This isn't like most facial oils - it's a dry oil, so it doesn't feel sticky or heavy on the skin. It absorbs pretty much immediately, which is unique in my experience of facial oils.
The Turnaround oil contains salicylic acid, which is what gives it exfoliating properties. Basically it's speeding up your cell turnover so it makes your skin revitalised and almost 'glowy'.
I have oily skin already so I wouldn't use this on its own - instead I mix a drop or two into my night-time moisturiser. I think what's neat is that you can do this with pretty much any moisturiser, so you can adjust how much oil you're using based on how dry or oily your skin is.
The packaging is cute too, and fairly affordable compared to some other Clinique products!
This was an impulse buy of the finest kind, I needed to get over a certain value to get a GWP off of a website, so low and behold the prospect of this recently released oil fell into my cart.
I have been using this for around a fortnight now, at night only, a pump or two in with my night moisturiser. My skin is combination dry with enlarged pores and oily t-zone.
Packaging: This comes in a beautiful blue tinted glass vial bottle, with a silver toned depression lid that with a click sucks the oil up into the built in droplet tube (pipette I think it is called) the tinted glass allows you to see through the bottle to easily gauge what you have left. The oil itself is clear as water with a slight oily texture but not at all greasy.
Formula, like I said this oil is clear and virtually odourless or it possesses scents that my nostrils don't register. The texture is very fluid, like a thicker form of water giving it a lightness that isn't sticky or greasy. Upon application is absorbs quickly into the areas needed. When I first purchased this I got over zealous and dumped a heap on only to be left with the oily t-zone patches showing signs of visible surface residue that needed to be blotted off with a tissue. So the key is a little drop or two is more than enough.
The effect on my skin wasn't a dramatic overnight affair, or was it at all life changing after a week, but come the middle of the 2nd week things began to look perky on the facial skin front and I know that during that period the only new thing being applied to my face was this oil. I had been suffering with the change of season, my pores were playing up, being overly enlarged, a couple of pimples adorned my chin area and the dryness was making any primer or foundation I applied appear cakey. However I noticed that the skin had regain some balance at that turning point, it felt and looked plumper, more youthful and really hydrated. My skin is starting to look more refreshed versus the stressed and tired state it has been in of recent weeks. My water intake or sleep pattern hasn't altered so I honestly feel that this oil has been the answer to my prayers to the skin gods.
