I had been using the same foundation for years, it is the lancome 24 hour and has always been brilliant. However, I was having trouble with it not sitting right for about 6 months. I went to see my lancome lady and was considering switching to another foundation. My lovely lancome lady suggested that it was probably more likely to be my moisturiser. (Just hit the big 30, the skin is getting a little dryer uh oh)
So, I re-purchased my usual foundation and a primer and as luck would have it, it was lancome gift time!
I got a decent sized sample bag containing this moisturiser as well as a whole lot of other super awesome stuff.
I have been using this moisturiser for over 2 months and sadly ran out of it today! (My mum gave me her gift sample too, lucky me!)
It has been fantastic! It has a lovely smell that isn't too overpowering, it is quite a heavy cream but does not leave the skin greasy. I've found my foundation sits nicely over it even without a primer and I have had many compliments on how lovely my skin looks and it is the softest it has ever been. Oh and those lovely frown lines I have started getting definitely look a little less scary, much smoother. (Got asked for ID buying wine last week so it must be doing its job. Yay!)
I love the packaging as purple is my favourite colour, the only thing I would say about the packaging is I personally prefer moisturiser with a pump so I don't get it under my fingernails!
Downfall with this product ... As with all lancome products it is just so darn expensive! If I suddenly become rich I would happily repurchase, but sadly I am going to have to hunt for a more affordable option.
This came in a GWP its 15ml (full sized is 30ml) so it's a decent amount the jar is the same as the full sized just a mini. The jar is quite plain it's nice but nothing fancy. The jar is lavender purple plastic with a grey lid with the Lancôme symbol embossed on the lid. and I have been using this for 3 weeks, I am roughly half way through it. The day I run out I am going to be so sad because The price tag $179 a pop at this stage is just a tad too high. (But never say never)
I wished I knew how expensive this was before I started using it. I was putting it on quite thick and kind of feel like I wasted a fair bit, however in saying that my skin gulps it all up. It leaves no greasy residue. Once applied my skin feels plumper, more hydrated and softer. It is easy to wear under foundation.
It is a very thick and heavy cream, the colour is a very pale pink, it is almost heavily scented, it's a florally, powder scent. It's nice but be mindful if you have allergies or get 'sneezy' with heavy scented products. It is also has SPF 15 and is suited to all skin types.
After 3 weeks of using this morning and on the occasional night (I don't know why I wore it at night but I did) I have noticed pore size has shrunk as well as the extra hydration and firmer skin lines on my forehead have significantly soften. I would repurchase this again in a heartbeat if it wasn't so expensive I still am really tempted though.
