I have to say the actual product itself was wonderful, it soaked into my skin and moisturised accordingly and worked as describe, my hands especially were quite soft after application I am happy to say as a person with dry and reactive skin that I had absolutely no reaction at all so bonus for me! I did find I had to wait a little while before putting clothes on otherwise I got the greasy transfer onto the fabric but found it easily fixable with a little extra rubbing time, otherwise it worked well at moisturising all areas of my skins with the exception of my dry heels which remain dry no matter what I put on them. However I think I would be more likely to use this product as a lip balm or as a once a week treatment rather than everyday as its just a lot of rubbing required to get the product onto your hands and then onto your skin again out of the jar. The biggest annoyance for me was the amount of work it took to get it onto my skin. The product is firm inside a jar and requires the heat of your skin to get it soft enough to spread. For use on the body it would probably be easier to use in a stick form that pushes out like a deodorant making it far less work to get onto your skin to begin with, otherwise you are stuck rubbing this stuff for a while and it takes a long time to get it everywhere and absorbed into your skin.

Tips: I would avoid puttting this product on your face as its just too heavy for this area of the skin. As feedback to the creators: a stick form would be a lot easier to apply than in a jar.
I received this balm to trial just before the holiday break and have been using it every day since. I used it in two ways - as a lip balm and to massage a small facial scar following recent surgical removal of a benign cyst. It worked well for both applications, keeping my skin soft and moisturised without being greasy. The balm is a pale yellow in colour and has a very faint beeswax flavour. For a balm, it's quite solid and it can take a bit of work to get it going - but I see this as a positive. There are a couple of real benefits to this product. Firstly, the amount of product (50g) is very generous. I have been using it daily for about a month and have barely made a dent. Secondly, the product doesn't melt like other balms. I've been carrying it in my handbag and its been sitting in hot rooms but has remained a semi-solid consistency without going soft or going 'off'. While the balm itself isn't revolutionary, if you're looking for one product that will last for ages and for a multitude of uses, this may be just what you're after.
Tips: This would make a great balm to keep in the glovebox of your car.
I have been testing Wild Ferns’ balm for 1 month at the time of this review (Jan 2018).
The consistency of the balm is very compact. I either scrape it with my nails or have to push my fingertip into the balm to collect some of it. This is the only negative aspect of this product. Once the balm has warmed up on my fingertip, it is easy to apply and a little will go a long way. I was expecting the balm to smell of Manuka honey; it smells like paraffin.
I have used as follows: - I have applied it every night on my dry lips and I have awaken with smooth lips. - I have massaged it on cracked dry feet before bedtime and the result in the morning is a nice smooth skin. - My husband has rubbed it on an hematoma which has helped in reducing the bruise and has covered a long skin abrasion where there too, the balm seems to have helped with the speed of the recovery. - My daughter has used it on a sunburn to soothe the discomfort.
It is not a product I would use every day on my feet and body as the nourishing effect will last a few days. However I will definitely use it on bruises and skin irritation when needed.
At $26.60 for 50g, I find this product is worth the money. It is 100% natural, made in New Zealand, paraben free, and not tested on animals.
The packaging of the Wild Ferns Manuka Honey balm is a nice honey yellow colour which can be recycled and is even printed with biodegradable inks. There is no wasted space in the box. The jar is easy to open and close.
I will recommend the balm to my family and friends and will send some as gift oversea to my family. It has shown good results every time I used it. The only inconvenience is to take some out of jar.
Tips: Warm it on your fingertips before applying.
Great product!
Packaging is a little outdated to me, a creamy yellow screw top plastic tub with a sticker that looks like a tourist shop product. But it is a generous 50g container, and worth the RRP.
Consistency is a little hard to begin with and you need to dig into it a little with fingernails to get a decent amount of product out. However, once warmed it glides on easily and has a very slight but gentle scent.
I used this product as a lip balm, and to soften dry skin on hands and feet - was amazing. I also used it on a persistent patch of eczema and believe it has really helped to reduce the itchyness and redness.
I also used it on my tattoos and it definitely seemed to help freshen the area and pop the ink visually without leaving a greasy look on the skin. It was also great on my nail cuticles! The only thing I didn't like was the smell it left on my hands following, it seemed different on my warm hands than in the container.
Product has a good consistency to carry around in this warm weather, but container a little big for my liking to pop in a handbag so would need to decant into something smaller.
All round great product though, and keen to purchase again to support a kiwi made product that does what it claims!
Tips: Warm the product on fingertips before application
Well I've been using the here there an everywhere balm for a few weeks now, and it not only smells yummy but it feels nice when used. It spreads nice an smooth as it melts with the heat of your skin as you apply it, I have had a few very dry rough scaley parts on my right hand that have been so annoying sticking around for what feels like forever. I have tried so many things to get rid of it cause my hands have been looking like guys hands for a while, I hav had little to no luck but in weeks of trialling this product it's not so dry an is starting to look like girls hands not mans hands. I will definitely keep using this to see of it goes away fully, and will absolutely recommend this to all fams an friends especially ones who have babies. It is not a harsh balm an ive used it on my 2 year olds lips and on his bites and cuts, it's very nice on him also. This has helped his bites and cuts in healing up faster than normal without getting all scarred up like some of them used to, and he loves putting it on his own lips he said it smells very yummy
Tips: When in doubt try it out After a shower I put some over my whole face an hands it's a habit to keep up with
Cute packaging looks natural and nearly like a table spread yummy
The plastic pottle is yellow with a screw top lid, the contents inside look like a candle wax off white in colour with a light fragrance of Manuka honey
A nice melting consistency that soaks in nicely it does leave a shine a little residue I used this on all the areas that suggests that you can use a balm for cuticles dry patches etc eyebrows to smooth over a wee bug bite And it did a lovely softening job soothing and healing During this trial I ended up in a dry environment with not many products with me I did have this as I was trialling it
Dry hands and I developed a crack on my heal a cold sore creeped in with dry lips and my face stung from to many tears my hair went frizzy when I washed it and I got a touch of itches in a special area
This little pottle of glory saved me from frizzy hair I run my hands through my hair with a tiny dollop melted into my palms left me non frizzy without looking greasy I loaded my heal up with balm and a sticky it took the sting out and it even improved the crack Helped sooth my cold sore and cracked lips I melted this balm into my palms and pressed my face into my hands covered my eyes as rested I found this was nice and soothing stopped my face from stinging didn’t even make my eyes blurry I even used it as a light moisturiser and yes I put a wee bit there you know where I mean Oh it did the trick just soothed that area whew So when this says here there and everywhere balm it really is
Would I buy this yes a little goes a long way and my gosh it’s a all rounder When your caught short this does it all even removed my makeup
Healing and natural yes puts a nice wee barrier on as well Dollar wise value for money
Tips: Use sparingly as a little goes a long way Warm up between palms of your hands for easy application
Wow this is not an everything balm, it's a magic balm!! I should start by advising that I suffer from mild psoriasis and recently this has been playing up a lot on my inner wrists leaving me with sore, red & awful looking skin. My daughter (2yrs) suffers from non-specific dermatitis behind her knees, in her elbows and in random little patches all over her body, with minimal success with other creams. So when the chance to trial this product came up I was excited but dubious about the outcome. Well this is certainly surpassed my expectations. My psoriasis on one wrists is gone (I have uploaded pictures) & hugely improved on the other one. AS for my daughter her skin condition by nature comes and goes, but as soon as we apply this within a day the red dryness is mostly gone & as long as we keep applying it she is happy. During our summer holiday I also brought it along for things like insect bites which my son usually reacts to in massive swelling - this was far less now because of the balm.
I love that it's so versatile because no only is it good for skin conditions it makes a pleasant lip balm, and I found myself rubbing it into my nail beds often. The Packaging is cute in a pale yellow that represents nicely the Manuka Honey that this product is based around. I really like that while it goes on a little bit greasy it is quickly absorbed and doesn't like oil marks on clothes.
I would absolutely buy this again, I'm almost afraid to be without it now.
Tips: The balm is pretty firm when you first buy it & while it kills me sometimes to dig things with my nails, the results were better when I was able to warm up and scoop out a bigger portion.
thank you to BR for the opportunity to review this NZ product. when i got the invite, i was very intrigued to try this balm that claimed to be 'anywhere everywhere balm'.
i have had a nice long time to try this product. i will confirm that it is moisturising on the lips as a lip balm, can 'heal' minor cuts, and does well on dry spots on the body or face. my ultimate test was to see if this 'anywhere everywhere' balm can help 'heal' my husbands dry cracked heels...I'm afraid to say it fails at this.
so would i buy it again? No, i don't feel it is worth the money...even with the fact that it has 'healing active manuka honey'
did it do what it said it would? yes and no. its good for minor scrapes, sores, and dry spot, but what other moisturiser or cream isn't? and the fact that it wasn't able to make change to my ultimate test on my hubby's cracked heels, it definitely isn't the be all and end all of 'healing' moisturising balms. i would never throw out my other creams and moisturisers to replace it with this one.
would you recommend it to friends? No. for its price, most definitely not.
Tips: its got a lot of 'natural moisturising' oils in it, so be careful where you put it. i.e. don't put on your feet then walk around, and maybe don't put on your face if you are naturally oily.
This product is amazing! I don't feel I have high standards but I do expect a product to do what it says its going to do. More often than not I find I have wasted my money. At first glance this wouldn't be a product I would take a second look at on the shelf. The packaging is quite plain, I feel its going for that natural kind of look, its not bad, just not eye catching. It doesn't have much of a smell and a bit of an odd taste I noticed after initially putting it on my lips. I did not have high expectations for this product. However, after being given this product to trial I can absolutely understand why its called Here, There and Everywhere Balm, as this is exactly how I've come to use it. Firstly, I concentrated this balm on my cracked heels. One of my feet being particularly bad since I was pregnant 6 years ago. I have used many different heel balms and I do find they work, but in no way do they work as fast as this has. Even after the first use I noticed a difference. Slightly smoother and not as deeply cracked looking. I continued to use it everyday and mixed with exfoliating in the shower my deep deep heel cracks have pretty much gone. This was after about 3 weeks using it daily/as often as I could remember, definitely faster than other heel balms. I have also been using it on a stubborn scab I had from a minor surgery that just would not heal properly as well as sandfly bites that I had been riddled with from a local river. My son also gets a sore/rashy bum when he eats some foods so I used it on that also. All of which have really healed up quickly. I'm very pleased with this product and I can honestly say I will continue to purchase this. It is a great useful product to have on hand and has many uses.
Tips: As the product says use Here, There and Everywhere :)
Balms are tricky to get right - you want one where the formula maintains its 'solid' state but melts easily when you want to use it. But you really don't want one that melts on a hot day, then re-solidifies with those bitty, erm, bits.
So we've had a run of dismal weather in Christchurch of late, followed by some really hot days. I'm talking chocolate melting in the cupboard hot. The Wild Ferns balm has held up really well - no signs that its completely melted and the formula feels as easy and pleasant to use on hot and cooler days.
This product melts beautifully into the skin and is absorbed really quickly for a balm. You know how Vaseline or pawpaw sit on the skin quite heavily? I felt this sunk in really well, and when trialing it as a barrier ointment on blisters, just applying a thicker layer did the trick.
This smells faintly of honey, but other wise its free from fragrance. The packaging is a sturdy tub and boy do you get a lot of product for your money!
I've used this as a lip balm, massage balm, foot balm (slather and pop on socks...amazing results over night!), elbow moisturiser and nappy balm.
I really enjoyed this product and would buy again.
