CeraVe Moisturising Cream

When I received my CeraVe moisturising cream my teenage daughter gushed. She had heard great things. I was quite sceptical. I have good skin for a woman pushing 50, apart from my hands and find many creams slide off the minute I get hot. I used it after a shower in the morning and before bed. My verdict: It is lovely. I don't sweat it off, it does what a good product should. My husband even noticed a difference on my hands which is no mean feat. So is it gush worthy? Probably not. But it is certainly worth using and I will continue to use it.

I don't even know where to start with this review! I was luckily enough to be selected in a trial team for this product, and I'm so glad that I was, because I am not sure I would have discovered this moisturiser if I wasn't.

My classic gripe with cream based moisturisers is that they always feel clammy. Like they just sit on your skin and never *truly* absorb, and of course your skin doesn't feel dry, because it's clammy instead. Enter, CeraVe.

I want to RAVE about this. Why? - It's unscented. Don't get me wrong, I like a nice scented moisturiser. But sometimes you find a great product, and it smells like your nan's overbearing potpourri, which ruins it for you. It's safer to smell like nothing. - It's so affordable. $16.99, are you kidding me? No elaboration needed. It's also rolling out to Chemist Warehouse which means it's accessible (does anyone else loathe paying for shipping?!) - It's gentle. I have sensitive, dry and dehydrated skin. No product based itchiness here. - It works. I am admittedly useless at moisturising anything other than my face. My poor legs are the polar opposite of baby smooth. After only couple of liberal applications of this moisturising cream, they're pretty darn soft. If I manage to persevere with application... watch out leg models! - The absorbency. It dries down completely, zero dreaded clamminess. Even my hands feel ridiculously smooth and soft from having applied this to other body parts. - I'm currently pregnant and have brought expensive belly oils to hydrate my growing bump. I actually prefer to rub this on my belly and hips, it feels so much nicer.

I have the 170g squeezy bottle which is fine, but the larger sizes being in tubs is a bit lame. I hope they release it in a big pump top bottle!

I received CeraVe Moisturising Cream through beautyreview.co.nz and was excited to try it as I have quite dry areas on my face and body and had yet been able to find a moisturiser that really suits my needs. I firstly noticed that this states on the front of the bottle that you can use on your face as well was a bonus. I like the simplicity of the packaging, the easy to use inverted bottle and opener and the thick consistancy of this cream which made it easy to apply. A little goes a long way here. I can imagine this product to be very cost effective for that reason alone. I was first dubious about it being frangrance free, as many products either smell horrible but work well or smell amazing but feel awful, but that quickly changed with how smooth and non-greasy this cream felt after use. I absolutely love this on my hands and my feet as they are undoubtedly the driest areas on my body. As a cleaner, my hands become very dry and this cream is the absolute best I've used! The winner here was the remarkable difference on my feet. The dried and cracked edges are now noticeably smoother, just after a week of daily use. Unfortunately this product made my face feel oily, even though I only used it very sparingly after washing it, so it defintely is not suitable for my normal/dry face. Also I noticed that is does not state anywhere on the bottle that it is cruelty free, which is disappointing. I would purchase CeraVe Moisturising Cream purely to use on my hands and feet alone and would recommend it to anyone who struggles with dry extremities.

Dont you just love getting a product which actually does what it says it will do. Like it fulfils ot promises and delivers?

I've been using CerVe for the past week and a bit, only on my body especially elbows, knees, feet and hands (especially these days when it seems you are sanitizing every living second). CeraVe wasn't greasy, easily absorbed and a little goes along way, so this tube is going to last a while!

My skin texture improved and dry patches are going, especially on my feet! Thank you summer and those barefoot days. Sigh! I've never used the ceramides on my skin yet, or hydraulic acid, where have I been? And I feel that these magical little mysteries of miracles worked their magic.

I'm going to continue using CeraVe to obtain and even improve on the results I'm currently getting.

I've been looking for a simple moisturiser that will hydrate my skin, be scentless and actually make a difference. CeraVe Moisturising Cream ticks all the boxes.

The packaging is super simple - a white squeeze tube with blue, grey and black design that states it will help restore the protective barrier of the face and body with three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid.

The product is a very thick cream, and I was a little concerned it would be too rich for my face. It quickly became apparent I had nothing to worry about, as the product sunk into my face quickly, wasn't sticky, and as the hours passed my skin felt nourished but not oily or heavy.

Makeup went on wonderfully after using it on my face, and on the days I didn't wear makeup I felt like my skin looked really lovely - glowy and fresh. I don't know much about ceramides, but the three CeraVe use do something great to the skin.

I also used this on my legs, arms and chest and found it really nourished my skin and helped my skin look more plump and hydrated.

I can see me purchasing this moisturiser over and over again. It's a new favourite.

This moisturiser does exactly what it says, isn’t greasy or oily looking on the skin and absorbs so nice! I have quite sensitive skin and have to be careful with what products I use - this product didn’t irritate me at all or cause any new acne. Although I do like a scented moisturiser I need to use something that actually works for my skin and I can deal with that! My partner gets quite dry skin with his line of work so I also tried this on him and his skin feels so nice! Like a baby’s bottom. I especially like using this underneath my foundation as it doesn’t leave your skin looking oily and my foundation sits really nice on top. I am also a makeup artist and am especially looking forward to showing new clients this product and trying it out on them! Especially anyone with quite dry skin! Packaging wise it’s quite simple and boring and I probably wouldn’t grab it off the shelf, but knowing what it does and how good it actually is I can now educate others. I also used this on my hand and oh my, they felt amazing! Using so much hand sanitiser drys me out so bad at the moment and this instantly made my hands feel super soft! Winters coming, my skin usually dries out quite bad so I’m looking forward to using this over my whole entire body!

If you want your skin to look good, take care of it! It’s really not hard and this product can definitely help with that. It definitely makes me want to look more into this brand on what other products they have.

So happy CeraVe finally came to NZ! I've always wanted to try it. As someone with pretty dry, sensitive skin, I'm always looking for simple, gentle moisturizers. This is my new favourite.

It's creamy and easy to apply. Quite thick but without being overly rich or hard to spread. For drier skin it's like a drink for your skin! I enjoyed this moisturizer on both face and body. It was particularly good for when I wanted to give my skin a break from using actives. It helps reset it, if that makes sense. It's gentle and calming.

One of the best things is that it doesn't leave a greasy residue, which is something I've found with other comparable creams. It absorbs really well.

The quality and feel of this product is also a lot nicer than other similarly priced creams.

The packaging is a nice big size, and the product lasts ages. The price is very reasonable as well, especially for how much you get. I like that it explains about ceramides anf hyaluronic acid etc on the packaging, it feels like it's well researched and contains helpful skin friendly ingredients.

This is definitely the most effective and calming moisturizer at this price point that I've used for my really dry skin. My skin feels less dry and flakey and more moisturized and happy since using this product. Definitely a total favourite.

I didn't know what to expect when using this product but was happily surprised. The packaging was nice and simple and I really liked the smell. It was like a fresh, light sunscreen scent that appeared when using the moisturiser but disappeared once the product was on.

The cream had a nice consistency that was between medium-thick, it definitely made my skin feel hydrated but without the oilyness and tightness feeling. I did have to use quite a bit of product but I do understand creams don't spread as far as lotions. Using this product daily I do think you would get through it quite fast. Which may be a bit costly.

However, after each day of use, I felt my skin was less dry. I did have to still apply each day but a lot less than when I first started using it. It felt really clean and healthy for my skin and I think it does specifically do as it states by creating a natural barrier.

Overall, I really enjoyed using this product and felt it really did work. I would recommend to everyone to give it a try and will highly likely purchase more of this product in the future!

This product was sent to me from Beauty Review to try out and give my thoughts, I have dry to normal skin most of the time and in winter my skin dies get a bit dryer.

I have been trying this CeraVe for a few weeks now and over all I like it, I really like using overnight masks for my dry skin because I love that my skin feels hydrated in the morning. With this CeraVe cream I don't quite feel quite as hydrated as I would like however for the price and the amount you get it works good enough to want to continue using.

The consistency of the cream is is nice not too thick but thicker than a usual moisturizer, I like the fact that this product has no scent, I don't mind a mild scent but no scent is even better usually means there's less chance of any irrations. I have used this cream around the eye area and have not had any wee bumps that have come up like you can get with the thicker creams or overnight masks.

This product has a good thick consistency but it's not too emollient which made me try using this under makeup and this works nicely especially as it is getting colder it did not break up my foundation and wore nicely throughout the day, the cream sinks into skin beautifully and leave almost a soft matt look and feel.

Over all a great product that I think could work for many different skin types just because it's not a greasy formula, and for those who don't like having too many products this one is good for the face and the body. When using it on the body warming it up in the hands first helps the product spread more evenly. The packaging is nothing fancy which doesn't bother me if the product works and it does the job.

I would definitely repurchase and recommend.
