Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Lotion Review

This is a brand that has been around for years, I remember a bottle of the original version on my parent’s dresser. I think the only thing that has changed is the packaging and the addition of Aloe and Cocoa butter variants to the range.

The bottle is a rectangular shape that has a slight curve inwards on the rounded sides. It has a flat flip top lid so when you get to the end of a bottle you can stand it on its head to make sure you get everything out of it.

The product has a bit of a aloe cucumber smell but I think it is more chemical than natural. The lotion is pale green and is runny. The product once put on the skin goes into the skin with a bit of rubbing. For me I can still feel it on my skin about 12 hours later.

It is a product that has stood the test of time. More importantly I know that if I’m away or don’t see a moisturiser that I want to try and I can grab it, it works but it is not my first choice.

Vaseline has to be one of the brands I buy the most. This particular bottle has a flip lid which means you don't get the sometimes unfortunate misdirected squirts that can happen with the pump bottle.

The cream inside this bottle is a bit more liquidy that I would like and I feel they are perhaps economizng on their products slightly. Therefore the product can be slightly runny when applying it to the skin. However you can still get good coverage, just not quite a thick.

I really like the aloe vera component, it does definitely help replenish the skin.

After using Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Lotion my skin feels moisturized and refreshed and decreases in dryness with continued use. I prefer a few of Vaseline's other lotions, but this would certainly still be a contender, especially when it's on special at the supermarket.

Good moisturiser smells great absorbs pretty much as soon it’s rubbed in doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy ,very good to use on sunburnt skin as helps keep it hydrated and prevent peeling

This lotion smells absolutley amazing! I admit, I did only buy it because it contained Aloe Vera and we all know that stuff is good for your skin! I got with staff discount, so it was relatively cheap.

I am not that great when it comes to routine so I don't use this as much as I should but when I do it makes my skin feel really smooth and smell really nice. It is really soothing for sunburn as well, I rubbed it into my boyfriends very much burnt shoulders and he said that it reduced the pain and cooled the burn down a little which is perfect for sunburn.

All in all, it is a really good lotion and I would definitely recommend for people.

I picked this up on special and thought I would try it. It comes in a light green package and is quite a good size. I just picked it up from my local supermarket.

It moisturises fine. However the smell for me is way to over powering. It's a very strong aloe smell and it lingers on the skin for awhile. It is very good at soaking in and hydrating the skin but I just can't get past the smell.

I will not repurchase as I think there are just better nicer smelling moisturisers on the market.

The actual product has a very creamy consistency although it's very liquidy. It's smells quite nice and does leave your skin moist. The only bad thing is it dries really quickly and is not very long lasting so I find that I have to often reapply throughout the day.

the consistency of this moisturizer is bit thin and runny - which means easy to apply and while it feels moist and cool on your skin it does get absorbed fairly quickly. it smells great and the aloe vera is of course good for your skin so thats a plus.

This is a light moisturising lotion that has a runny consistency, while it is easily absorbed it doesn't provide the hydration my skin needs. The scent is fairly strong but not unpleasant. I will not repurchase this as there are other brands that I prefer that are creamier and more nourishing.

My teenage daughter suffers from terrible eczema and she swears by this so I thought I’d give it a go. There’s something so fresh and invigorating about this scent. It absorbs well into my skin and has really helped hydrate my dry legs over winter. I love that I can just pick it up at the supermarket and because it is so affordable I’ve been using it as a hand and foot cream too. I’ve tried the other scents but always end up going back to this one.
