I'm reasonably content with this cream cleanser as a morning cleanser. It's not to thin, the cap doesn't leak and I like the gentle natural ingredients. It has this interesting sort of parsley like smell which took a bit of getting used to but it's not on my face for very long. It does a good job of cleansing my face first thing in the morning but not the best job of removing my makeup. I still have heaps left on my skin and especially my eyes that I need to remove with an oil cleanser. If I am going to remove my makeup prior to washing my face I prefer to use a wipe or micellar water on a cotton pad as that seems to remove makeup efficiently. I would repurchase this if it was on sale because I've gotten used to the smell. That being said I'm not picky about basic natural cream cleansers that I use to cleanse my face with in the morning. I find most natural cleansers do the same easy job.

Tips: The smell came as a surprise to me so if you haven't used this before I would recommend going to a store with a tester and giving it a sniff. If you are buying this to remove your makeup I wouldn't recommend this, micellar water is gentle and much cheaper and more efficient for that.
I absolutely love this cleanser for everyday use. It is super creamy and gentle on the skin, and it always leaves my skin feeling clean and nourished without being stripped away. There is nothing worse that a cleanser that leaves your skin dry and tight, this does quite the opposite. I can be prone to oiler skin but this does such a good job keeping me balanced. It's not the toughest however and if I am wearing heavy makeup a double cleanse is required but I like to use the break up make up balm and follow with the cream cleanser. The packaging is nothing flash, but its functional and works. Dont love that it has a screw cap lid as it can be a bit fiddly. I have just finished my first bottle and will definitely repurchase.
This cleanser is so good it even removed waterproof 24 hour foundation, lipstick you name it it gets it off...It leaves no greasy or oily residue, my skin feels beautiful and glowing and clean, it's great for combination skin. The only downside is it's a bit irritating and hard to remove mascara or eye liner with. I like how it's made in New Zealand and good for the planet with natural plant deprived ingredients
Tips: Use it with a wet flannel or on wet skin
After having a skin flare up and visiting my dermatologist he said to ease back into using anything on my skin. He said avocado oil is a good starting point so I started with that and then anything else that had avocado oil as an ingredient. Along with my avocado oil by another brand.. this range was my pick. After using a sample of the chia oil and loving it I purchased the set of goodness skincare.
I am a huge fan of the chia seed oil so I had high expectations for everything else. Including the cleanser. It was pleasant smelling, not too strong - quite fresh not fruity more cucumber like. The cleanser came out easily in a creamy consistency. The tube is a generous size and so good value for money. Wipes across skin like a cream which is good for not ending up in your eyes.
But..... the problem I have with this cleanser is that I feel it doesn't cleanse my skin that well when wearing makeup. BB cream or full make up - it doesn't matter but it definitely alters the effectiveness of this cleanser as it leaves the makeup on the skin. It doesn't remove it so it can't actually get to the skin to cleanse. Even cleansing twice as it recommends for panda eyes doesn't work for me.. I'm still left with a film over my skin. No makeup - no problem it does the job leaving the skin clean. So I definitely recommend using a wipe prior.
Apart from that it has great ingredients that my sensitive skin can get away with using which is a bonus. Will definitely finish the tube but am not too sure about repurchase. I love the rest of the goodness range so it's a shame.
Tips: Remove makeup prior to use.
I got this in the beauty vault as I didn't want to spend my money on something with mixed reviews.
As per its name, this cleanser is great for everyday cleansing. It is a rich, creamy texture with a soft, natural smelling botanical scent. The instructions state to massage onto wet skin and rinse off.
I always make sure to remove my eye makeup with micellar water and cotton pads or a makeup wipe before cleansing to be more thorough. If I am wearing heavy makeup I will use an oil or balm cleanser before using this, but if it's just my everyday makeup (bit of concealer, blush, bronzer and sunscreen) I will go straight in with this after removing my eye makeup.
I love the feeling of massaging this cleanser onto my skin. It feels really luxurious and moisturising. After rinsing it off, my skin feels soft and hydrated, not stripped or tight. This cleanser does leave a very slight film on your skin, but in a good way, i.e. does not feel pore clogging, just a nice layer of moisture. For this reason I feel that it would not be good at removing heavy makeup alone.
I have normal/combination skin that becomes dry easily around my mouth and nose, and find that this cleanser helps to balance my skin and prevent dryness but simultaneously reduce oil production on my nose and forehead due to the supplementary moisture. With this cleanser I don't find that I have to apply another product straight after cleansing like I normally do, my skin does not immediately feel tight.
It comes in a 150ml tube so I can go ahead and be generous with application. It also has a 6 month shelf life, shorter than most cleansers, so it may be a good thing to be generous!
Makes my skin happy, makes me happy, will repurchase :)
Tips: Best for normal/dry skin, could potentially be pore-clogging for oily/acne prone skin as it does leave a layer of moisture on the skin.
After seeing all the ads and reading reviews on BR, I had high hopes for the Goodness range. I was so excited to try this product, I like how the packaging is really cute and can be recycled- double points! I have been using this cleanser for over a month and it feels creamier than other cleansers. The scent is kind of cucumber-ish and a bit weird for me but the product cleanses fairly well and actually better than the Evolu, Sukin and Natio cleansers I've used before. So all in all, I will finish this product but I probably won't repurchase this due to the scent and also because I like a runnier texture for my cleanser. I think the hype pushed my expectations a bit too high.
The best thing about this cleanser is the fragrance! It smells a bit like cucumber, nice and refreshing. It's also a decent size for the price - but if you're like me, you'll wish the tube was smaller so you could hurry up and get it over and done with. This was the first cream cleanser I've tried and I never will again. It just doesn't seem to work! It didn't dissolve my makeup, it definitely took more than two goes to get rid of eye-makeup, and it left my skin feeling coated and icky. I'm too broke not to finish the tube, but I'm definitely counting down to the end.
Tips: Use wipes first. Then use the cream cleanser and scrub it all off with a flannel. Or, buy anything else.
I got this in the Beauty Vault and was very happy as I was looking for a new cleanser to remove makeup before using my ProActic face wash.
I really have liked it. It’s natural, creamy, doesn’t upset my very temperamental skin at all (which is hard to find) and takes off my makeup like I wanted it to.
Tips: To remove all makeup and really clean the skin you’d have to use it twice.
I found that this cleanser is really refreshing to use. It certainly does not strip your skin of all its natural oils and goodness but rather cleans enough of the impurities away which make your skin dull and tired. I like to use this product at night before I go to bed, and it is best applied after a hot towel to the skin so that your pores are open. I know a few people who use it everyday so its not too harsh on skin or strong!
I've used quite a few from the Goodness range, and was excited to try this cleanser! I am a sucker for products I can buy from the supermarket as part of our fortnightly shop!
Its a nice cleanser, but it is not really suitable for make up or a deep clean. It is quite light weight, and I find it never removes my mascara properly. I would use it twice when I wore make up and used a face cloth as well but will still end up with mascara on my towel!
It's great for people who need a light cleanse, or even a young person starting out with a routine, but I wouldn't suggest for make up wearers or people who need a deep cleanse.
Tips: Use it twice when you wear make up!
