This is the first time I've tried a Garnier Mask & my first tissue mask. It was very easy to use & entertained my 4 year old immensely! He thought it would make a great Halloween mask. Garnier haven't skimped on product. There was definitely enough to provide plenty of coverage. I loved the cooling sensation & would definitely use this mask if my skin was inflammed & itchy. My skin did look & feel lovely for the next 24 hours but I felt it could have been more moisturising-which is why I've only given 3 stars. Someone with younger skin would probably experience the sense of 'intense hydration' more than I did. I would recommend this mask for anyone with sensitive skin though as it really does feel nice on. In fact I was a bit reluctant to remove it after the 15 minutes as it felt so good. The fragrance is soft & powdery, nothing offensive at all & the packaging was both appealing & easy to open. Overall not a bad product for the price.

I was super excited to try this mask, so when the courier knocked on the door, I quickly picked up the item and ran to the couch to do my thing.
I opened the package, which is a really nice package and easy to open, and pulled out the mask. My goodness!! It is FULL of hydrating gel. I unfolded it and placed it on my face, following the very simple instructions. I found it a bit small around the eyes and it irritated my eyelashes on the outside corner of my eyes, just touched them and made it a little uncomfortable. I pealed off the blue plastic and adjusted the mask and watched tv for 15 mins!
Carefully pulled the masked off and there was so much gel on my face, I couldn't rub it all in, so again, following the instructions, wiped the excess off.
My face was cool and hydrated. It's now been 3 hours since I applied it and my skin feels so soft and there is no ghastly smell.
Tips: Don't panic if it's not quite right before taking off the blue part, once that part is gone, it's easier to adjust to your face and smooth out
I've used tissue face fasks before but from Korea so when I saw that Garnier had brought one out, I was definitely keen to try.
The mask came in a pretty pink pearl coloured packet which was easy to open as it had a slight tear at each end enabling you to open from both sides (great if one opens and the other doesn't).
Application - ummm now this I found pretty tricky to be honest as it was a bit hard to work with. You are supposed to apply the mask white side onto your face with the blue part face outwards. I patted the mask down and tried to smooth it out, but found this hard to do with the blue part still on. I tried to pull the blue part off, but struggled to find the area to pull it off but once found was able to remove. This made the mask so much easier to work with (perhaps I applied it incorrectly in the first place).
Once smoothed over (didn't understand what the two slits were for on the sides of the face, supposed to go over the ears or something? lol) it managed to sink into place. Apart from the mouth area which I found the slit was just a too tad small for my mouth. I must have a big mouth ha ha ha. I left it on for the recommended time of 15 minutes as instructed.
I removed the mask and followed the instructions on how to remove the residue moisture still on my face.
Results - did the mask hydrate like it said it would? Yes it did and I noticed that my skin looked a lot less red and calm as it states it would. So thumbs up for that.
Price is great too and I think I would need to try a few of these on a regular basis to really get a good idea as to how hydrating these are.
Would I rush out and buy one though? Not really, given the time it takes to apply it and the uncomfortable feeling of it on my face (I felt anything but relaxed with it on) it is not my idea of a "chill out and take a few minutes for myself' kind of session.. Although I'm super grateful and appreciative for the chance to try it. Thanks Beauty Review xx
Tips: There was quite a bit of liquid left over in the packet, so after I removed the brand new mask, I tipped out into a little pot which I will use at a later date. Hopefully this will give me a longer indication as to whether it would be good to purchase a few more.
I was excited to be chosen for this trial. I'm a big user of face masks and have quite a collection from clay to the Asian sheet masks (I was in Japan recently and did a giant stock up).
I didn't find this had a particularly strong scent but it was very gummy like when I pulled it out of the packet.
The mask itself is huge compared to sheet masks i'm used to except the eye holes were tiny which just didn't make sense to me.
It was also dripping in product which I found ran down my neck a wee bit while I left it on. All in all a nice hydrating mask but not the best i've used and i'm unlikely to purchase it myself as $4 for one mask is a bit steep in my opinion but could be nice for an occasion.
Tips: Use the excess product and rub it into your hands and neck
My trial sample arrived about five minutes after I got out of the shower so because I was freshly cleansed and exfoliated I did this mask right away, that way I could see what kind of results I would get from it even a week later. So I read the instructions which are simple enough: apply tissue side to your face, once patted down carefully peel off the blue side and leave on for 15 mins, then remove and either massage the contents into the skin or wipe off. Getting it out of the sachet was easy enough though I have to admit the gel went a bit everywhere which I was unprepared for but they definitely don't skimp on the ingredients with this. (I even managed to keep some of the gel that I squeezed out of the pouch) I've never used one of these masks before so getting it to sit on my face was a bit of a mission, but an educational one as I think I can do it a lot quicker now that I've had a go. (I pity the person trying to design something that fits everyones face perfectly lol) The only issue with the tissue mask is that it can be hard to get it to sit on your face properly and comfortably so I had to get a little creative as I wanted to get the most out of it. So I took it on and off a couple of times each time trimming bits off the eye, nose and mouth areas and just widening it very slowly until I got it sitting really well on my face, patting it down was easy enough. I've used soft masks in the past, and felt pretty similar to wear. I left it on for a bit longer and waited until it was only slightly damp to the touch before taking it off. I decided not to waste any of the product and just massaged in the left over gel on my skin. It felt slightly sticky for a while but absorbed into my skin well though it took a few hours to dry completely but hey I've suffered through worse in the sake of beauty so wasn't terribly inconvenient. The next day I spent most of it patting my face so a definite difference in my skin and found I didn't need to moisturise for a few days ( I intentionally avoided using a proper cleanser on my face to see how long it would last and just used warm water and a washcloth instead) Even my friends have said they could see a difference in my skin tone and for a few days I didn't have those lovely dry patches on my eyebows and nose, so I think I might be adding these to my cupboard as I'm quite a happy customer after trying it out. Will be getting some for girls night!!
Tips: If you are going to trim the mask like I did then I'd advise using nail scissors especially if you are goin to trim it while its on your face for obvious safety reasons but also due to the fact this is made from tissue and you don't want to rip it if you can help it, I will say though I did accidentally rip it but it had no issue still sticking to my face. If you are going to choose to massage the leftovers into your face I'd advise doing one of these maks at night as it might not go to well with makeup over top of it otherwise you'll get weird sticky powder patches.
I was really pleased to be selected to try this mask. With the change of winter to spring, my skin needed all the hydration it could get. It's great that Garnier is picking up on the Korean Sheet Mask vibe and giving us an easy option to try from the drugstore. Single portions mean that you don't have to buy the whole box. Currently I only see Neutrogena masks in our supermarkets, but sheet masks are available online just about everywhere.
I do have some high end products to help out with my dryness, so it was interesting to compare. My Lancome Sleeping Mask (which cost me an arm and a leg) was a good comparison for this product. Like the Lancome, this Garner has a smooth gel like consistency and really soaks into the skin. You could feel the goodness in it straight off, so I grabbed the blue mask protector and rubbed it all over my neck - I actually considered going further. Maybe next time.
Given it's for sensitive skin and contains chamomile, it was soothing and calming as I would expect. I left it on for 30 mins, as other masks I've used suggest that, before removing.
My skin felt smooth and glowing afterwards. I didn't wipe it off, instead leaving it on so that the product can dry. It may be a little sticky for some, but it feels amazing! I can compare this to the Lancome - ouch it hurts when I say that - and would stock up on these.
One tiny thing was that I felt the eye holes were a bit close together, but reading other reviews, it maybe that my face is gargantuan! haha
Tips: Don't waste any of the product. Rub it everywhere. the décolletage is often a neglected area so this will be an absolute treat for that area!!
I'm still very new to sheet masks, so I was super excited to try this! Upon taking it out of the packaging, I could tell that there was a lot of product on the mask. After placing the mask on my face and adjusting accordingly, i proceeded to remove the protective layer. I found this extremely hard to do, as there was so much product, It was quite difficult to remove and peel off. I was able to loosen up the edges around the nose area but in order to remove the protective sheet, I ended up having to take the mask off and peel it off. This was very messy! Afterwards, my skin felt very soft and supple and felt very clean and refreshed.
Tips: Make sure you loosen up the edges of the protective layer sheet, before putting onto your face.
I had an interesting experience with this product. The application was messy, I followed the instructions which required the mask to be gently unfolded and applied to the face and then the outer blue skin to be peeled off. I applied it fine but the blue skin stuck and peeled the whole mask off again leaving it in a floppy soggy paper mess. It was a little tricky but I got it back on my face to find the eyeholes weren't quite big enough to accomodate my eyes, but the surface of the mask was huge (little face, huge eye problems..) the mask was difficult to get stuck down around the contours of my nose bridge and didn't really fit, so I found it a little cumbersome. The moisture content was great and cooling, and when it was time to remove it there was still alot of residue to massage into my skin. Once it dried my skin felt very dry, tight and unpleasant so I had to rectify it by applying more moisturiser, which I don't think was the purpose of the treatment. The next day my skin broke out in tiny pimples, I am unsure if this was a latent reaction to whatever chemicals were in the mask, but I am sure this was not a desired outcome. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to trial this product but I think the alternative mask solutions (ie. apply with your fingers solution) works better for me.
The packaging was a foil sachet that was quite large and packed with information about the application technique and benefits of the product, the instructions despite my clumsy efforts were easy to follow and the benefits promised were good. However in my experience with the dryness and the breakout I didn't realise any of the benfits claimed. In all honesty I probably won't use this product again and will opt for the messy, more natural products in future. :)
This is a nice hydrating sheet mask, just nothing special. I only say this, because I’ve tried a gazillion sheet masks in my life even before they became a thing, used to order them in bulk from South-Korea and they evolved from cotton sheet masks to hydrogel sheet mask, they are much more moisturising and soothing on the skin, the western companies like Garnier took the hype from them, but didn’t get to the hydrogel evolution part just yet, I wonder how long it’s gonna take? It doesn’t irritate my skin, has enough serum in the packet, I usually rub the leftovers on my décolleté and into my hands, so I don’t waste any. My skin is nice and hydrated after using it, however I don’t like rubbing the leftover serums into my skin after removing the sheet, I always take the rest off with some cotton pad soaked in a facial toner and use my other skin products after. I think it’s worth the price if you’re getting it on special, not really for full price. Nice to stock up and have a couple sheet masks tucked away for pampering sessions for when life gets a bit stressful, to me these masks are just as much for my soul as well as for my skin.
I confess that i have NEVER, (never have I ever) used a Tissue Mask before ...well up until now.
So when this fascinating piece of machinery appeared on my doorstep promising hydration and refreshment of my skin in 15 minutes, being an impatient person I was all up for it.
When I opened the pack you find the mask itself folded in two, and it's literally soaked in liquid. You unfold it, peel the backing paper off and smooth it on your skin.
My first reaction was 'my oh my' it feels so cooling on your skin and when you smooth it around your face it feels amazing.
I amused myself while I was waiting by checking some emails and drinking a cup of tea with my glasses on. What a picture! Even the dogs took a second glance!
When I removed it after 15 minutes, my skin just felt amazing, plumped up, hydrated and most important of all - my sleep deprived under eye bags, were almost completely gone.
I've gotta say...i'm a convert. And at under $5 i'll be stocking up. I can see my self using it on those Sunday mornings when you 'may' be a wee bit tired from the night before and just want to relax. It's a yes from me!
Tips: I'm not sure why some people say they find it difficult to apply. Just follow the mask design and don't forget to smooth it out across your skin.
