If you're a mother then you will probably understand the want for less visable stretch marks, which is what made me buy this is the first place. I cant remember the price I paid for it, but after relising that it didnt really do what it says it does I remember being disapointed i'd paid so much. I used Bio oil at least once a day for the 2nd half of my pregnancy. I found it to be soo oily that it wasnt a nice feeling putting clothes on top after you have applied it. The smell was fine, but it definatly did nothing to my stretch marks or other scars around my body. It definatly helps moisturise-(if you dont mind that oily feeling) but for me personally i cant stand it! Wont be using this again, and years later I dont care so much about the appearance of my stretchmarks! :P Its availability is good, the packaging isnt so pretty-felt a bit clinical, but i did find i liked the orange looking oil.

Got one of these for myself and my mum and have been unimpressed with the results. On the positive side i did find that where i applied the oil my skin was soft and the scent was fine but thats about it for the positives. I have two good sized scars about 4-5 cm in length, stretch marks and dry patches of skin and I applied the bio oil to all of these areas for about two months. I noticed little to no difference in the appearance of my scars and stretch marks through this time and gave up after two months. My dry patches were hydrated but I can achieve this through the use of the moisturiser I get from the doctors so not overly impressed at all. So the search continues sadly :( don't think I will be recommending this to anyone.
Not sure about this product I have tried it on scars and it feels to have made the skin softer and more supple but hasnt changed the look of it at all and in regard to stretchmarks it hasnt worked applying daily. It is good if your skin is really dry to replenish and make it feel lush again, but I dont believe that it has any effect on the look of scars or marks
Tips: Use it daily as recommended
I used this on my pregnancy. It is easily available in any supermarket. I like it and will recommend it to other mums as well. It has a delicate scent and is perfect to those who have sensitive sense of smell on their pregnancy. You have to be religious on its application to see some results.
I was advised to use this on scars to improve the appearance of the scars. I regularly applied this product with no effect to the scars, and I didn't really like the greasy feel I was left with on my skin. in respect of stretch marks, I have found these fade of their own accord over time. I now use a good moisturiser after I shower which helps keep my skin in good condition.
Tips: Use a good quality moisturiser instead.
After using this product for two months, I noticed that the stretch marks I had been applying the oil to were slowly starting to disappear and not look so red. Considering I bought this product off 1day.co.nzfor only $15 and it is 125ml I am quite enjoying the benefits. It smells a bit like soap so nobody can tell you are using it. Am starting to use this on spots of dry skin and has been working wonders! Everything else I have been using has made it worse.
Tips: Put a small amount in your hair for soft and silky hair.
I didn't like this product much at all. Didn't have luxurious packaging or feel and didn't live up to its advertising. Ok as a bath oil to use it up. But had a greasy feel on dry skin.
Tips: Use in the bath
I found this to be very good. I recently had stitches etc and once it had healed well I started to apply Bio Oil to help with the dryness etc. I found that it helped a lot with the stiffness and that it was a lot easier to walk etc once this had been applied to my sore on the back of ankle. I also started using it as a night cream and my skin is so soft now.
Tips: Don't apply heaps as it is quite oily
I know there is very mixed reviews on this product, but i found using it twice a day everyday on scars for two months very effective i have noticed huge differences ! I do think with scars though there is a point where products like this wont work, its something to start using straight away after a scar is formed for best results !
Tips: Strangely enough bio oil is very effective used lightly on your face, i found it worked very well with uneven skin tone and redness on may face, along with acne scarring (use a very very small amount though, too much oil on your face isn't too good for it)
During puberty I aquired a lot of stretch marks. And I mean a lot! Mostly on my bum, hips and thighs. When I fell pregnant I was determined to try everything possible to avoid stretch marks on my stomach. I started from 4 weeks gestation applying bio oil religiously twice a day. I also used 1 other brand of oil and 1 other brand of cream. So 3 products total twice a day. I felt like a slippery sticky mess but at 40weeks gestation - No stretchmarks. The areas that I didnt use the oil, breasts and bum etc did get stretch marks.
The price of bio oil is quite expensive. But a little does go a long way. I used 1 large bottle throughout my pregnancy. The scent is fine. I did find it to be more greasy than other brands though.
Tips: Try it
