This gel emulsion was great in the morning as it was light weighted. But the great thing of this product stopped there. It was too sticky and I felt like my skin didn’t absorb it thoroughly but rather the gel emulsion was being a “barrier” between my skin and the product thereafter (often being my sunscreen). This gel emulsion; though; somehow was a great primer (in a way) for my face.
After giving this product 5 nights(!) I decided that this was definitely not for PM. Similar to lotion, you can’t layer this for spots where you want extra moisture. It doesn’t even feel all “absorbed” into my skin which should be really easy for gel type lotions anyways.
I was lucky enough to be selected in the trial team for this product alongside the Radiant Energy Lotion. The first thing I noticed about this product was the packaging. As I have also noticed with other Estee Lauder products is that while the jar is quite big, there is a lot of plastic. This creates an illusion that there may be a lot of product inside but it actually doesn't hold a lot which is disappointing for the price tag. I used this product as a moisturiser after using the energy lotion as a toner. It had quite a thin, watery consistency which I was expecting given it uses the word "water" in the description. It glides on really easily and I only needed to use a small amount to cover my whole face. It has a very pleasant, sweet scent and feels gentle on the skin. It absorbs well, leaving the skin well moisturised. I can't say I noticed my skin looking any more radiant than usual, but I do think this product is really nice as a light day cream. I am looking forward to seeing if there are any long term benefits from using this product.
