I have acne prone skin and for me, very few products have worked as they said they would. Therefore, when I tried this, after it being recommended by my cousin, I was really impressed! It helps to dry out those large nasty pimples. You know the ones. Massive and red and just gross. But because it is so drying, only use a little bit and only on the spots where necessary. And always make sure to moisturise afterward.

Reviews
This was a weird product to use - it smells as expected (tea tree), and went on as expected (like a gel that dries). I used it sparingly on my face, and it didn't help any blemishes, but I think it helped to prevent any more to appear - so that was a good aspect. The bad aspect is that after applying moisturiser and makeup, by lunchtime at work I was shiny and oily and gross. It was at the stage where I was wiping excess oil off my face by mid-afternoon (and of course taking all my makeup off with it). After maybe 3-4 days of this, I stopped using this product and my skin went back to normal. Didn't like this one at all, sorry!
I have been using this gel as a spot treatment for about a year now. My friend recommended this product to me and I just had to try it.
It is quite a runny gel and a little bit goes a long way. I apply a wee bit to any pimples I have after cleansing and moisturising my face at night. I feel that this gel does dry out any pimples faster and improves healing as I no longer get deep scarring like I used to.
It does have quite a strong tea tree scent which I don't personally mind, just a warning for those of you's that do.
Definitely worth a try for anybody with regular breakouts and one tube of this will last at least a year if not longer.
Of all Thursday Plantation acne products, this is the one that I have found to be the most effective.
On standard pimples there was no noticeable difference in speed of healing between using this and using nothing, but on deep pimples I think that it really penetrates the skin and gets things moving.
The scent of the product is quite strong, but that isn't too much of an issue as you're only using it in small doses on small areas, so it's not overpowering.
I would definitely recommend this to be tried as a potential natural alternative to some of the harsher products on the market before moving onto those products.
About Me
Let me start off by sharing a bit about my skin. I have very oily and acne prone skin. I've had acne for more than 10 years and have been on every drug, cream and face wash you can imagine. Things tend to work for me for around a month and then the acne returns. I believe my acne is hormonal and before using this product it was moderate in severity.
Results
I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now. Unfortunately it has made my skin worse and I now have a lot more acne than before. It does, however, dry out new pimples very quickly, within about 2 nights they are just a red dot. I started off using it morning and night, applying a thin layer to my whole face and neck. I noticed that during the day my skin was very oily. As a result of this I stopped applying it in the morning. The up side of this is that it doesn't dry out skin like other acne medications.
Would I recommend it?
I would recommend this product to those who have occasional breakouts, who need something to clear them up quickly. I love the fact that it's natural and non-drying! I would not recommend it for severe acne as I don't think it helps prevent new acne from developing.
Nuts & Bolts
Consistency- This comes in a gel and a little goes a long way!
Fragrance: This smells very strongly of tea tree oil, great if you like that scent!
Application- It's easy to apply, just massage a small amount onto problem skin or use as a spot treatment.
Coverage-I usually use a baked bean sized amount for my whole face and neck.
Longevity- Based on how much I've used so far I would estimate this product would last over 3 months.
Packaging- The packaging is good, it comes in a tube with a tight lid so no leakage.
Tips: Keep it right away from your eyes and wash hands after use, this stuff burns!
