Trilogy Mattifying Moisturising Lotion

Trilogys Moisturiser arrived in a tube that is easily squeezable, with a metal cap, a sleek design with their signature mark. Whilst this tube is indeed easy, the one thing that did concern me was the size of the hole in the tube, the product moves freely meaning if you squeeze a little to forcefully, you end up with more than you bargained for. That being said, the product is fantastic, for day to day wear, it is easy to apply, and less is best, there is no shiny after feel, no greasy after feel and it is absorbed very quickly. Underneath makeup as a primer worked well also, as the makeup held well without "falling off" the subtle fresh scent of this moisturiser, was welcoming and not over powering. I had no breakouts with this product including during changeover from my normal brand, and over time is has reduced my dry areas in the T zone, as well as the redness in my cheeks. very happy with this one from Trilogy

I used this after my morning face cleanse. It has a lovely light scent which is a must for me as I can't have anything to strong near my face. It is a lovely light cream that absorbs quickly and leaves a wonderful base for applying makeup for the day. It definitely didn't make my skin oily and I would definitely use this again. I love that it is NZ and backed by Natrue.org

This moisturising lotion is a nice treat for the face. It definitely took the shine off my skin without making it look dull. Its very light going on and absorbs quickly and smells refreshing. Didn't do much for the fine lines and wrinkles but my skin certainly feels lovely when using it. I used BB cream over the top and I think the BB cream stayed on my skin a lot better when using the pair together. I would happily continue using this moisturiser.

I was soooo keen to try this as I really hate shiny skin…. Promising to reduce shine & balance the skin (with rosehip, witch hazel & lemon myrtle) had me sold. But did it work? Oh my – it sure did! I truly love this product. It did exactly what it said – my skin feels so smooth & soft but also hydrated without any greasiness. And it lasts almost the whole day…. I use oil absorbing sheets prior to refreshing my make-up & often have to use two; using this lotion I often don’t feel the need or only use one. Better talk about the properties – certified natural mattifying lotion, rehydrating & balancing & preps for perfect make-up application & it replenishes both water & oil. It also contains oils & salicylic acid. It does contain Benzyl alcohol as a preservative but this is one of the better ones to use & it is clearly stated on the label. It does not contain an SPF & I haven’t tried it with one yet. Personally; I will also introduce an age defying night cream as I do like to use ‘anti-wrinkle’ products & don’t need the mattifying effect overnight. However the lotion was great to use at night & my skin felt amazing on waking. Oh & it smells really nice – fresh & not chemically smelling like some natural products do. Would I use again – definitely!

The Trilogy mattifying moisturising lotion comes in a 50ml squeezy tube and contains a wonderful mix of ingredients perfect for oily and combination skin. Rosehip, witch hazel and lemon myrtle ... who would have thought. I love the smell of this, its a clean fragrant scent, with a touch of refreshing. Easily applies and absorbs. I find my makeup applies perfectly with a matte base, perfect for makeup application.

A real winner in hydrating and priming for oily combo skin.

I really love this! I love the way my skin absorbs it straight away and there is no residue left. I use it with my skin care routine in the mornings before I put my makeup on. I feel that my foundation blends better with this on as a base and my skin seem a lot less oily. Throughout the day my skin and make up usually end up looking shiny but now that I use this is not until around 5pm-6pm that my makeup/ skin looks like it needs a little touch up or help haha. When I am not wearing makeup my skin looks a lot less oily across my T zone and the dry patches I usually have around my chin area all seem to have reduced, giving my skin a more even look. I really enjoy the subtle fragrance of this lotion, it's not over powering and it's very nice. The bottle is also really good, no wastage and I'll be able to get it all out before purchasing more.

This product is beautifully lightweight and hydrating. This lotion has a pleasant aroma, I love the Lemon Myrtle scent, it is fresh and uplifting. This cream is quickly absorbed into skin and keeps the oil production down, skin is moisturised and balanced without feeling greasy. The tube is easy to use and you can dispense the precise amount without getting messy or contaminating the product. After application, skin is prepped ready for makeup or bed/sleep. Lovely to use and my skin stays shine free all day. A great product for oily -combination skintypes.

Again, Trilogy excels in this lovely mattifying moisturising lotion. I found it to be much creamier than most lotions I have tried which suits me fine as normally I avoid "lotions". It has a light fragrance which isn't overly perfumed although i couldn't quite pick up the lemon myrtle notes. It left my skin feeling nourished and non greasy and not shiny at all. At $49 for 50ml, it is a little pricey and doesn't have a spf in it so I would probably only use this before bed.

I’ve never used Trilogy before until now and I have to say I’m a total convert!

I’m 40 with oily ness of a teenager, as annoying as it is , my skin still looks young -ish haha!

The packaging is sleek easy to grab and squeeze tube.

I’m not a fan of lemongrass essential oils but I’m happy to put that aside from the effects and the way this moisturiser works so well for me! A hydrating yet mattifying lotion , IM SOLD!

It hydrates which I love yet reduces shine really well, glowy but not an oil slick.

I’ve found it does tingle a little from the salicylic acid , but it’s not bad at all.

My skin looks amazing with this , I use the hemphip oil right over top morning and night and my face isn’t dripping in oil. So trust me this range really works!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I read 'Mattifying' as I like a it of a glow to my skincare and makeup - and I tend to not use matte finishes when it comes to my skin. Thankfully, this product has balanced glow and matte, for the perfect finish!

This moisturiser, like the cleanser, has that Mojito scent I've raved about throughout this trial. It really is that delicious and wonderful.

The moisturiser itself, is a delight too. It's light weight, nourishing, and easily absorbed, leaving your skin looking healthy, but with that perfect balance of not too shiny too. With everything Trilogy, you don't need a lot of product to enjoy the benefits of their skin care, so just a pea size again, particularly if over top of the Hemphip oil, is plenty to nourish your skin, and set the scene for applying your makeup.

I had no issues with pilling, or sliding of makeup over top of these products. I use Aleph foundation, which isn't a 'matte' foundation, but the two really complimented each other and I felt my foundation lasted well through the day, and my skin felt continually moisturised too. I tended to use the moisturiser only in the morning, opting for a Night moisturiser for extra nourishment at night.

There wasn't anything I didn't love about this moisturiser. It absorbs quickly and does what it says it does. Again, a little goes a long way, so these products are great value, and fantastic performing for my skin. This whole range was amazingly impressive. I look forward to continue using all of the products.
