I'm a bit of a hand cream junkie and apply several times a day, especially in winter. I had never tried Mor hand cream before but had heard great things about it. When a 50ml tube was being given away with a magazine earlier this year I quickly snapped it up. Oh how I love a magazine freebie! I decided to op for this in the 'lychee flower' fragrance.
The packaging on this is gorgeous and worthy of being left on a desk or coffee table - bright pink with the Mor design and lettering in gold. The scent wasn't quite what I was expecting. I've never smelt a lychee flower so I guess I was expecting it to smell like the lychee fruit. It is a very fresh smell, that is very uplifting. There is quite a heady undertone to it though so I think this is a smell that might not agree with some.
You only need a small blob of the white opaque cream. It slips easily over your hands and absorbs instantly without stickiness. This is great if you need to get on with other jobs. However I feel like my hands aren't moisturised for long and that I need to reapply frequently. I prefer something heavier that takes a while to sink in but with long lasting effects. This is nice to use during the day when you have other jobs to get on with but I need a heavier cream to use at night.
I enjoyed using this but I'm unlikely to repurchase it. There are other creams that I prefer in this price range.
I scored a bargain on a lovely, brand new tube of this. I loved MOR products ever since I got the body scrub and soap but the hand creams really caught my eye. And since I've become a hand cream junkie I had to add this to my collection. The scent I got was Blood Orange. The scent of this is beautiful there's citrus orange notes at the top and then some floral and sweet ones. It's a bit sweet but the orange and mandarin keep it from becoming overpoweringly sugary. Can we discuss the tube? It's really classy, looks really high-end. Seriously I don't get sucked into packaging much but the tube would add a look of luxury and class to anyone's vanity, beside or dresser. It's this beautiful dark red with a gold cap and the company logo and writing in gold. I almost just bought it to sit on my beauty table next to my candles and look pretty and this says a lot since I've never bought a decorative hand cream before. Candles yes, but not beauty, skincare or body care products. The formula has some great ingredients like sesame seed oil, glycerin and vitamin E which help to make your hands soft. When I apply this my hands smell gorgeous. However this is where it goes from being a fantastic product to not being something I would buy much. I have really dry hands and this doesn't provide enough moisture to suit my needs and the fact that it's a fragranced product doesn't help improve my eczema. It's just a personal thing and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't have a problem with this. But as pretty as it is I need a more functional hand cream on my table for use so I gave my tube away. It does make a gorgeous looking, luxurious gift and looks really high end and classy. Despite me not buying this again for myself I would buy this as a gift for someone else.
Tips: Makes a luxurious, high end looking prezzy for someone. It is a handy size for your purse but with a tube that pretty you probably want to put it on your dresser or class up your vanity. I wouldn't recommend this as hand cream to use overnight as I think a richer and more hydrating hand cream would be more beneficial but if you do like to use it overnight at least you'll have something nice to sniff as you fall asleep.
