Garnier Pure Active 3 In 1 Cleansing Mask Review

This product is fantastic!  I really enjoy the grainy texture of it, for me it just feels like it's really getting in there to deal with any impurities.  I have combination skin, and I feel like it's great for the oily parts, I am sure my skin is looking clearer, it certainly doesn't have any adverse effects.  In regard to the dry areas I've not seen any impact but that's not what the product is designed to deal with.  Using it every day, I didn't feel that it was too drying for my skin, though I'm only using it at night to clean my skin and an anti ageing product in the mornings so this may be a factor here.  It's great that it can do more than one thing for simple skin care, I enjoy being able to use it for a mask - the recommended time is 3 minutes and this seems simple to me, and handy to be able to use the same product.  It dries really quickly and is really easy to incorporate into your evening routine. I've enjoyed using Garnier for BB cream in the past but not for skin care so I'm pleased to have been able to find this product and look forward to continued use.

I tried this product with all 3 methods, I prefer the wash as I find chemical exfoliants are less harsh on the skin but the mask was not bad and did very quickly so is good and gave a very soft and clean skin feel. Overall it is good value for money as you get a lot out of the one product.

This is a fantastic cleanser / treatment for oily or blackhead prone skin.

It contains Eucalyptus and Salicylic Acid which are great ingredients for mattifying oily skin.

It contains physical exfoliants, pumice and volcanic rock, so every cleanse is an exfoliation too. You'll want to play around with how often you use it, as I imagine it could be a little drying with over use.

I use it once daily, at night. My skin is mattified and oily free for the majority of the day, and feels smooth and less greasy to touch.

I experienced no further breakouts since introducing this into my routine, and my existing blackheads and spotty areas have greatly reduced with use.

I prefer it as a cleanser / scrub than mask, but it is a good treatment too if you need some intense spot zapping.

I would recommend this to anyone with oily skin or blackheads - even if you only have an oily t zone you could use this as a targeted treatment.

I like the packaging, it's clear and not too busy so I can see exactly what they're selling. Directions are also very clear. At first the smell seemed nice but when I put it on my face it smelt kind of like herbs, not in a bad way, it was just something I noticed. The consistency was quite thick which is good if you want to use it as a mask so it won't fall off your face. One thing I didn't like was the tingly, cooling feeling; it felt kinda strange and it lingered even after I washed it off. I used this for just over a week and hadn't noticed much of a difference; maybe I need to use this for longer but I'm not keen as my skin feels quite tight and dry after I use this. All in all I don't think this is a great product for me, if I had oilier skin I would rate it higher.

This product has three uses - a cleanser, an exfoliant, and a mask. As a wash it does what it says - it gave my face a good clean and got rid of excess oil. As a scrub it didn't really have enough "grit" to really exfoliate dead skin cells and unclogs pores to dislodge blackheads. And as a mask it did help excess sebum and mattifies the skin. It didn't dry out my skin excessively, but did need moisturing afterwards.

The product is like a clay mud mask consistency (with tiny pumice stone beads) but it was a bit slippery so it worked best if I rubbed in my hands before applying. I could remove it easily, though little bits would stick up my nose! The mask took quite a while to dry, so it isn't great if you are in a rush.

The biggest downfall is the smell. It has an overpowering scent, I think it is the eucalyptus, which I really did not enjoy.

On trying this product I was immediately bought back to my teenage years when I first started using Garnier. The product is thick and glossy, it’s feels luxurious on your hands and skin. It feels slightly menthol like on your skin but in the best way! You feel refreshed, smooth and polished after using. When using as a cleanser it is light and frothy on the face. It leaves you feeling clean, but not stripped of oils. As a scrub and mask it is much the same, but leaves you feeling smoothed, plump and refreshed. The smell is pleasant, although a little stronger than it maybe needs. It is a very generous product portion wise and will last a long time as a little goes a long way. The packaging is sleek and the cap seals firmly so there’s no chance of leakage or wasted product. The RRP and wide availability means that it is easily accessible to all walks of life and would be great for those just starting out on their skincare journey and who need an all round product.

This product had me at "3 in 1"!

Being a full time working mum of two littlies, I don't have time for a full skin care regime with loads of different products, so I was excited to try out this 3 in 1 cleansing mask.

This product offers a cleanser, scrub and mask all in one! It was like my prayers had been answered.

The scrub is gentle enough to use everyday and the mask only needs three minutes to start working its magic on your skin.

I generally use this in the shower to wash off my makeup for the day, I just love the smell of the eucalyptus that leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth. To use the mask, I apply the product and leave it on while I was my hair (or clean the shower lol) and then wash it off after a few mins. I like the little tingly feeling on my face, to me it means the product is working.

I don't really know what the difference between using this as a cleanser and a scrub is but I have been using it as a scrub on the daily and it has kept my skin nice and smooth.

All in all, this is a great time saving product.

Skincare is something I've always found Garnier has done pretty well, for a brand you can pick up at the supermarket you get good quality products which work. This 3 in 1 Cleansing Mask is no exception.

The tube packaging is convenient and good for ease of use. First thing I noticed about the actual product was the scent, like most Garnier products it is very strong particularly being an acne fighter, if you don't like a heavy scent then this won't be for you. I think of this more as a 2 in 1 product than a 3 in 1. This is as a cleanser it is exfoliating, so having them listed separately seems like an extra claim. It does work hard as both. This is definately an active not a gentle product. As a cleanser the small exfolliating beads buff away and leave your skin feeling very clean and smooth, but I did find it left mine feeling quite tight so was too harsh for me to use daily. I also found it quite messy and so preferred to useit on yhe shower. I did try this as a mask and found this was very drying but I used to during a breakout and it helped to clear my skin up.

Overall I probably wouldn't use it again as I found it quite harsh on my combo skin but I would recommend it for those woth purely oily skin types, particularly younger acne prone skin. It would be a great entry product for those starting out in skincare too.

Garnier cleansing mask 3 in 1 first off the packaging easy to squeeze out for use the look is very much like garnier products you can spot it easily in store. The lid is secure easy to open and close. I love how the product does more than one thing so many say that they do but fail this product has not. The application is simple and a little goes a long way use warm water to help open up the pores then apply it spreads very easily. The consistency is think and creamy. The smell is lovely it smells of eucalyptus which is fresh. 3 minute face mask which isn't time consuming when you are time poor. I used as directed 3 times a week it did purge my skin so beware of the breakouts within the first week but afterwards it's fine. My skin is left feeling clean and without redness which is nice for a change. I would repurchase this product and its price is cheap roughly around 12 dollars. I would also recommend to a friend looking to help clean acne.

To start off, I have oily combination skin that gets oily around the t zone on my forehead and nose. My skin is also sensitive. I used this product in the three separate ways it states it can be used for: cleanser, scrub and mask. While these products were fien to use as the three separate functions I found that the results were the same and that the actual function to the three different ways ended up being the same. So to me this product is more of a versatile product that basically does all three functions when you use it. However I have only been using this product for a week so I will need to keep using it and testing the results. Especially how it performs as a mask and how my skin improved over time.

As a cleanser this product was great at cleaning my face and removing dirt and impurities. My skin felt soft afterwards and didn’t feel like it was dry or had any stripped away from it. It’s recommended to use this daily, however due to the sandy texture of the product I would recommend using less frequently especially if you have sensitive skin.

As a scrub I experienced similar results as the cleanser. My skin felt super soft after using it but also didn’t feel like it was overly dry. My skin felt refreshed. I will say that I think this product is too harsh to use as a scrub on a daily basis for my skin.

As a mask, again I experienced similar results to the cleanser and scrub. This mask doesn’t dry like a normal clay mask. And I didn’t feel like my skin was any different after washing it off compared to the results from the cleanser and scrub.

The texture of this product is quite thick and it has a gritty sandy like texture which is where the scrub part comes in. It comes in a squeezy bottle which is easy to use and decant the desired amount of product out.

Overall I thought this product was great. However I don’t recommend using this product daily especially if you have sensitive skin.
