Super hydrating, soothing and smoothing. A little more expensive than the average product but lasts for a long time. I am a huge fan of all clarins products

I have been wanting to try a few different Clarins products for a while. The bottles always look so classy and I had heard really good things about their skin line being well formulated. When Farmers having a GWP and me having some Prezzy Cards happened at the same time I knew a Clarins haul would happen! One of the things I ended up purchasing myself (rather than being in the GWP) was this Eye Contour Balm. I talked to the lady at the Clarins counter and she recommended this as it would be a good eye cream for a younger person (I'm in my late 20's so it needs to do something but not yet into the heavy duty arena).
The packaging is the usual classy Clarins style. Just a small white tube with the dark red writing on it. Somehow Clarins does dark red right where it isn't old lady-ish (here's looking at you Moisture Mist). The lid to this is flat so you are able to sit this upright on your dresser which I like.
This is a nice light gel cream. You only need the tiniest amount and it sort of melts into almost an oil into your skin. It has a slight scent but nothing offensive. I find that it really sinks into the skin around my eyes really nicely and makes it feel really well moisturised. I mainly use this at night but in the morning I find that this dries down quick enough to use before makeup and that makeup goes really nicely on top of it. It is a very light balm/cream so probably isn't for those who want something more heavy duty. I like it though as I have found other thicker creams seem to make the skin puffier on me (not in a good way). I do think this has reduced the fine lines around my eyes and darkness but I don't know if anyone else would notice.
I do really love this eye cream and I do think I will repurchase this if I don't find something else to try in the mean time.
