BR for the opportunity to trial this product!). Here's hoping a longer useage time makes more of an impact.

All in all, I would say this product is definitely a 'nice to have' - it's inexpensive, you can buy it from the supermarket, it smells lovely and it's a little luxury boost for a tired skin routine.

I've used a few Essano products over the last couple of years, and I've always been happy with them.

This, though. It smells amazing!! It makes my skin feel so soft and smooth, is easy to apply and goes on under makeup, easy as.

The price point of Essano products is great, too!!

I'm a big fan of Essano, I've always loved their products and their range is getting huge, so I'm always keen to try new products from them. This facial oil smells amazing! I've always heard Vitamin c oil is really good for your skin and I have tried another brand before that I quite liked. 3 drops is all you need morning and night, don't make the mistake of doing more because it really spreads out and brings a brightness to your complexion. I feel as if it is doing good for my skin but I've decided to just use it once a day due to breakouts which I think is from the facial oil because I haven't changed anything else in my skincare routine. I didn't see any difference my skin tone or dark spots but I will continue to use it and see if I can notice anything, plus this tiny little bottle is going to go a long way so its definitely good value for money!

essano Vitamin C Super Glow Facial Oil

I was super excited to try this facial oil as it promised to boost skin radiance and brighten dull skin. When you're over 45, you'll take all the help you can get in this regard!

Enriched with eight oils and extracts, I knew this low-irritation oil would be good for my skin, especially as it's winter and my skin is more prone to dullness over the colder months. It's a common complaint, I guess. I hear a lot of women talk about skin dullness over winter...

The oil comes packaged in a cute pink and orange box, with gold essano lettering. It suits the brand, and 'Made in New Zealand' is written clearly at the bottom of the box, along with the essano promise of no parabens and other similar nasties in the product.

As per the main instructions, I applied 3-4 drops of the oil on to my fingertips and gently patted it on to my face, avoiding the delicate eye area. One small criticism I could make at this point is that the oil comes out a little too abundantly - you need to be careful that those 3-4 drops placed on your fingertips don't become more like puddles! A minor criticism, but worth mentioning. However, despite that, if I ended up accidentally putting more on my face, it gave it even more of a healthy glow - so it wasn't a problem for me to use more of it than the stated amount.

It also smells divine! I don't know what oil/extract I'm smelling when I use it, perhaps it's a combo of all the oils and extracts used in this product or just the result of one in particular. Whatever the case, the fragrance is lovely and makes me even more keen to use it!

You apply it in the morning and evening - after cleansing and toning your face. I've been using the oil for around six days now, as part of my morning and nightly skincare regime.

The first thing I noticed is that it made my skin glow! Not in a traffic-light neon kind of way (thankfully!), but just in a healthy, slightly shiny way. It definitely gives my skin a radiance boost, which is what essano said it would do!

And now, after having used this oil for about six days as part of my overall skincare regime, I have definitely noticed a boost in overall radiance and brightness. Also my skin feels smoother and less dry. It's nourishing and caring - all the good words I can think of apply here! The product really does do what it sets out to do, I've had no side effects and I enjoy using it! Tick, tick, tick.

So, I have no qualms in recommending this product to others. It's NZ made, it's gentle and kind to the skin and it achieves results. And I think it'd suit people of all ages - not just my age group.

If you factor it into your overall skincare regime, you won't be disappointed. Five kisses.
