Olay Miracle Boost and Micro Sculpt Duo Review

As a duo, these products worked really well together. I have done separate reviews for each product. They did give me a little skin irritation to start with but I couldnt tell you which products did that, but pretty sure it was the moisteriser as the perfume was quite high.

I really enjoyed using both these products and although my fine lines and wrinkles are still there (boo hoo) I did like how they both hydrated and evened out my skin tone as well as giving it a bit of a brightening boost, nice!

As far as packaging, I had trouble getting into both products. To start with not being able to figure out how to get lids off was a bit of a hassle and with one, nearly made me give up but once I'd had that aha moment it was all good, lol.

Very happy with these two products, they will last a long time if you dont use too much so I think the price is reasonable, although, I would probably wait till Farmers had a sale before re-purchasing these.

Wow to be truthfully honest I am super stoked with these two amazing products. The pre essence is definitely my favourite of the two because it absorbed almost instantly. It minimised my large pores straight away. They both have a pleasant fragrance. The pre essence is a clearer substance and the face cream is white. Both feel amazing on the skin. Refreshing and hydrating. I would definitely buy them again but as you only need such a small amount I can see mine lasting a long time.

These two products are part of a set of 4 but can be used individually as well. Both products are packaged very elegantly in gorgeous red containers. The serum has a neat pump in the lid to draw the product up and ensures you get just the right amount each time. The cream is in a regular pot, nothing is supplied to scoop it out so you'd need to have your own if you didn't like using fingers.

Both products work well together and are easy to apply. The serum is so light that adding the cream on top does not feel like you have too much product and still absorbs well. For a person who is used to this sort of regimen these products would be great, they did make my skin brighter and so smooth but I feel it was too short a time to tell if they will reduce wrinkles, repair and slow ageing affects as stated on the box. My skin is quite sensitive and not keen on a lot of product too often, I found using both twice a day a bit much. While I had no reaction which was great I felt if I kept going using both twice a day I was going to have a huge break out. So I cut down to just morning and washed it off at night. So while my face still benefited from using it this may be why I didn't see the full effect.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream. I have normal skin with a few mid-30’s wrinkles around my eyes and on my forehead, and I’m usually a little neglectful of a proper skin care regime as I’ve taken it for granted enjoying pretty good skin condition so far. However I have been looking for an affordable and effective skin care products to slow the signs of ageing I’m starting to see, and keep my skin in the good condition it’s currntly in, and that I can enjoy using.

I think I’ve found this in these products. Firstly they’re affordable and accessible, being found in supermarkets. They both have a lovely fragrance which is important to me - I want to enjoy using the products! And most importantly, they have delivered effective results for me over the last few weeks. I can see my skin is smoother, brighter, and more even.

The Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence claims to renew cells, visibly reduce wrinkles, and firm skin. The Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream claims to visibly reduce pores, improve texture and radiance, as well as visibly reducing wrinkles, and firming skin. The only thing I didn’t notice was a reduction in my pores, but my skin definitely looks fresher, wrinkles appear to be minimised and fewer, and even though I’ve suffered from a lack of sleep over these last few weeks no one has said I look worse for it, so perhaps these products are compensating for my lack of sleep and keeping me looking great!

In terms of the use of the products, I loved the texture of the essence, you only need one dropper “squirt” not the recommended two, and it absorbed in nicely. I noticed a bit of residue for the first few days but this went away, just make sure you don’t use too much, and allow it time to absorb before putting on the microsculpting cream. I love the bottle. I initially thought the dropper was a bit gimmicky but it’s actually really well designed and the packaging looks modern and sleek.

The cream is luxuriously thick, and while I did have a few small breakouts initially I think this was skins shock at being given such rich products after not having used anything near as creamy for a while. My skins after the few weeks’ use is spot-free. I used a new foundation during this trial which combined with winter temperature changed dried my skin out, but after using these Olay products the dryness went away within a day.

A little goes a long way with both of these products and that make them even more appealing, they’re definitely a worthwhile investment at a great price, and while I don’t think Ive had ten years knocked off the appearance of my skin, I’m sure with more use the benefits I’ve seen to date will only continue to grow. Definitely recommend and would buy again!

I tested both serum and cream combined on one side of my face and the back of the corresponding hand and the cream alone on the other side (face and hand) to see if the claims of increased effectiveness with the serum could be true.

The serum is seriously brilliant! From the genius applicator cap to the sheer effectiveness of the clear gel in improving outcomes you will not regret adding this approx $30 little goodie to your cupboard.

Both serum and cream are rapidly absorbed so there's no lingering cold, damp sensation (I hate that feeling when the weather's cold). They also don't seem to transfer to clothing etc once they've been absorbed.

Unusually, there is a fine powdery feel from around 30-60 minutes after absorption. I wonder if this fine powder is the method being used to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

In combination with the serum I noticed the brightening the advertising refers to.

With the cream alone I didn't notice any brightening. However, to be fair I would have to repeat the experiment using no cream on one side and cream alone on the other. It's likely that the cream alone side appeared dull in comparison to the side which had been very noticably brightened by the duo.

There is no doubt that the cream alone does what it claims to do. But it does so extraordinarily more effectively when used in combination with the serum. (Did I mention how much I love this serum?)

Used the Olay Miracle boost and Micro sculpt duo with awesome results. Skin feels naturally soft and supple. Skin is brighter and skin tone evened out. Both products are easy to apply and the Olay Miracle boost dropper endures the amount applied is consistent. Used both twice a day and was able to apply my foundation really well over product.

Firstly the container for the Miracle Boost Youth Pre Essence has a dropper. I love the "pump dropper" bottle as it dispenses just the right amount of serum with no waste The container has a screw top so when you’re getting to the last of the product, you’ll be able to unscrew the top and get every last drop out before disposing of it. The container can be recycled which is a huge tick for me as well. The serum is super silky and glides over my skin really nicely. It seemed like it instantly made my skin look like it was glowing. I let the serum sit on my skin for a couple of minutes to allow it to soak in before applying the Micro Sculpting cream over the top of the serum. I feel that my skin looks and feels better since using the serum, combined with the cream. The container for the Micro Sculpting Cream is my favourite which is a jar style. This means it’s super easy to get out the exact amount you want to use and you can get every last drop of the cream out of the jar before disposing of it. The container can be recycled which is a huge tick for me as well. I used the Miracle Boost serum, before applying the Micro Sculpting cream. The Micro Sculpting cream has a pleasant scent. It feels like a thick cream, but not so thick that it felt gluggy. It just felt more like a night cream. It went on over the serum really nicely and made my skin instantly look like it was glowing and hydrated. I have pigmentation on my skin caused by the sun and after using the cream for just 3 weeks, I do feel that my pigmentation had become slightly lighter. I will certainly carry on using it to see if it continues to lighten my pigmentation. I feel that my skin looks and feels better since using the cream. The only comment I would make is that when I apply my usual foundation over the top of the serum and cream, it doesn’t seem to blend into my skin properly. It starts flaking off. I’m not sure if this is the serum or the cream causing this problem. Overall, I do like this product and will use it again.

" Olay regenerist micro-sculpting cream" and " Olay regenerist miracle boost youth pre-essence" Duo really surprised me. I am 53 years old and I have mature skin's problem. I have been trying this Duo products for two weeks and my skin looked obviously firmer and hydrated. My whole face complexion improved. Especially on my draw line ( firmer ) and the pores around my nose became smaller the smoother. Before I started using these Duo products, I thought they might leave on my skin greasy and sticky. To my surprise it didn't happen like that! They were not oily at all. They just made my skin feel moist and dewy. Everyday I just couldn't wait to use them. I highly recommend these Duo Olay anti-aging products to every woman that has mature skin.

I was lucky enough to trial this duo on my 50+ skin, and I would certainly continue to use these products.

The Miracle Boost Youth Pre-essence absorbs quickly into the skin without stickiness. Follow this with the Micro sculpting cream which is silky and rich without being greasy or heavy.

Within a week I noticed the exfoliating properties of these products, leaving my skin soft and smooth.

After 4 weeks trialling these products I did not notice a difference to my wrinkles, or jowls, but my skin does appear more hydrated and healthy. With time there may be a difference to these areas.

I would certainly recommend this duo to other people.

I used the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Face Cream together in the mornings and before bed for three weeks.

They come in matching posh red and silver packaging, which makes it looks very high end and matches their quite high price.

Together the products make a good duo as the pre-essence acts like a primer for the moisturiser, making it go on more smoothly and absorbing into my skin better. I trialled the best length of time to apply the two products and found that leaving the essence to dry for about 30 seconds was ideal. Too soon and it seemed too wet for the cream, but longer than that it seemed to have dried too much and the cream didn't apply as smoothly.

Using the products together my face felt more hydrated and smooth. However I didn't see any visible signs of reducing wrinkles (though I may need to use it for more than three weeks to see real results).

Because the cream doesn't have sun protection and the two step process seems a bit much for my busy mornings, I will start using this just at night before bed.
