Tips: Buy lots!!!
I ordered a couple of these from the Lush UK site before they were available here. These make a great refreshing bath on a lazy Sunday morning. The citrus colors and scent make it feel like you a bathing in a giant tub of Fanta. It still puts on a good show - when the purple bath melts are released, it really does look like a lava lamp.
This makes your skin feel incredibly soft afterwards without the need for moisturiser. But OMG. The. Mess! Even cleaning the bath afterwards could not get rid of all of the purple that clung to the bath - some of it for weeks afterwards. I won't be buying this again as Lush have now discontinued it. I suspect this is due to the mess it leaves behind.
The little purple bits is solidified cocoa butter oil that melts once it hits the bath and literally looks like a lava lamp!! The bath turns an awesome orange colour which smells so citrusy!
He would be this one! This reminds me a lot of Austin Powers, purely for the fact that it's called Lava Lamp and looks very 70's. The color is gorgeous, bright orange with big purple spots, and to be honest, it looks like its name.
The smell of this bomb is pure Fanta. I wish I smelled something different, or at least something deeper, but when this is bubbling away in the bath I feel like I’m sitting in a few hundred litres of Fanta. I ain’t complaining cos I love Fanta, but it might not be for everyone.
In the bath the purple spots, which are actually wee bath melts, do what they do best and that is to melt! The result is a bright orange water with purple oil, and again, they hit the nail on the head with this because it looks JUST like a lava lamp. It leaves the skin feeling amazingly soft, but the smell doesn’t linger (at least not on me).
The one thing I strongly dislike about this bomb is the MESS the purple oils make! Good GRIEF this stuff is a mess! It stains the side of the bath, so every time you use it you have to clean the bath. With most LUSH bombs I don’t bother, but this one I had to get out some hot water and the scrubby brush. It honestly didn’t take much to remove but it was annoying how bad it stained.
