This product is one of things where the inner hoarder in me and the clutter hating ruthless B in me had an all out war. The packaging is exquisite. I have never wanted to keep a box more than this. It was absolutely stunning and for that reason alone made an amazing gift for me. I ended up chucking it though because I am truly a heartless cow when it comes to things that clutter these days (2 kids, tiny 2 bedroom house...watch out anything that gets in my way!). And that was just the box! The tube is equally gorge and now that I'm close to running out I admit I will be really sad to throw this one out, where usually panning a product gives me such glee.
Review done.
Oh wait that's right there's actually a product inside.
The contents are a good handcream. Not brilliant, perhaps heading towards the great side of good. They did the job hydration wise but my hands are a serious case in neglect and they need more than most handcreams are offering.
My major turn off is two-fold. One, it's a slow absorb. Not as slow as some mind you, but I am a woman of action and I don't have time to stand around waiting for cream to sink in.
Two, the scent. It's super overpowering. I got the scent "Belladona" and while it's not terrible it's much stronger than I would like and it gives me a headache. It has about 5 squillion things it's "enriched with" or "containing" too, it's simply too much. I'm sure this could easily be rectifies by simply picking a scent more to my taste if I repurchase though.
I received a 50ml of this hand cream in a gift set from the wonderful women at Rose&Thorne;, as my order was being stuffed around (talk about good customer service!!!). I got the scent 'Marshmellow' along with a Turkish towel, and a giant bar of soap that I don't want to use (or know how I would even start!)
The bottle is gorgeous. It is a beautiful baby pink, which does look like a marshmellow kind of color. It has a gold lid and gold writing/pictures. It's really gorgeous, and makes me feel fancy just looking at it!
The smell is what threw me off the most - I was assuming a sweet kind of marshmellow smell - instead I get a deep delicious musky kind of smell. God it's divine, I can't stop smelling my hands. The top notes are white carnation and marshmellow - I can only smell the carnation. Base notes are snow musk, sugar and Madagascan Vanilla - I can smell the musk, and I can smell the vanilla but at separate times, not together.
The product is a thick cream with a slight pink tinge to it, and it rubs in really well but you do need more than a pea sized amount. The smell lasts for a long time, and its pleasant enough to use throughout the day without being overpowering. I would repurchase but $17 is a bit ridiculous for such a small tube. But maybe it's worth it. ;-)
Im always a sucker for pretty metallic packaging so this hand cream caught my eye right away, with a range of colours and scents it was difficult to pick a favourite so I brought two, Lychee Flower - uplifting and reminds me of tropical fruits and Belladonna - more calming and reminds me of vintage musk. Although normally I like a pump bottle for hand creams this range is perfect for the handbag and great if you need some added perfume on the go and don't have any fragrances handy. I like that they are facing down to squeeze out which means when I get to the end there wont be much/any wasted product. The powerful scents are what makes these hand cream stand out, even after washing my hands I can still smell the delicious fragrances, the only downside for me would be that because I get super dry hands they aren't highly hydrating for a long period, but this wouldn't stop me from continuing to use them. Not very greasy either so great for when you're in hurry. Overall a great Australian made product which is free of parabens, mineral oil and synthetic dyes. Also NOT tested on animals is also a huge tick for me.
Tips: Perfect gift for when you want to give someone a little something special without breaking the bank. RRP $14.50.
I've never really been a fan of hand creams but since I received this I've been loving it. I keep it in my bag when I go to uni so Im always using it. I don't feel like its super hydrating but I'm not too fussed as I use it so often it doesn't really matter that much. I find the scent doesn't linger too much which is great if you're wearing perfume. It's not greasy at all which is a definite plus for me if I still have heaps of work that needs done, I don't want my greasy hands to slip all over my pens at uni. It's not the cheapest but I think it would make a great gift for someone
I find this gorgeous hand cream quite luxurious. You dont need much for your hands to feel like they have had a treat. The 50ml tube looks pretty and is a good size for your handbag. It is a light consistency and absorbs easily and is not greasy at all. $16.99 it is not the cheapest on the market but for a special gift or a treat for yourself it is worth it.
I received a full sized tube of this hand cream in the scent belladonna from a subscription box. The packaging is quite luxurious in apparence, and the actual hand cream has a hint of iridescence, which further gives the impression of luxury! The belladonna scent is a pleasant floral, not too obnoxious or heavy. I have still not quite finished the 50ml tube, and I have had it for at least 6 months I believe.
This hand cream is absolutely perfect for application after washing my hands, or when they are feeling a little parched. I wouldn't bother using it when my hands are super dry and chapped (as they sometimes can be when living and working on a farm) as I feel it just wouldn't make the cut in terms of a real intense hit of moisture. For everyday use however- thumbs up.
Have heard amazing things about the marshmallow scent so if I see this out and about I will be sure to purchase (despite my extensive collection of hand creams!)
The packaging for all MOR products is stunning and so chic- their handcream being no exception. I tried the handcream in Blood Orange and loved it. It has a really fresh and pleasant scent which is something I look for in a handcream. The formula itself is very soft and gentle on the skin. After applying my hands feel soft, supple and smell great.
Overall it's a great product and I'd like to try out the other delicious fragrances that the other reviewers are raving about!
Tips: MOR Handcream would make a perfect gift- along with anything else in the MOR range for that matter!
Ok, I'm a bit of a handcream fanatic, I like to apply handcream numerous times throughout the day and have tubes everywhere around my house and even in my car and handbag so I can get my 'fix'. This handcream is probably one of the most luxurious ones that I've ever used before. I have used up a tube of the honey nectar and am currently using neroli clementine.
Lets start with packaging. It's a sturdy looking tube, they are all different colours according to scent and they have gold writing and black caps. Pretty simple but it looks quite classy.
The smell of these are just devine! The clementine has a slightly citrusy, warm smell. Nothing too sweet or spicy. The honey nectar funnily enough smells like a gorgeous, sweet honey. I've would love to try out sugar rose and marshmallow, they sound really good!
The formula is nice, it's not super thick so it rubs in easily and leaves no greasy or sticky feeling afterwards. My hands stay moisterised for a little while after, like probably a couple of hours which seems to be pretty standard for most hand creams.
It is on the more expensive side so it's not my 1st choice for handcream. I buy it off ezibuy when they have good specials on. They quite often have half price deals so I buy it then. Overall, I think this handcream would make a lovely gift for someone and it is a nice handcream to use for yourself as well.
I like the scent of the Mor hand cream although I seemed to be in the minority when I wore it. I really liked the pink and gold colouring of the packaging and felt inclined to buy the matching tea cup candle. People at work complained about the sweet scent so I ended up wearing it at home instead of work. Due to the negative feedback I felt less inclined to wear it.
Tips: Check that you like the smell before buying this product.
