First impression was good, I loved the design on the side of the box, in a green/orange marine gradient. The packaging of the pump bottle was nice and easy to use, dispensing the right amount. The cleanser itself is the same creamy beige colour as the bottle. It has an organic natural smell, which while not unpleasant, wasn't pleasant either. I patched tested a few hours before to just ensure no issue. The cream was more like a lotion, and on the skin it almost takes the appearance of a silky foam cleanser without the foam, as opposed to a true cream cleanser. My skin felt clean after, and it removed my BB Cream and light make up well, however I had to use a bit to remove my lipstick. Washed off fine, skin felt nice.

Tips: Heavy make up may need a double wash.
Contemporary packaging signalling this is an eco friendly product, which is easily definable by size and description. This product comes in a 140ml pump bottle and each pump is a good amount of product, possibly a little too much. This item delivered what it said it would but the scent was a little off putting for me. The Cleanser was easy to apply and left my skin feeling clean but not tight.
Tips: Go easy on the pump, this bottle delivers a generous amount.
This really is a lovely cleanser to use. It was so gentle on my skin leaving it feeling clean, smooth and not tight at all. The pump bottle that it comes in is fantastic for use in the shower and while I thought the scent was a little strong, once using it, it was a light fragrance that didn't linger. I have really enjoyed using this cleanser for my dry skin and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a hydrating cleanser.
I came into this review with high hopes and it matched up pretty well. I love the clean design and packaging of these products. The pump put out just the right amount of product (I have been battling with one that was far too generous prior to eco skin). The product went on nice and smooth and made my skin feel lovely after I washed it off. One big downside was the smell. It wasn't horrible but definitely disn't scream luxury - it actually made me think hospital... not ideal
Recently my skin had an allergic reaction to something I used and so I hadn’t been using anything on my skin for a while so this was the perfect time to trail something new after the dust had settled.
Out of the 3 products this is probably the one I expected to think was just ok but it was amazing and this surprised me.
It was a gentle and great way to start using skincare again.
So they recommend doing a test patch which I usually do. I have sensitive skin and this has worked well for me. Perhaps it’s because it doesn’t have a lot of what a lot of other products have - parabens etc. Very gentle and mild. Didn’t hurt my eyes and it didn’t make my skin flare up. I found this much more effective than another brands natural cleansing product I’ve used - no comparison this actually worked cleansing my skin.
There was no product build up which is a problem I had when I used the goodness cleanser for example. It’s a beige cream cleanser that doesn’t really leather but it does spread well and it does wash. One pump was plenty. It smelt strong but I think that’s because I haven’t been using anything for a while but I adjusted quickly. It’s a floral scent that kind of reminds me of calendula??? Definitely similar to a calendula weldeda product I’ve used. I am not the biggest fan of that sort of scent but with something that’s good for your skin and more natural based beggars can’t be choosers. I’m prepared to let scent slide if I means I am being greener.
The pump bottle is really sleek. It definitely is my cup of tea - the packaging and pump bottles. Really nice look seeing the set lined up in the bathroom and spotting the subtle green differences in the lids for the different products.
In terms of effectiveness this cleanses and hydrates so I have to give it points for that. It doesn’t leave me dry and itchy like a lot of other cleaners I’ve used. I definitely could use this in the morning and didn’t have that urgent feeling of needing to moisturise. Night time it accompanied makeup removal and cleaning without overdrying. Eye makeup I would use this on a flannel with water to remove the stubborn mascara gently. I usually do this with any cleanser though.
Pleasantly surprised.
I have only tried a few Ecostore products before but nothing from their skincare range. So when I was selected for this trial I was super stoked. I started using the products as soon as they arrived.
The cleanser comes in a cardboard box which has all the ingredients and a stunning image on the side which is supposed to depict the Marlborough Sounds where the marine extract is sourced, very cool. It comes in a handy pump bottle with 140ml of product and is a light beige in colour.
It is quite thin and you definitely don't need to use much. I use this in the morning, I like to wet my face in the shower then massage this all over. It smells great and does a fantastic job at cleaning my face. I don't get any irritation at all and no horrible tight feeling. Just clean, fresh skin.
This is a lovely lightweight gentle but effective cleanser. A fantastic list of ingredients including calendula which is supposed to soothe irritated or inflammed skin. My skin looks amazing and that is thanks to this cleanser paired with the moisturiser and night cream. Love it!
Firstly, the packaging of this product is fantastic. It give a nice easy to use product. The cleanser doesnt come out all clumped. It comes out in a nice smooth texture and you can pump as much as you want out, but i wouldnt recommend going over board. You only need to use a little pump as it spreads onto your face quite easily. Its smooth silky texture feels good against your skin and the smell is quite refreshing and natural smelling. Easy to apply and easy to wash off. Makes your face feeling fresh and cleansed.
Tips: rinse face with luke warm water, apply cleanser then rinse off
I was very excited to try this cleanser as I wasn't a regular user of ecostore products, I was curious as I had heard great things about the brand. The packaging was nice and simple and I liked the pump on the bottle, the fact that it has a cap is great for traveling as it won't squirt everywhere. The first thing I noticed was the smell, I felt it was too strong and almost put me off using it. Once I got past the smell I felt the colour was odd, kind of a weird brown colour. Once I got past those issues the cleanser itself was nice, it didn't lather up too much but I felt that it left my skin clean and was not overly dry afterwards. If it didn't have the overpowering smell I would definitely use it again but the smell was just a bit much for me. Otherwise it does exactly what it says and me having sensitive skin I felt it was great for cleansing.
Tips: Used with both the moisturiser and night cream it felt great on my skin.
Firstly, Ecostore have done a great job on this packaging, I love the pump bottle. It stores easily and I can dispense the right amount of product with ease when washing my face.
The product is an unusual earthy colour and the mixture of ingredients (seaweed, avocado and blackcurrant to name a few) make for a very interesting, but not unpleasant, scent.
I massage this cleanser into my face (I’ve tried it with my fingers and with my skin sonic, both work great) then rinse with warm water.
I don’t have dry skin but my skin feels very supple and hydrated after using, so I can see why it is aimed at normal/dry skin.
Overall a great product that I would definitely repurchase.
Tips: Massage onto skin and rinse with warm water.
I was excited to try this as I do like to try and use eco friendly products. I love the look of the packaging although i find with pumps you loose out on the last little bit you can't get out of the bottle. It had an earthy fragrance with was unoffensive. My skin felt clean and refreshed afterwards. I'd use it again.
