I love the care Garnier takes in their products making them so versatile and easy for anyone to use. I like that this product does it all! Instead of spending tones on multiple products like cleanser and masks this bottle does it all! My skin felt very clean even after one use and felt hydrated when using it as a cleanser. However when I used it as a mask because it is a clay mask it did leave my face a little dry but still feeling fresh and felt my pores open and clean. I did find the consistency a bit thick for when just using it as a cleanser and felt it was to thick on my skin for a light cleanser which I prefer but the fact you only need one product for everything is a big plus for me as I travel a lot and hate having to take so many bottles away with me for different skin routines but with Garnier it’s all I need! Overall I loved this product and it was true to what it disclaimed and left my skin smooth and fresh after every use.

Tips: Only need to apply a small amount for a cleanser but a thicker layer for the mask and moisturise your face after using the mask as clay dries out your skin.
The Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 cleansing mask was unlike any other facial mask I have previously used. The three in one part was really ingenious as you just have to have the one product to do a face mask, a scrub and a facial wash. That aspect was totally handy. Now my face type is normal/dry so I found the mask quite drying and it sucked out majority of the moisture in my face and I had to heavily apply moisturiser a couple times the day after. Using the product as a scrub and a face wash suited my skin type better as it was on your face for less time and found it a lot less drying. Overall I found the face wash and scrub really good but I wouldn't use face mask again as it was too drying on my face for regular use.
Tips: Better for an oily/combination face type rather than dry. I would recommend exfoliating your face before using this product as a mask.
An awesome product that really left my skin feeling replenished, as well as having the oily Tzone feeling cleansed, fresh but not dry. The exfoliant was soft enough as to not damage the skin which was a huge plus, as well as the smell being very light and fresh. The clay mask was easy to remove and overall am super happy with the results of brighter skin, I could feel my acne being deeply cleansed which was awesome too. Would recommend to a friend with oily/combination skin over anyone with dry skin already
Tips: Focus on having lots of warm water if a cleanser is the effect you are intending rather than a clay mask as it does form and dry quickly
I was excited to try this three in one cleanser, scrub, and mask but found it was too many things mixed into one formula. It also didnt suit my skin, which is oily, acne prone skin that is sensitive and can redden. The first thing i tried it as was a mask. I followed the directions to apply to face and let dry for three minutes. Before i had even finished applying it started to sting like toothpaste was on your face. I waited for three minutes, my face stinging the whole time. I couldnt have had it on for much longer. Taking it off was a bit annoying with the scrub particles and the mud hadnt even dried, but i noticed my face was redder than before. For positives in the mask, my face felt very smooth. The scrub had similar results to the mask, but again the application was not nice. I found the clay too thick to really scrub my skin and found i had to use a lot. When i took it off my face felt very nice and smooth again, but it felt the same as when i had the mask on.
Tips: Dont keep the clay on for very long
I absolutely love this as a scrub, it really does make your skin feel so smooth and soft after using it and you don’t feel like it’s too harsh either. I would definitely only use it twice a week though depending on your skin sensitivity but my skin isn’t as sensitive so it can handle quite a lot. Using it as a mask is a bit odd In my opinion, it just feels like you’re leaving a scrub on and so it never really properly dries up compared to a clay mask and mud mask which is what i prefer to use. The scent is quite nice and not too overwhelming, it feels super cleansing and your skin feels clean afterwards. Can’t say it got rid of my blackheads but it also doesn’t feel like it’s clogging up my skin. Overall I’d repurchase this again as a scrub.
I really like that a little goes a long way - it is great value. Just make sure that you really spend time making sure it is all off, as there is nothing worse than finding a patch of little bits of dry powder near the hairline, and then rubbing it in to your hairline and making it a million times worse (annoying moment I encountered during the trial!) I prefer to use it in the shower, and that way the water pressure really helps make sure it is all off. The scent is a very strong, chemical type smell so I would be wary of trying it if you are sensitive to that.
My favourite way to use the product is to gently rub it in for about 30 seconds, then leave it on for about three minutes. I found that was sufficient time because it would then start heating up on my skin, and I did not want to risk my skin getting irritated. So I would advise to only leave it on as long as the instructions state. I did this every second day. If I was using it daily, I would alternate between leaving it on for three minutes at a time and then the next day removing it almost instantly as again I did not want to irritate my face. It does claim to be a three in one product however I think it works best when you pop it on, lather it in (to exfoliate) then let it sit as a mask for just a few minutes (not using it every day).
My skin did not end up feeling drier or oilier during the experiment, and it did not get red either or break out which I was pleasantly surprised by. I think it helped with mattifying it a little bit, although not in a WOW way. Moisturiser is definitely required after use, or your skin will feel super dry and then probably produce heaps of oil to overcompensate.
I think I will switch back to my normal cleanser now or at least cut down on how much I am using this per week (probably to two or three times a week). My next idea is to try the scrub on my body skin instead. Although my face did not get visibly irritated, I feel like it might be slightly too abrasive for long term use on facial skin. Because it is such good value, I don't feel like using it on my body is a waste so I am keen to give that a go! Overall a decent, cheap option that is pleasant enough to have on rotation - just don't go overboard with the frequency of use.
This left my skin feeling super tingly and clean, I mainly used it as an exfoliator, which I really liked. It claims to make your skin appear visibly healthier after just 7 days of use but unfortunately I only received it 4 days ago so I have a few days of use yet. My skin is quite problematic, at the moment it seems to have broken my skin out rather than clear it but again, it might be better after a week. It has a lovely cucumber/ eucalyptus scent and definitely feels like it’s going to help. The price is also really fab.
This is another 3 in 1 product from the Garnier skincare range and it was a pretty interesting product to try out. I have to say that it wasn't my favourite (the charcoal one is still the best), but it did a good job of cleaning and exfoliating my skin. I prefer to use these types of scrubbing cleansers a few times a week and always after wearing makeup. It's designed for oily to combination skin which helped to make my skin less oily but I didn't see much improvement in the areas of my face with blackheads such as my nose and chin.
Personally I found the clay to be quite thick which made washing the mask off more difficult so I would recommend using a washcloth/face halo or using the mask in the shower when I wash my hair. Overall this product worked great and I would highly recommend it for those with greasy skin and imperfections but I think the scrub might be too harsh for those with very sensitive skin.
Tips: Use a washcloth to wash the mask off or use the 3 in 1 product in the shower.
I was very impressed with this product! After the first wash my skin felt incredibly clean, with no residue at all left on my skin. My skin is reeeeaalllly oily (especially during the warmer months) but I have to say this product has made a HUGE difference. Normally after a day at uni or work my skin would be an oily mess but not anymore! Also, I have noticed a difference with my spots, they are quickly clearing up. Another bonus is that a little goes a long way with this product, so I suspect it will last a while yet.
Tips: Works great when used in the shower. I often pop it on at the beginning then wash it off a few minutes later to get the 'mask' effect.
I have mixed feelings about this product. I really like the idea of the natural clay and eucalyptus, but I would never use this single product as a cleanser, scrub AND a face mask. I really feel like the exfoliating texture of the pumice and volcanic rock makes this product too rough and drying for your skin to be used that often. My first impression of this product wasn’t great, mainly because one of the first things that make me like a product is the scent. The scent of this product is super strong. I’m all for essential oils like eucalyptus, but this product smelt really chemically and not natural like it could have been. Thankfully after using it two or three times I got used to the smell but I’m still not a big fan. The product itself is okay. I have been using it in morning to wash/scrub my face, and every few days as a face mask. The blackheads on my forehead have cleared slightly and my skin does feel less oily despite the warm weather which is good, however I have broken out slightly on my chin since using this product. I am impressed by how matifying this product is as a face mask so I think this is a good summer product for me, but not for over winter because I feel like it would dry out my skin too much in the colder weather. I think I will be continuing to use this product occasionally face scrub and a face mask but it will not be replacing any of my current daily or weekly skincare routine products.
Tips: The eucalyptus does make your skin a little numb and tingly so if you aren’t a fan of that then maybe avoid this product. Also definitely make sure to avoid the eye and lip area.
