Lush Celestial Moisturiser Review

Redness. Stinging. Irritation. Sound familiar? Having sensitive skin can be incredibly frustrating (even painful!), which is why we invented our most gentle moisturizer, Celestial. With its creamy cocoa butter base, Celestial effectively moisturizes without irritating ingredients like citrus oils or alcohol. We blend vanilla water, to help the skin retain its moisture, with hydrating almond milk and fresh dove orchid extract to keep delicate skin in soft, glowing condition. Celestial also doubles as a fantastically softening night cream for all skin types.

Vanilla, almond, soothing, what is not to love!

Like all Lush products this is not tested with animals and made with mostly organic materials. This cool soothing moisturiser is often the only thing my skin can tolerate. It isn't the cheapest product out there and I wouldn't recommend the container for traveling as it tends to leak but it does everything you need. The only caveat is if you are allergic to nuts you may react to it. It also doesn't have sunscreen in it so you need an additional product for daytime use. But as a night moisturisers it is one of my favourite products.

Tips: Pop it in the fridge and use chilled on hot nights, bliss!

Almonds are actually classed as seeds, not nuts, so often people who have nut allergies don't react to almonds.

Good to know that this container gets a bit leaky! When I get this bad boy, I'll have to pop some into some other pots for travel. :)

Love!

I really need to repurchase this! I was sad when I scraped the sides clean and found it was out of stock online. This cream reminded me of yoghurt! It's all I can think of when describing the scent and texture. I would use it at night as I would use a different cream that contained SPF for the daytime. I found it balanced my skin out and kept it so plump and hydrated. I was less prone to redness and overall my skin just felt calm and moisturised.

I seriously am going to go and check to see if it's back in stock right now!

A LOVELY Moisturiser

I tried the Lush Celestial Moisturiser several months ago after having it recommended to me by a Lush sales assistant - WOW this is actually one of my favourite moisturisers now!

To begin with, Lush is one of my favourite companies in general because of all the amazing things they stand for - recyclable packaging, animal rights and natural ingredients to name just a few! It's such a good feeling knowing that you're helping to support great causes with their products.

The product itself comes in the typical small, black, screw-top Lush plastic tub. The moisturiser is creamy and white, and smells BEAUTIFUL! Very vanilla-y and delicate, such a lovely smell. I personally do have quite sensitive skin, and I found this moisturiser to be very soothing, gentle, and nourishing, without being over rich or over greasy.

My only con for this product is that it does not contain an SPF, but if you're using SPF in your makeup then it's not really an issue. It lasted me a good 4-6 months, so well worth the price, and generally just an awesome investment if you've got sensitive skin.

I thought the same about the SPF, but I guess at least you can use it night and day and just pop a separate sunscreen on in the day if you had to. So keen to get this one - I've been trialling a tester and it's LOVE!

I've only tried this once, at a pamper night, but your review has reminded me to search it out...thanks!
