While this cream is designed to be used every day with the rest of the Trilogy sensitive range, I found it was just one step too many for my lifestyle.
Instead, I used it at the first sign of a flare up and I think that is where this little beauty comes in to its own. During my trial of the range, our family went through a fairly intense and traumatic emergency. Both hubby and I suffered horrendous flare-ups of our eczema as we dealt with the stress. I pulled this out at the first sign of our itchy, flaky skin and we slathered it on (his hands, my face and hands). Instantly, our skin felt calm and smooth.
We both used the serum in place of the hydrocortisone and Sudocreme that we would usually crack out at the first sign of irritation. This worked even better than those go-tos.
The glass jar travelled well and we loved the little stopper that came with it so we knew the product wouldn't leak through our gear. It was a little stiff to use though and we'd often end up with cream flying, oops!
But overall, a wonderful, effective, gentle and nourishing serum that will become our new 'first line of defence' against eczema and sensitive skin flare-ups.
I am always a little undecided when it comes to serums. I feel that most appear to do nothing to my skin. But this little bottle of serum, I feel may change my mind. In a gorgeous frosted brown glass bottle with a pump dispenser, this white lotion like fluid is full of natural and calming ingredients. Macqui berry, calendula and Syricalm. It claims to instantly calm your skin, personally, I didn't feel that this claim lived up to expectations. However, my skin didn't flare up as bad as it usually does when i was using this product. The bottle with its pump dispenser is key in delivering just the right amount of unscented product into your hands. I used this before moisturising in the morning and before oiling at night. It was certainly a step in what became an evening ritual, and I do feel that it has made a difference in how my skin feels, if not looks. With time, who knows?
Tips: Press into skin rather than rub. Wait a minute before appyling the next step.
