Garnier Green Labs Hylu-Melon Routine

These two products are a match made in heaven. After using these products together I have noticed a significant change in my dry skin problem area's. The fragrance is so fresh, packaged beautifully and it left my skin feeling silky smooth, hydrated and plump.

I started off with the Garnier melon serum as a base for my foundation and wow it's a complete game changer. Firstly the milky texture was super nice and left my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. It helped smooth out the dry skin from around my eyebrows so my foundation did not look flaky. The watermelon fragrance is not sweet, just a nice suttle smell.

I then cleansed my skin that night with the Garnier melon milky cleanser. It helped to remove makeup and any impurities and left my skin feeling plump and refreshed. I expected this product to come out as a white milky texture but infact came out as a clear jelly but lathered milky.

Both products contain hyaluronic acid but does not leave your skin feeling tight like a lot of other products containing this does.

First up - The Garnier green labs hylu-melon milky cleanse. Smells so good, lovely watermelon scent! It is a gel like consistency that then lathers a little when mixed with water. I just add a small amount (A little really goes a long way) to my finger tips and then rub into my face in circular motions to really get off any dirt, sweat or make up off the skin. It does a great job at removing make up, even got my water proof mascara off without too much rubbing. I also have sensitive skin and so far have had zero issues with it breaking me out and isn't drying on the skin. The tube is so big at 130mls, it will last such a long time so definitely a great buy to get your moneys worth. The packaging is also made from some recycled material which everyone loves, and also vegan friendly.

Last but not least - Garnier Green Labs Hylu-Melon Serum Cream SPF15 Another great smelling product! Even had people comment on how good it smells. It is a nice creamy consistency, 2 small pumps is all I need to apply all over my face and neck after cleansing each morning. It is perfect for a primer under make up as well and has made my foundation sit really nicely. Great that is had spf 15 in it as I can be terrible at remembering to apply sunscreen sometimes and this takes the stress off that. Comes in a handy pump bottle for easy dispensing and the bottle is also 100% recycled products. This bottle honestly takes the hassle out of having to have 3 different products (serum, moisturizer and sunscreen) and as a mum it makes my mornings that much easier on me but also still knowing I'm looking after my aging skin, also great value for your money being 3 products in one.

Over all I haven't noticed the 2 products helping too much with my fine lines but my skin is definitely alot more hydrated and less dry looking when wearing makeup so its doing something for my skin and I have only been using them both just over a week so will need to give it a bit more time to do its magic but its definitely a duo I will be repurchasing and will be recommending it to friends and family.

I am loving this new routine. The Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Melon Smoothing Milky Cleanser is effective and kind to my skin. The Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Melon Replumping Serum Cream feels great and not greasy, with the benefit of combining 3 products in one I can spend less time on my skin care routine every day. I look forward to seeing how these products improve my fine lines and hydration levels.

I enjoyed trying both these products together - the cleanser every day and night, and the serum cream every morning.

The milky cleanser is really good in cleansing well and not making my skin feel too tight afterwards, my skin did feel smooth and a little plump. I found I didn't need too much of it to turn into the milky consistency when mixed with water, it washed makeup off with no issues.

The serum cream was effective in hydrating my skin but I found the consistency of the texture too thick for my personal preference. However I found the SPF15 worked fine and it did hydrate my skin well. I would probably prefer a higher SPF at my age (30s), but I think this product would be great for anyone on a budget or maybe starting out exploring products with Hyaluronic Acid.

For this routine, I'd choose the cleanser over the cream serum as I found it easy to use and I liked the texture of it. After using both products for two weeks, I found that my skin was hydrated but did not see significant change in fine lines.

A good cleanser and day cream combo but not the best products I've tried from Garnier overall.

I really like the green labs concept Garnier has chosen; vegan formulas, tracking the biodegradability and water footprint of their formulas, using recyclable material for their bottles and using renewable energy at the plant that produced the product.

It shows Garnier as a company is taking some environmental and ethical responsibility for the products they produce.

For a consumer like me, who likes to support more ethical and environmentally conscious companies, it makes people like me more likely to pick their product over a similar competitor.

To the regime itself, both products use hyaluronic acid and water melon to target dehydrated skin and fine lines, with the intention of leaving skin bouncier and smoother.

The Smoothing Milky Wash is a gel-like consistency and a milky color. It removes makeup and impurities and leaves the skin feeling fresh and smooth.

The Replumping Serum Cream provides a serum and cream and a sunscreen all in one lightweight formula.

It’s a fast-absorbing, oil free cream that leaves skin feeling moisturized for up to 24 hours.

I can’t say my skin is smoother, but as a face wash and moisturizer with sunscreen, they do a good job of keeping the skin in great shape.

Separately I did not love these products, and the same goes for them together. While I certainly did not dislike them, I’m just not sure Garnier have got them quite right. Throughout my trial I used them separately on some days and together on others to see if I could find the pairing they have indicated there is. I could not see that using the cleanser before the serum made any difference to how the serum performed, nor did I find that my face felt any different when the serum was not used. I think these two products do what they say they do on a fundamental level, but I’m not sure they’re game changing as a “routine”. I had hoped, based on the marketing, that these two products would work together to reduce and remove impurities, smooth and plump my skin and increase hydration, while tackling fine lines and unfortunately while it does hit some marks (hydration and plumping) I did not see any difference to impurities , smoothness or fine lines. A good offering for those just delving into skincare routines, but may not satisfy those who need the help with fine lines and other signs of aging,

I was disappointed with this skincare routine. It promises moisture rich skin and for me it did the exact opposite. It dried my skin out. I found that it made my skin really tight. The serum was more like a sunscreen for me and even then it wasn't enough spf to protect my face. The cleanser had a beautiful smell and a nice consistency but everytime I used it my skin felt so dry. I have combination skin as well which probably doesn't help but it would maybe work better for normal skin. This product was definitely not for me.

I always thought a cleanser was just a cleanser, removes make up and be done with it. But this actually hydrates your skin, and top it off with the 3n1 serum cream! My skin has never looked so good. My makeup goes on so well, it looks so smooth. I'm absolutely loving this combo!
