I was really excited to try the Sugar Baby Get Glowing Glow drops! I’ve never used tanning drops before and was surprised by how easy to apply they are and the glowing result I got! I mixed 3 drops into my moisturiser and applied, then buffed it in with a tanning mitt to ensure a streak free finish. I liked how natural the glow was, it added colour but didn’t look too full on. It was a subtle natural looking tan that was easy to build up over the week. It didn’t look orange, didn’t streak and it didn’t have the faux tan smell which some of the products I’ve used the past have had. I liked that it didn’t stain clothing, so it was easy to apply in the morning after a shower and get dressed without worrying about clothing turning orange! I also added a drop to my face moisturiser as well, and buffed it in to my face, neck and hair line. I’ve loved the overall result and it’s much nicer than a gradual tan moisturiser. The packaging is cute and the dropper is easy to use. The tan looks natural, and even mum wanted to know what I’d been using. Will definitely repurchase to top my natural tan up in summer!

Tips: Applies and soaks in better on freshly washed and exfoliated skin. Use a tanning mitt to buff after applying as this will help reduce streaking and give an even coverage. Choose a moisturiser that works for your skin which soaks in easily as this will help the tan soak in too.
This product will be an absolute re purchase for me! I love mixing it with my moisturizer as it give's my skin such a nice glow all day and still very light weight. I love the fact i can add a couple more drops for the extra tint and glow, It also works well mixed in with my foundation but i have found i don't even need to wear foundation i with this! and having sensitive skin i have had absolutely no issues with this at all
Tips: Start with a few drops in moisturiser and add more as desired but 3-4 seems to give me personally the best skin glow
I'm on the fence about Sugar Baby Glow Drops. I used this 2 times during the trial period. The first time I mixed 3 drops with my face serum. Was easy to mix and apply, initial smell was a lovely light coconut scent but a couple of hours later all I could smell was that awful fake tan smell! It lingered for hours and even the next day! I couldn't wait to wash my face. Second time I mixed 5 drops as the colour was not overly noticeable on my pale skin but it ended up being the same result as the initial try. I would really like to say I loved it but I just didn't. I think I prefer the proper self tanning foam that gets washed off hours later and you're good to go.
Tips: Defintely use on exfoliated skin.
I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but these really didn't do much for me at all. I've tried both ways suggested - both mixed with moisturiser, and on their own - and seen very little result. Even when I did see results (after using on their own 3 days in a row), the glow very soon washed off! I was really looking forward to this one, so am pretty gutted that it just didn't do that trick for me. Consistency of the product is great, it takes up much less space than the traditional self-tan tubes and pump bottles, and the smell is less intense than other products I've tried - but alas, the results are also less intense :-( I'm quite pale so I expected even a little tint would be a difference, but I'm just not seeing it! Surely a faulty batch?!
Tips: I did feel like I got more of a result by using without moisturiser and 1-2 x per day for a few days, so perhaps needs to build over a week or two
I was excited to review the SugarBaby Get Glowing Glow Drops as it sounded like a relatively effortless way to get a glowing, lightly tanned complexion.
I decided to trial the drops on my face to start with. The application was easy due to the dropper bottle and I mixed 4 drops with my night time facial moisturising mask. The scent was pleasant, and the product absorbed well due to its light texture.
The next morning I awoke to a self tanned and radiant skin, it looked a little darker than I anticipated which means that next time I will use only 1-2 drops for my face. Great that it is highly concentrated, as it makes the product good value due to the bottle lasting for longer. I would recommend these for an easy way to self tan the face as the drops can be mixed with your regular cream or serums.
Tips: I would recommend starting with 1-2 drops for the face, especially if you have a lighter skin complexion. I started with 4 drops which make my fair-medium skin quite dark.
I have tried many many products so I can honestly say for me this did what it promised. Firstly it does not have any after smell, so after applying you are not left with a tanning smell. It does not leave streaks. I am quite pale so it has certainly taken the paleness away and leaves an even glow. Depends on the price point if I would purchase it again, as the jar is relatively small. But it is the first product that does not leave streaks or turn orangey.
Tips: Wash hands immediately after, and ensure if you are wearing a ring when applying that you remove, or you'll end with a tan ring.
I've used various types of self-tanning products in the past - spray, oil, mousse, cream, lotion, and gradual tanning lotions - but this product has got to be one of the most disappointing.
The first time I used it, I shaved, moisturised, and then applied three drops into the palm of one hand, rubbed my hands together and applied it to one leg, repeating on the other side. I went to bed, hoping to wake up with glowing skin. It did not happen. I got up the next morning and my legs looked exactly the same as they had before.
I have fair skin, very fair skin, so even one application of a gradual tanning moisturiser usually makes it look like I have a tan. My husband even asked if I'd forgotten to apply the drops the night before. I tried again, this time using four drops per leg, but adding it to to the moisturiser before applying it to my legs. I woke up the next morning with the faintest hint of colour.
I tried a third time, this time moisturising before applying six drops to each leg. Six drops should make a big difference, or so I thought. Not really. I have a very faded looking tan.
To be honest, I get a better colour payoff with a gradual tanning lotion with the same application. I'm starting to wonder how many drops of this product I'd have to use on my legs to look like I have a tan with each application? 16? 20? 26? And as $27 per 40ml bottle, it could start getting expensive.
I definitely won't be purchasing this product in future, and would not recommend it.
Tips: Don't waste your money on this product. There are better dry oil self-tanning products on the market.
I was quite excited to try these drops as after winter, my skin looked pale and tired and needed a bit of a boost. Comes in a handy wee bottle that can easily fit into your toilet bag when travelling. It has a hint of the self tan smell combined with coconut. Very easy to use, I have just been adding a couple of drops to my serum in the mornings. Goes on really easily and does actually make your face look healthier and glowing.. Don't use too many drops as I did on the first day as the more drops, the darker the tan. You don't want it contrasting too much with the rest of your body. I have also been adding to my body moisturiser in the mornings and have noticed my skin has a definite tanned look. Would use again, I notice when I don't use it my skin doesn't look as even.
Tips: Make sure you don't use too much and blend it in well and evenly.
This sugar baby product is incredible for a little bit of a sunkissed glow without using fake tan. Super helpful for a busy time poor mum. It’s so easy to use putting 2-3 drops in with my moisturiser every couple of days to keep up the glowy look. The coconut really helps keep the skin hydrated and the skin does not dry out with this product.
Tips: Use 2-3 drops in the morning with moisturiser for a perfect glowy look throughout the day.
I was so looking forward to this trial as I am white. Not cream, not light brown, white. So self tan has been my life since I was a teenager, I’ve seen it all, from the orange skin to the patchy coloured skin in my endeavours to get some sort of colour onto my skin. In the sun I burn a nice bright pink before going back to white again. As the warmer days are coming I am looking at my legs and though it’s been great using them as a glowing white light to get me to the toilet at night it’s time to start looking at self tanners again. This one sounded so nice. I shaved and moisturised as stated before rubbing the oil in. It smelled lovely of coconuts and went on easily. I eagerly went to bed hoping to wake up to coloured legs that I could show off. In the morning I searched for any hint of colour, hmm maybe a slight hint of colour if I turn my legs this way and that? Well they look well hydrated anyway but was that my moisturiser or the oil? Hard to tell. So I applied some more this morning and waited impatiently for time to go by. Still maybe only a slight colour change, maybe….so my final thoughts are maybe it builds up very gradually. If you are looking for nice brown skin it’s not this. The search continues. Also the size of the product is small so maybe only for use on the face not my legs. It sounds great and smells great but doesn’t do what I wanted it for. Back to the drawing board for me….. or shall I say, the white board…..
Tips: Maybe use it solely on the face for a little extra something something. It also may build up better over time, but using the whole bottle to try get one tan, not reasonable
