I bought this in the Boxing Day sales. At under $6 for a 100ml bottle the deal was too good for me to pass up. It's refreshing and has a beautiful rosey scent from the rose oil. I wasn't sure if the sea water would irritate my skin as when I was younger swimming on at the beach the salt water stung my face, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this quite soothing and refreshing. Even at full price this is quite affordable for a natural spray toner. However this isn't the best toner or my fave toner, as other toners have done more to improve the condition of my skin. I would consider repurchasing this if it was on sale or if I was on a tight budget but if I did have a bit more to spend I probably wouldn't repurchase this. But this is a good toner for someone just getting into more natural skincare and is on a tight budget.

Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water Softening toner to soothe and revitalise the skin. Breath of Fresh Air is one of our seaside products, inspired by the Dorset beach coastline. You don’t have to live by the sea to appreciate it; all you have to do is get up in the morning! Sea water is full of mineral salts. Breath of Fresh Air makes your skin feel extra fresh and healthy because we add soothing aloe vera gel, rejuvenating rosemary and calming rose. Use it after cleansing, or refresh yourself at any time of day.
Reviews
Tips: Lovely for spritzing on when your skin is dry. If you like it or are just interested an affordable toner I would recommend checking if it's available in the Boxing Day sales as you can get it at an even more affordable price.
I initially went into Lush wanting the Eau Roma Water toner, which I've heard is fantastic for sensitive skin, but the store was currently out of stock. The sales assistant recommended Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water instead, saying that it was still very good for sensitive skin. And it definitely has been! This is a lovely toner, which comes in a spray bottle. I love this fact in itself, because I usually find myself using far more toner than I need to when it just comes in an open bottle. It doesn't have a strong scent at all, but feels wonderfully refreshing on the skin. I usually spray my face 3-4 times, then wipe off with a cotton pad. Afterwards, my skin feels tight from the salt water, but it's tight in a natural and good way rather than the awful, dry tightness frequently caused by artificially drying cleansers. After applying my moisturiser, my skin is left feeling very fresh, balanced, and ready to start the day. Would recommend for all skin types, although possibly not for extremely dry skin.
I originally brought this product after a recommendedation to give my skin a pick me up as I have been suffering seriously dry skin this winter. Smells wonderful, easy to use, and great value for money. But I've found it doesn't add anything extra to what I had already been doing. Cleanse tone moisture is still the best and regular toner is what I have gone back to but I love this product as my makeup sponge damper now and gives that extra bit of moisture back to my skin via my makeup.
Originally I went into Lush seeking a skin consultation with the tea tree toner in mind for my oily, acne-prone skin. Instead I was suggested this toner, Breath of Fresh Air, which would refresh my skin without stripping it of the natural oils.
Firstly, I love the spray bottle packaging. Simple but effective in delivering the right amount of product to the skin without creating excess waste in the form of cotton balls, fitting with Lush's image and the idea behind Breath of Fresh Air.
The first spray delivers a burst of refreshment to the skin with the light scent of salty sea water and a hint of rose, the fragrance disapeering quickly. I love how invigorating it feels without stinging or being too astringent like some toners can be, you can feel it working without it being too drying.
I am incredibly impressed by this toner and really prefer it to the harsh, medicated toners I have formerly used, highly recommend!
Tips: I like to keep a small amount of this in a travel-sized bottle (I use my elf setting spray bottle) to take with me away as I find it fantastic for refreshing the skin throughout the day.
I purchased this in the 50% off boxing day sale, so I've had a couple of months to test out and see how I feel about this toner!
Packaging:
For the price, the amount you get it quite generous. It is packaged in the typical lush look. An issue I have with mine is that the spray part of the bottle doesn't spray in a mist like I expected... more like a squirt . But I tolerate it and still find it usable.
The product: This toner isn't too drying which is a huge plus for me. Because although I have moments when my face is oily, I don't want to trick my skin into thinking it needs to product more! It's quite lightweight on the skin and I haven't experienced any pain or tingling when using this on my sensitive skin.
The scent isn't too overwhelming and I can't smell it at all after about 20 seconds which is good because I cannot stand face products that have a scent!
Overall: I cant specially say if this product has improved my skin overall because around the xmas period when I purchased this alot of my skincare transferred over to Lush only. However, i have not noticed any additional breakouts or acne, and have overall noticed an improvement in my skin since making the switch!
I actually went in store to pick up the tea tree toner, but the lady suggested I pick this one up instead, having heard that I have super sensitive skin, as it has aloe vera and rosemary to soothe the skin!
I am obsessed with this, and I'm onto my second bottle, and I will be purchasing this for as long as they make it!
It comes in a spray nozzle bottle, in two sizes - I suggest purchasing the small one first and seeing if you like it before making a leap and buying the bigger bottle.
What I like about this is that you can use it two different ways, and for multiple purposes. You can either spray it directly onto your face to refresh throughout the day, or use a cotton pad and wipe it all over as a toner- or cleanser. It's a great face refreshener, so if I'm feeling hot and sticky throughout the day, I give a couple spritz of this on my face and let it sit and dry - best part is it dries within minutes. I also use this on no makeup days when I can't be bothered washing my face before bed. Just a couple spritz and a cotton pad all over, and my face is fresh and clean for bed.
It's a very light weight, almost like water formula, with a very mild beach scent, nothing to irritate. The smell like the product itself is actually very calming and relaxing.
Best part about this is that it works to take care of sunburnt skin - by cooling it, and also clears my face of acne. Having used this toner twice daily in conjunction with my face wash, my acne has significantly reduced. To the point where I only get a couple break outs monthly!
It also brightens, and whitens my face as well!!
I've used toners before, and haven't really been convinced that they're needed. I decided to try this toner as I figured a spray bottle would make it quick and easy to use after cleansing, and I've had good experiences with Lush products in the past. I just bought a small bottle of this, I don't remember the exact price but it wasn't very expensive. I was tossing up between this and the teatree toner, but decided to give this one a go first as I wasn't sure about smelling like teatree all day. The packaging is in the standard Lush style, and even though I bought a small bottle it has lasted quite a while already. The only problem I have with the packaging is that the spray does come out quite forcefully - I would prefer more of a lighter mist as it does make me flinch when I use it. Aside from that, I'm very happy with this product. It's super soothing, it's great to cool your face down if you've been in the sun or you have sensitive skin. It's also so easy to use. I will definitely be repurchasing either this toner or trying the teatree one, now that I've started using it I'm hooked!
I purchased this product to help with blemishes and acne however it did absolutely nothing for me and just felt like water on my skin. Was guttered to say the least after hearing everyone else's rave reviews.
another great product from a great company. has a lovely fresh salty scent that is instantly cooling. reduces redness and oil production when i use it after exfoliating. (i have oily skin) it is a product i repurchase every time though I'm now interested in other scents.
Tips: use after cleansing and before moisturising to restore your skins pH balance.
I am not one to usually use a toner, but I bought this on a whim in hopes of a miracle product. Sadly, this hasn't done anything miraculous to my skin; nothing bad but nothing good either. Hence the downgrade in rating.
What I do like though is that it is really refreshing! It is great to spritz on in summer to make your skin feel refreshed after a shower. I love the scent and the natural ingredients, just sadly it didn't really do anything great for me. I wouldn't repurchase because of this.
Tips: Despite not working for me, I would give it a go if your skin is feeling tired - after all it is really refreshing!
