I'm a big serum user so I was looking forward to trying this. My skin is normal to oily in summer, and while breakouts are thankfully rare, I do have an issue with oiliness. I've not seen many other serums that are marketed for oily skin or for sebum balancing, so it's nice to see this part of the skincare market better catered for.
I tried a sample of this, and the first thing I noticed was how runny it was - it was almost the texture of water, rather than the more oily serums I am used to. It felt great smoothed all over my face after cleansing. It felt very moisturising, and it absorbed extremely quickly leaving my skin feeling quite taut and looking matte.
It smells nice and fresh and I would definitely use it again, though if I was to use it in winter I would follow with a rich and more nourishing moisturiser. I love that it's a New Zealand company and is organic - I will be trying more products from them.
I would think this product is best suited to those with oily to combination oily skin. Dry skins will probably need something richer.
As I am getting older I am aware how important hydration is for my skin. I am always on the lookout for serums as I believe these in conjunction with my usual moisturizer will benefit my skin.
Labonics Balance Serum comes in a 100ml bottle and will cost you $39.00 at Farmers.
I use a serum on my freshly cleaned face and neck. The consistency of this is quite thin which absorbs into my skin easily. When I was younger my skin was quite oily but now it can be quite dry so this serum I found suits my skin well.
Since using this serum I have noticed my skin is softer and smoother and my skin tone is slowly starting to change. I am looking forward to seeing more results from this in the future.
