Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum

I was very excited to receive the Manicare pore vacuum. My thoughts were to have a go on my son as well as myself. The packaging looked interesting with the girl colour of lavender. Very inviting. All the information was on the box so instructions weren’t on a sheet that you might loose. It seems quite comprehensive, how to download the site for the application to work. It’s very important to read the instructions correctly to to limit bruising on the face. The vacuum was easy to handle and fits my hand perfectly so ergonomic in that instance. After charging the vacuum I proceeded to try it on myself. The camera was great but a bit distracting as well. I was concentrating on the camera and managed to bruise my face slightly by not moving it smoothly and evenly over my face. Its suction levels were very strong, even the lowest was sucking my face into it. I swapped around nozzles to the small one to limit the suction, this did make a difference but with little results. I found it easier to use the mirror than the camera when operating on myself. I used it on my son, he didn’t enjoy it too much either. I did work well on his teenage face, and in his ears. It does state great for ear wax, it did unblock his ears and pull some wax out. I was surprised about the price point of $90 at my beauty department close to me. I was thinking it may have been a bit more expensive. If I had a choice of purchasing this or putting on a face mask. I’d choose the mask. It didn’t in my opinion work as well as claimed for the money. To get it to pull the blackheads out, then full vacuum would be necessary, which would be difficult to move over the skin. My son had the medium level on a moisturised warm skin and that was still difficult. It did pull quite a few out but was very uncomfortable for him. I do not recommend this product.

Received my pore vacuum to test. Lovely purple and black unit with clear suction cups. Love the interchangable cups especially for the hard to reach placed along the nose. Downloaded the app but no matter what I try, phone data or wi-fi the app kept disconnecting. After trying everything I could think of to get the app to work I gave up and attempted the process without the help of the app. The few times I managed to actually see my skin on the app it was somewhat blurred and not an entirely clear picture. Not sure if its got something to do with my phone or the app.

Steamed my face before hand to open up the pores. Started on the lightest setting as I was warned the unit could bruise your skin if using too high a setting. Slowly glided the unit taking extra care not to stay in one spot for too long.

Lowest setting did clear a handful of pores but not as I was hoping. Changed to setting to a higher incriment and attempted again. This time a few more stubborn pores was removed but again not the bigger more stubborn ones. At this point I opted to wait a couple days before attempting again as I could see some parts turning red. Luckily I didn't have bruises the next day and I could see somewhat of a difference in the pores especially on the nose.

With repeated use I believe the unit us strong enough to give you a clearer skin. Will attempt again in a couple of days

I have used the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum 3 times over the week long trial period. My nose has always had congested pore and blackheads, so I was keen to see improvement in this area. Setting up the technology side of things was easy...even for a 50 plus tech amateur. Easy to find and load app via Google play onto my Samsung phone. Popped the hand piece on charge and then got into it. Pairing the hand piece and phone was a little confusing....you must have the handpiece switched on and then the Manicare interface will pop up on your broadband selector on your phone...you may need to turn WiFi off and then on to see it come up. I tried the soft and normal suction first then upped the suction to the maximum. Wow sucky!! But I was still able to keep the hand piece moving over my nose...it is suggested and the piece automatically reminds you, not to stay in one spot more than 3 seconds, or else you will get a small vacuum hicky (remember those in the teenage years?). It was tricky getting around the side of my nose, and the oval nozzle came in handy here. The micordermabrasion nozzle worked well for an area of rough skin. While you don't see the pores immediately clear with the suction, the gunge is certainly brought to the surface and you can clear this residue with application of toner (not supplied) after. Certainly the process was more fruitful on a hot day versus a cold day.....even when I had pre washed with warm water. It was super scarey to see my nose looked like a strawberry on my phone 10x magnification. But I can definitely say that after 3 uses, the effect was less and my skin was smoother and clearer. I did notice the handpiece heated up in my hand, but not to the extreme. A privilege to be able to trial the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum, as I would never purchase, for fair of wasting money, but I hope this review gives others confidence to do so.

I was super excited to try this pore vacuum as I do have quite a few stubborn blackheads that I was keen to see the back of. Things didn’t start too well when the App wouldn’t work on my iPhone and I had to use hubby’s Android but I got there and the camera was all set up and ready. The camera is really good - so good it’s terrifying! You can certainly see all your congested pores and the dirt and grime that needs to be sucked away (yuk!). The disappointment then came when I discovered how difficult it is to actually vacuum your pores, even after steaming them open. I tried all of the nozzles but couldn’t seem to ‘easily’ (as the packet suggests) clear the congestion. There were a few blackheads removed (which is really satisfying to watch!) but for the most part I would have had to have gone over and over the same spot causing pain and skin damage. The tool doesn’t ‘glide’ over your skin as is insinuated so you have to be pretty careful to keep it moving - hubby had a go and ended up with a couple of bruises down the side of his nose….eek!! I felt anxiety testing this out as you are focusing on the camera and the super zoomed in view of your face so could easily be doing damage to your skin and not even notice til you looked in the mirror. I think the best attachment was probably the microdermabrasion fitting as it definitely removed dead skin, but my pores still remained clogged, so I’m not convinced by this products effectiveness. While it was fun to give it a whirl, I’m not sold and wouldn’t write home about it. I’ll leave it to the professionals I think

This Manicare Pore Vacuum with 4x attachments is an amazing product. I received in a light purple box well packaged, but do wish it came with a small carry pouch/case to keep everything in one place. I also downloaded the app which I would highly recommend, easy to connect to device and super simple to use, it magnifys x10 and OMG it was super gross at first you can see everything from hairs that need removing to the clearing out of pores, but satisfying to some. Can be used on 3 settings soft, normal and strong I honestly recommend starting at soft first to see if your skin can tolerate the suction as it has very great suction. DO NOT LEAVE ON SAME ARE FOR LONGER THAN 3 SECONDS, I left on my bridge of nose for 3.5 seconds and resulted in light bruising which only lasted a day thankfully its lockdown lol. Definitely open pores, I double cleansed than used the device straight after while my pores were open and results were much better. Easy sanitation after each use. It did say use alcohol free toner to skin but I just applied once treatment was complete. Amazing results days later from very oily skin and open pores to minimized pores, glowing skin and even skin tone thank you Manicare for an easy at home result that I'd receive at a normal salon, definitely worth the price, saving money on pore strips and pore cleansers and reducing waste just what i need.

I'd never used a pore vacuum before so didn't really know what to expect. This comes with 4 different nozzles which is made of a hard plastic, I thought it would be silicone. Easy enough to put on and take off. I downloaded the app so I was able to use the camera feature which makes things so much easier to see. I never knew how much oil was on my face but you can see that all through the camera. I tried the normal setting first, the more intense setting left bruises all over my face even though I did not leave it in place for more than 3 seconds. That was the only downside to this product. It did however remove blackheads around my nose and chin. Because of the shape of my nose it didn't seem to get much suction to that as it's not flat. And some places hurt more than others. But overall I will continue to use this every so often when needed.

When I first received this little gadget I was convinced it wouldn’t do much and would be another thing to live in my beauty graveyard. Holy moly how wrong was I!? This is the best thing I have used on my face to clear up congestion in a really long time. I have sensitive skin so I used the smaller nozzle of the 4 provided to begin with, and found it really easy to use. I wasn’t sure about the suction so started off on the soft intensity. Going over my nose it was equal parts fascinating and disgusting what was being sucked out of my face! Using the app to watch as you vacuum was definitely fun and I used the photo function to take before and after photos. The larger nozzle also felt fine on my face and made it easier to go over my cheeks and forehead. I didn’t feel there was any difference using the oval head, and the exfoliating one left my face feeling a little scratched and sore when I washed it the next morning. I found this vacuum was not only great for removing congestion, but also got rid of a LOT of the oil that had started to sit by the end of the day. Nozzles were super easy to clean, I used a cotton bud and a wet wipe to clean whilst using, then gave them a thorough clean under hot water and some cleanser after I’d finished with them. Device has a battery symbol on it, and I fully charged it when it arrived and have used it 8 times for 10-15 minutes each time and have still not moved off a full battery (currently at 93% on the app). Full charge takes around 3 hours and charging cable is a decent length. The app is basic, but does what it needs to do! It tells you what battery percentage you have left, takes photos and videos and is pretty user friendly. Camera is in the middle of the screen and takes up approximately 1/3 of the total screen.

Overall, so happy with the pore vacuum! I already have a list of people getting these for Christmas because I want everyone to try this out but am not willing to give mine over to anyone! Definitely buy this, you won’t be disappointed.

I was really excited about this, like really. But now I’m a bit reluctant to use it again… it’s a VERY cool concept but after using it a few times I’m wondering if it’s the type of treatment maybe best left to the professionals. The unit itself is very cool, sleek and shiny and the instructions are all very easy to follow. It’s very interesting to be able to see your skin up close (kinda horrifying too) and the overall unit is very innovative but despite constantly moving the unit like it instructs you to do, I have small bruises (like a hickey!) on my chin where the skin must have been more susceptible and the suction grabbed. I have used a few times to really give it a good run for its money and despite following the instructions regarding preparing the skin I don’t seem to have been able to get the extractions promised. There are a variety of nozzles to use, each for a promised effect however I found these to be much of a muchness, with the dermabrasion one quite abrasive. The app is very easy to navigate and it’s super quick to connect the unit to your phone, I like that you don’t have to be in a mirror to use it and the built in lights are great. The camera on the unit is very high quality and I actually found it more useful to identify and remove stray hairs. It’s a great gimmick but I don’t think this will be one on high rotation in my house.

Awesome concept! It is made very well with 3 settings. I wanted to stick to the lowest suction setting although I did find that my blackheads were more stubborn and I needed to increase the pressure. I did try it on my family as well and it worked better on others than me! Our skin types must differ as mine is on the dry side at the moment and it worked better on those with oily skin. With my drier skin - it didn’t seem to pull out my blackheads completely, only half way. The camera is really HD and really amazing to use even just to look at your skin! Easy to connect as well. Have always wanted to try one of these and now I am happy to have used this one! Great work to Manicare. It was super fun to try
