I got a small bottle of this glycolic cleanser to try from Mecca. This really thick, clear yellowish cleanser foams up and lathers really well onto the face. A little really goes a long way. The scent is one of those typical clean gel scents that either you like or you don’t.
I guess from the amount of make up we apply onto our skin everyday.. it would be difficult to remove all the residue completely. So this product would be quite useful in this case.
My skin wasn’t stripped off that badly afterwards. My face felt clean and purified with a touch of softness. But due to my dry skin, i think using it once a week would be enough so my face won’t dry out too much, especially the tip of my nose which can get a bit pink and flaky.
A little goes a way, so this bottle would probably stay in my bathroom cabinet and last for years. hahahahaha =D.
Overall, this product didn’t really appeal to me. Those with oily skin would probably enjoy this more.
I personally really enjoy using this. I use it after I have taken off my makeup, and find that it helps to really clean my skin, and remove the makeup residues that remover leaves behind. It foams up quite nicely, and a pea-sized amount is plenty enough to clean my face. I think this product is a good value for money and will last a while.
I use this 1-2 times per week, to try and avoid drying my skin out too much. I do notice that it dries my skin out a bit, so I would definitely recommend applying serum and/or a good moisturiser right after using it. When I do this, I wake up with my skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
Overall, I think this is great for someone with combination skin and/or mild acne like me. I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone who already suffers from dry skin as it may make that problem worse.
