So soothing

When I received this in the best of summer BBBE I put it on my shelf thinking it would be great for my feet and hands before bed but then I found a much more magical use for it and I am so grateful for this balm!

The small 30ml glass jar is cute and sturdy with a screw top lid. It's not over the top fancy but it's practical.

The balm itself is not overly thick or hard so it's easy to scoop a piece out and it melts so quickly on your skin, the best consistency I have found in a balm so far. It has a gorgeous slight lavender scent with just a hint of coconut.

Now this is where I found it a miracle- about a year ago I got an under boob tattoo that goes across both ribs right down to my belly button (hey it seemed like a good idea at the time) anyway recently it has become raised and super itchy and nothing would soothe it no moisturiser, cream or oil then I looked at this balm and thought it wouldn't hurt to try and instantly the itching stopped once a massaged a small amount in. It felt bliss. It doesn't leave your skin feeling really greasy either and leaves it just delicately scented. After using it for a week the tattoo is nowhere near as raised or itchy. I've been using it morning and night and will continue until it's back to normal. I will have to purchase another jar before I run out as I don't think I could be without it. I have also used it on my hands and they are left feeling super soft. I only use it at night on my hands as I don't like any residues on my hands during the day.

Highly recommend this balm if you have really itchy and dry skin it's so nourishing and soothing.

Oh I love this!

Winter is the time for dry and itchy skin in my house. So this product arriving was a blessing.

The packaging is gorgeous - simply, classy, non-fuss. It looks lovely, it feels like quality and the best thing is when it's empty the little pot can be reused to store lil bits and bobs. Win for upcycling.

The balm is pretty solid, I was initially concerned it had frozen in the cold, but it melts so beautifully and easily upon contact with the skin.

It smells like lavender, but it's not too nanna-ry and it also doesn't have the citronella smell of Trilogy Everything Balm. It's a wonderfully calming scent, I really enjoy it. Could this work as a sleep balm? Maybe, I'll try it!

I've used this on: my persistent greyscale patch, my cuticles, my dry lips, my flakey hands, my rough feet, my dry knees, my sore nose, my burn and my toddler's boo-boos. (Yes I am a sexy flakey beast). All to great success. As other reviewers have said, it's not the best lip balm, but in a pinch it does the job.

My husband really liked the balm on his calluses, but couldn't get passed the lavender smell - he said if it smelt more manly, he'd stop using Vaseline. (So this is a stingy man giving up his $5 product for a $25 product...it must be good!)

Speaking of price, yes, it's pricey, it's on the same price level as Trilogy Everything Balm, but in my opinion it's far superior.

So all up. I love this balm. It's brilliant. I shall be repurchasing in the biggest tub I can find.

Cheers BR!

Tips: Good luck trying to get the tune to Kokomo out of your head.

Co-co-nut. Ku-kui nut. Ooo I like lav-en-der.

Fabulous..

Lakoko balm is totally an amazing product. With all its natural ingredients makes me feel good about using it especially when it comes to my children. My husband sufferes from flaky dry skin and he used Lakoko balm twice and his flaky dry skin was gone within two days of applying twice a day and also in four days of using it on my daughters lips which were so cracked and dry they are now healing so well and she loves using it on her lips to. The aroma that Lakoko Balm presents is smoothing and relaxing all at once which adds to the upmost pleasure in using it. Have already recommended this to all my friends and family i believe in this product. Lakoko Balm is definitely worth the money in trying for any skin, hair or anything in between complications.

Tips: A little goes along way.

Lakoko Multipurpose Natural Balm

I was really happy to land a spot on the trial team for this balm. I haven't used many balms and being an all natural balm it was right up my alley. Lakoko comes in different sized jars, the size I was given for this trial was a 30ml jar. The balm comes in dark brown glass jars with white and light blue paper with the name and a bit of information about the balm. The jar looks nice on my beauty table. When I first opened the jar I wasn't a fan of the scent since it smells like lavender and I'm not into lavender, but now I detect for lime and orange notes at the end so the scent has grown on me a bit. I love that this balm is all natural - coconut oil, kukui nut oil, cera alba, white beeswax, vitamin E, lavender oil, and essential oils of cedarwood, mandarin and lime. Due to the high coconut oil content when my room is cold, the coconut oil is solid and the balm is difficult to get out of the pot and I really have to dig it in and then rub to get it on my skin. When my room is warm and I have had the heater on for awhile it it's soft and easy to spread on my skin.

The main use I had for this balm was my eczema patches on my hands. A flyer that was included in the parcel with the balm suggested using it to diminish ageing on the backs of your hands. I've been applying the balm at least twice a day to where my eczema is flaring up on my hands and while the bumps aren't gone yet my skin is definitely less itchy and the patches haven't spread. It definitely soothes the itching and helps to calm down the eczema. I don't think my hands look more youthful yet but they are more moisturized. The balm doesn't absorb and leaves a protective layer on my skin. The moisture stays on my hands even if I wash them but not through multiple hand washes. I definitely will keep using it as a treatment for my hands and eczema.

I have also applied very tiny bit of the balm to my dry ends. Since my hair is fine I was concerned that using this as a hair treatment would weigh down my hair and leave it greasy and limp, but instead it absorbed into my ends and made them less dry and frizzy. I didn't apply it to my lengths though just my ends.

I've also used this as a lip balm and it gives my lips enough moisture to last a couple hours. While it doesn't beat my favorite lip balms, it's worked better than some cheap chapsticks that left a waxy layer on my lips but didn't really sink in or moisturize. I'm not used to putting something lavender scented on my lips though as I'm used to my lip balms having more yummy scents. But it's nice to know that if I lost my lip balm that this could stand in for a few days until I was able to find out replace it. I don't know how quickly I'll use this jar of balm up but I definitely do like that it's all natural and it's multi-purpose. I definitely will be considering purchasing it when I run out.

Tips: If it's cold it's pretty solid so you'll need to rub it a bit to get some out. If you are going to use it for your hair use the tiniest amount rub in your palms to liquify it and apply it too the ends. Less is more when it comes to your hair. I can't talk for coarser thicker hair since my hair is quite fine, but if you apply too much and apply it every day it can build up and get a bit lanky. Luckily due the coconut oil it does shampoo out nicely and leave my ends soft. If you use this as a hand treatment keep it to the backs of your hands since it doesn't sink into your skin much or use it before bed.

Paradise in a jar!!

I Love Lakoko Balm and use it in my beauty therapy business facials and massage sessions. As well as using it at home. Its fantastic on the skin as an all over nourishing balm as well as the face - but also I have used it as a hair mask! It doesn't leave the skin "oily" or greasy and the fragrance is Summer and the tropics in a jar! totally recommend

Tips: I use the balm warmed slightly and put through the ends of my very dry and bleached hair - it leaves my hair soft and no longer fluffy!

Very nice Product

Very nice product, you get a lot of product in such a small container, its very oily - yet isn't greasy, It didn't make my hands/fingers greasy when scooping and applying it, it worked wonders for my lips! which are very dry, i liked it on my skin - i didn't notice any changes with using this on my skin, but it still felt nice and refreshing, i think its a great product to try and use as its so versatile

Tips: You need to use a good amount, as a little doesn't go a long way with this product.

Fabulous 'everything and then some' balm!

I was excited to receive this for trial, even though I wasn't 100% sure what it DID. The short answer appears to be 'everything, Trudi. It does EVERYTHING... and then some'. I'm a fan of Trilogy Everything Balm, and this is very much the same kind of thing.

Lakoko Coconut and Kukui Nut Balm comes in a gorgeous little jar - brown glass, with a black plastic screw top lid, and pale blue and cream labelling - it kinda just screams 'recycle me!' and I plan to!

The balm itself is a solid type, that softens when warm and is easily scooped out with a fingernail - I'm anticipating perhaps needing to use a makeup-cotton bud as the level gets down though, due to having long nails and not wanting the oil to get stuck under my nails....not that it would hurt!

I have used this so far on....

- my hands - bumps and scrapes - my hair - my nails - the soles of my feet - my lips - on temples and wrists to aid sleep

On all counts, it's lovely. It's perfumed - I smell the nut and coconut, but also lavender and can pick out the hint of citrus. It's not a super oily oil - absorbs nicely and is soothing rather than greasy. It's also healing, having had a great effect on minor bumps and grazes. It's nice in my hair, to pull out and gloss up my curls without being hugely greasy. On my lips its a good emergency lipbalm, but I'd rather use my Blistex. It's softened my hands and feet nicely!

All in all, I'd buy this again. $25 seems a lot for the teeny pottle, but the smallest bit goes a really long way.

Fave use so far - on my nails!

Tips: scoop out a small amount to start wth - this liquifies, so you really only need a teeny bit to cover a larger area, eg hair. If you have too much on your hands it's wasted

The balm of wisdom!

Thank you Beauty review for making me be a part of the Trial team for the Lakoko multi purpose balm, I am all for finding out if things are as good as they advertise and this balm had me surprised in many ways.

When I received this, I didn't realize it would be so small, my first thought was I would finish this within 1 week of use but was I wrong! Once I got past the size of the jar, I saw how beautifully simple the packaging was, the 30ml glass jar has a heavy luxury feel, its something about glass objects that give off a luxury vibe to them. The scent is quite unique, you can smell the coconut oil, a hint of citrus like the citronella candles and lavender, it has an uplifting relaxing effect.

While trialing this I used it as much as I could, and I used it a lot! Ive used maybe a teaspoon in the time span of a week and a half and Im impressed with how much is left.

My lips and nose have suffered from the cold windy weather so they were perfect things to use the balm on. I use the tip of my nail to scoop some out and using my finger tips heat up the balm before applying it. It isn't greasy unlike other multi purpose balms which I really like, it settles on to your skin very well. This has helped keep the dryness on my nose at bay but it hasn't helped my dry chapped lips, its only fixed the dryness of my lips for 10-15 minutes before I need to reapply more, I can see how this could be costly as the balm isn't cheap so I use a lip balm for my lips and the Lakoko balm for everything else.

It has been a favorite to add to my hair, it moisturizes the ends and gives a soft natural looking shine to my hair. Ive been applying this to my sons eczema on his cheek since I received this and it has nearly disappeared a week after applying the balm daily.

I would repurchase this, infact I will be getting one to keep in my handbag, overall it is a great multi use balm I just wish it would help with my dry lips, but it does help with everything else.

Lakoko Balm

As someone who has combination skin and frequently gets blemishes, I was sceptical of the idea that oil based products such as this could actually work for me.

Having used this product for a week or so, I have begun to understand the hype. I used it last thing at night after thoroughly cleansing. A little goes a long way, the balm is quite hard but melts as you apply it. By morning it had nearly all absorbed and I found that my skin felt better than normal after cleansing - not so tight.

The main attraction for me was the smell of this product. It contains lavender, which aside from smelling wonderful, helps you drift off to sleep.

Tips: Apply sparingly or you may feel like an oil spill. Apply at night. The smell is quite strong and can irritate your eyes if they are sensitive to such things, so I would recommend steering clear of the eye area when applying.

The best treat for your skin

I love this product. First day of trialling it and my skin felt amazing. All winter I've had really bad itchy dry skin around my nose and nothing has helped...until I tried Lakoko. Soft smooth skin and it smells so good. Would definitely recommend this for all those who need a pick me up for their skin this winter.
