I was really looking forward to reviewing this mask, and I was so excited to see it arrive in my letterbox, however it has not lived up to the hype. I have used it 4 times to give it a chance but it just has not really done anything... it’s fun to have a play with and feels nice on your skin, the sensation when it dries is very satisfying but when you peel it off it didn’t seem to take anything with it. No satisfying blackheads, no dry skin, it simply peeled off without much fuss. I will say it is particularly hard to get an edge to pull, but when you do it does tend to come off in more or less one piece, but it didn’t seem to do anything for my skin or pores. I tried several different thicknesses to try and get the desired outcome but sadly have given up. You’d be better off using the strip version you can buy that is activated by water. Aside from the product not really doing what I envisaged, it was nice to apply, the smell was a little overpowering, almost like a cologne. The texture was smooth and thick and the packaging was easy to use. For the RRP it is pretty good value for money size wise, but I will stick with my tried and true masks for now.

I don’t have a lot of experience with these kind of things. Maybe once I bought a tube of it and it was like a bottle of tar that was torture to peel off and left small bits stuck all over my face. When I saw this, I thought I was going to be stuck with the exact same experience. But thankfully not! The liquid itself isn’t so thick that you need a steam roller to apply it, it spread quite easily. When it came to peeling it off, I noticed some had already lifted from my facial muscles moving, the rest peeled off nicely with little pain and I actually saw a visible difference in my skin - to the point where my boyfriend is now begging me to use this on him too.
I used this on my boyfriend who has blackheads along where his hat sits during work, he was SO excited after I used it and he’s been absolutely begging me to use it out on him. I was hesitant mostly because I expected him to act like I was waxing his face when I removed it, surprisingly not. He was saying himself about how he expected more pain then what there was (which was minor) and I wanna say that we saw about a 70% reduction in his blackheads. Ladies, let me tell you I did not expect my boyfriend to fall in love with this. I’ll admit the main reason I tried it out on him was because his blackheads made it a lot easier to gauge how much effect this was having.
Tips: My only recommendation would be to use a tool other then your fingers along the edges of where you apply this, so you can get cleaner margins. It’s not a huge drama if you don’t as any smaller pieces that are left behind come off super easy (unlike another version of this I’ve tried)
For a mask that was such a huge trend I don't see why it was so popular. It didn't apply evenly and would benefit from having an applicator. It was a horrible sticky consistency that felt more like glue than a beauty mask. It hurt to remove as it stuck to my skin really strong and left lots of residual pieces instead of coming off in larger piece(s). After removal my skin felt really dry and irritated. I won't use this again I would prefer something more gentle.
Tips: Maybe do a test patch first to avoid my experience, literally felt like I was ripping my face off.
Garnier charcoal peel off mask is super easy to apply with either a brush or your hand. The smooth consistency makes application easy and the smell reminds me of a men's aftershave, which I like. It did not seem to remove the blackheads on my nose and chin, but it did remove dry flaky skin and left my face feeling very clean and smooth after. Only downside was I found it hard to peel off, but I will continue to use.
Tips: Apply to clean dry skin and use a brush for easier application
I was very excited to review this mask as I have never really tried a peel off mask before. The sent was nothing special, and smelt a little chemically. The product seemed to be of a good consistency, but you needed to use more of the product in order to get a peel-able peel. I noticed that my skin appeared fresher and I noticed that it did remove some dead skin and some white/black heads. My pores did not appear to change in size. In summary, For the price of this product I would use this product again, but not considering this I would most probably reach for another product/ mask first.
Tips: Apply moisturiser post this application (and removal) as it can be quite drying.
Unfortunately as much as I wanted to like this product I didn’t. It was messy with minimal results, I didn’t notice any difference in skin texture after first use. The consistency is thick and black and gets everywhere if your not careful, i made the mistake of not pinning my hair back far enough and all my hairs fliaways got caught and stuck. Removing the mask was easy enough, didn’t come off in one clean go and it did hurt the sensitive areas on my zone. Positives- I love the ritual of a face mask, so I’d say it was nice to take the time out for myself.
Tips: Tie your hair in a high ponytail OR use a headband. Only apply to tzone. Use a bit of water to remove hard to remove areas.
The product is black and thick. As it says to leave on for 20-30 minutes, it is much longer than most other masks I have used. I also don't like the smell of the product that much and it can be a bit off putting. Because of this, there is a lot of time consumed from having to wait around with the smell of the product lingering right above your nose. I'm not entirely sure that it actually removed blackheads but more time is needed to tell. At this point, I can't say I love it or hate it.
Tips: Do not recommend this to anyone with sensitivity to smell!
I found this product pretty tricky to use and took way longer than I would’ve liked to take off/peel off. The effects were nice and skin felt soft and smooth but the effort to take it off wasn’t worth it. I ended up washing most of it off.
Tips: Layer it on thick so it’s easier to peel off
I’ve seen many videos about this peel off mask . I thought I would get my hands on this mask see what all the hype is about. I like to do my weekly mask at least once a week . This way my skin gets a deep clean.
Packaging comes in a black and blue tube with the Ganier labelling . Consistency is smooth like a silicone paste. Scent reminds me of mint mouth wash. Definitely need to layer this up into a thick layer so you get a good result. It took a good 20 minutes for it to dry down. If you can leave it on for longer I recommend it . As I peeled the mask off I felt all my peach fuzz on my face come off . Felt like a mild waxing lol I didn’t really see any black heads being removed from my nose area . They were still there . I’m gonna keep trying it to see if there’s any new results that may happen.
Overall price wise it’s fair. It was so easy to pick from my job after work . I think it’s more of a novelty thing . My skin did feel cleansed. But not as deep as what my mud masks would give me . I probably wouldn’t buy it again because of that .

I think my husband was more excited to try this than I was lol.
I loved the nifty little tube the product came in, making it easy to store and to travel with.
The product itself had a nice scent to it, not too chemically like some others can be.
The product was easy to apply, I did this with my fingers and it was mess free. I applied a medium layer on my T-zone as directed and waited for it to dry, which I felt took some time however this could've been due to the application being thick in some areas.
Once the product had dried, my skin felt tight but not uncomfortable. That was great.
I was a little nervous about removing the product as I had expected it to be painful and uncomfortable but much to my surprise, it wasn't.
The peel-off, peeled off with ease taking away the nasties from my skin with it. My forehead felt smooth and tingled for a bit afterwards.
I found this product to be quite useful for removing blackheads and fighting shine, which is something I suffer with daily.
I was so pleased to be part of this trial and my husband got to try this as well!
