Lush Sunflower Bubble Bar Review

Lucky me to get Lush for Mothers day (it still counts I bought it myself right? the kids told me they wanted to buy me Lush I just bypassed them picking which bits haha).

Wow, the size of this bubble bar is insane! it's like a side plate. It's weighs in at 230g... I can cup my hands together and it fits perfectly.

I don't usually like citrus scented anything (well maybe kitchen cleaning products), but this.. not too bad! it's light and fresh... not over-powering, and for some reason (strange but probably obvious why) I was expecting it to smell floral. The marigold petals are a nice touch, and don't bother me too much having bits float in the water, if it does you can either pick them out or run the bath through a sieve with the bubble bar pieces in it.

The chunk I broke off was the size of two of the large flowers petals and it was more than ample to fill a bath full of bubbles... it did turn the water an unfortunate shade of yellow however.

At that rate I would easily have had seven baths out of this product... I think I'll share the rest with the kids... as much as I do like it I still prefer others more. Skin is left feeling soft and not over dry like some bubble products do.

This would go nicely in a bath cocktail with either dragons egg or Honey bee

This was a recent release with the Mother's Day range but it only came in a gift pack, annoyingly. I still bought it, because I'm insane and I needed to have it. The bright yellow, not usually a color I go for, called my name and delighted my eyes with how pretty it was.

The size!!! Good grief! I know they say size doesn't matter but with this bomb it does, because it's so darn big!! Weighing in at roughly 230g, and being almost 15cm long it's one of Lush's biggest bubble bars. Decorated with dried sunflower petals was the icing on the large yellow sunflower cake.

It arrived in all its yellow and orange glory, and I was amazed at just how big it was. The smell was even better! Its light, smells like citrus and is really uplifting and zesty. Because of how big this bar is, you can easily break off 2-3 petals and get a decent bubble bath out of it. It's awesome!

I will say though, that this bubble bar is incredibly soft and breaks easily, but that's not a huge deal for me because even crumbly it'll still work. The bar turns the water a lovely yellow color and the bubbles are lovely and fragrant. It's a gorgeous bar and I'm disappointed it was only here for a short while!

I recieved this bubble bar in my mum box from Lush. During the mothers day period they sold these one off boxes that appear during this period. There was a a variety of bathing and showering essentials within this box. My first experience trying bubble bars and bath bombs. These boxes are great value for money .

All lushes bubble bars come wrapped in clear plastic which is holds these bars in perfect shape. The size of this bubble bar is bigger than any of my other bubble bars that I've ever tried. About the size of my whole hand. This bubble looks like a bright yellow Sunflower. Very cute. This texture is soft slightly grainy bar that is quite delicate. Be careful how you break this one up it can turn into a crumbly mess.

When I went away I tried this in a spa bath. I broke this bubble bar up onto this water. As soon as running water hits it these yellow shards turn into fluffy white bubbles.As soaked in this bath I can smell an array of citrus lemons . Its tangy and fresh leaving me feeling invigorated and uplifted.

The quality of Lush bubble bars are undeniably good. This one bar got me a total of nine baths. Only a small amount needed but it lasted me a long time. Price wise it's fair . Your getting a generous sized bar that packs a bubbly punch. I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy another.
