As a user of high end skincare (and we're talking an anti ageing moisturiser that costs over $150 per pop) I was somewhat sceptical about the claims for this. Could it live up to it's higher priced counterpart? I was eager to find out!
This product comes in a pump bottle which I like as you're not sticking your fingers in the jar. What initially looks like a label with graphics of wee yellow pearls, actually turns out to be the product itself. You pump out your product and you can actually squish the little balls in your hand. I've been using this product for 2 weeks now and I can honestly say that it gives my higher end product a run for it's money (and more). It absorbs quickly and I can definitely see a noticeable decrease in the wrinkles around my eyes and I can honestly say...my skin has never looked better!
The only downside for me is the fragrance, i'm not sure what it smells of but it's not my cup of tea at all. Nivea has such an iconic fragrance associated with it's original cream and its body lotions that i'm intrigued as to why they feel they need to move away from this into something else in the face care products..but hey..I can live with it for the results it delivers.
So the answer to the question of will I be trading in my $150 moisturiser for this? Hell yes!
I am so, so, so in love with this serum! When it arrived in the top rated BBBE I was a wee bit intrigued thinking how does this work? I could see these wee yellow balls inside the tube, first thought was ahh they're just decoration and the clear looking serum comes out. Haha no, that's not what happens!
The clear tube has a pump top lid I pump out two pumps and watch to see what happens ah ha it crushes the small pearl balls as it comes out! How cool is that I thought, I'm pretty sure I have never used a product like that before. I start massaging it into my face and watch as the rest of the crushed pearls sink into my skin and leave no trace of what they once were. It has a slight floral musk scent I must admit I'm not overly fussed it does smell kind of umm nana-ish.
I first used this at night time mainly because of the curiosity. As soon as I had massaged it into my face my skin looked almost brighter, but I wasn't going to get over excited too quickly as too many times I use something then gradually it loses its magic.
I had been using a very expensive *cough cough* several hundred dollars serum and to be honest it wasn't doing much, I didn't think a cheaper supermarket serum would do a lot but holy moly I'm wrong, so very very wrong! I've been using this for several weeks now and every time I put it on at night my skin looks fresh and even in the morning it still looks fresh. It doesn't leave any oily or sticky residue which is another reason I love this. It leaves my skin ready for moisturiser, and makes my moisturiser absorb that wee bit quicker.
I love this serum and it is easily better than the several hundred dollar serum and I will repurchase.
